I do not get any content when clicking on settings. I am also unable to login on firefox but can login on chrome. It is very odd so most likely going to do a clean install and backup config / database and try again. Don't know what to troubleshoot or what log would even be helpful. I did a couple of updates without clean install so most likely the updates are piling up on top of each other causing conflict. I doubt that it is my browser but will clear cache anyway.
My IPTV provider changed the server URL today & i can't for the life of me find out how to change it in the web player settings??
I thought if i went into 'Devices' i could change it there but all i get is a Xstream screen where i enter the new server URL, username & password. I click on enter or continue & nothing happens. EPG doesn't download.
Could someone please help me (with steps please) how i go about changing the server url.
Love the program. Only thing is, the desktop app is glitchy - the video is jittery. The web player works perfect - it records with no issues. Video/audio is smooth. Any reason why this would be the case - have an i3 laptop with 8 GB RAM so that can't be the issue but i can't figure why the desktop app doesn't work well but the web player does??!
The info I get when I run
service nextpvr-server status:
See text file ( I hope I have done this right!)
Leads me to think my install of NextPVR may be OK
BUT I am missing dotnet.
So I have made repeated attempts to install dotnet as per https://i.stack.imgur.com/6rmCA.png
only to get the result:
E: Unable to locate package dotnet-runtime-6.0
E: Couldn't find any package by glob 'dotnet-runtime-6.0'
Have tried the full SDK as well
Have also tried wget and snap
Always getting the unable to locate/couldn't find message
I've gotta be doing something wrong but - with my limited knowledge I do not know what!
Anyone else succeeded in getting this to work on a Pi4?
Quote:Fixed issue with ATSC scan on linux only picking up first virtual channel on each frequency
Fixed an issue with conf files when copying channels to a new device on linux
Fixed a crash that could happen on Linux with genre 0xFF.
Fixed an issue with invalid characters intermittently stopping EPG data from loading sometimes on linux.
QAM will now use VCT information if it was available in the frequency while scanning
Improved behaviour with Schedules Direct tokens when using multiple applications which access Schedules Direct account
Fixed error with Schedules Direct errors not being reported correctly when trying to add a lineup
Fixed issue with preferred language not working with playback in nextpvr.exe
Added a few extra scanning options on Windows (like ATSC Korea)
Reenabled thetvdb.com as artwork source
Build for mac is now marked as portable, so that it can use Intel or M-series runtime.
Removed a couple of noisy log messages.
I'm trying UIDroid for the first time, and installed it via ADB on an ONN 4K box. When starting the application, it shows a black screen for a few seconds then crashes. Attached is an abbreviated logcat log. Here seems to be the main culprit:
Code:
java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'android.view.View android.view.ViewGroup.findViewById(int)' on a null object reference

I have 3 HomeRun cable card boxes, each has 3 channels, I use 2 computers running NextPVR v6. If one computer picks up one of the channels on one of the HomeRun units, the other computer is blocked
from being able to pick up one of the other 2 unused channels on that HomeRun box.
I discussed this problem with HomeRun and their final response was; ..."Selecting a particular tuner to use is a function of the NextPVR backend. That is something you'll have to contact NextPVR about."
Strange behaviour with windows 11 the desk top app doesn't seem to play live TV.
I have reinstalled and am on Version: 6.0.0.220904
When I click on Live TV all I get is ...please wait...
and it just stays there until I quit the app.
The webapp seems to work fine.
Any ideas?
Hi,
I've been using NextPVR for years and have been a big fan. I was running the older version 4 on my Windows 10 computer and an old Win7 machine with no problems,
very snappy performance.
Recently my Win7 hardware quit so I replaced it with a new Dell XPS 8950 (Intel i7 proc, 32 GB RAM, Radeon Graphics). It's a very high performance machine; yet when I installed and configured the newest version of NextPVR I'm getting very slow performance and attempting to use the video skip function is so painfully slow that
it's not useful at all.
Wondering how I can go about fixing this, would using different CODECS make a difference?
I can supply further info but just wondering if you had run across this.
Thanks for your help.
