I have 2 HDPVR2's connected to my NextPVR system, and they work fine, but every so often it seems like it is frame dropping for no reason. It does not happen all the time just some times, I suspect it has something to do with the input source being 60fps and it only recording at 30fps but I am not 100% sure of that. So my question is to other people using this device also see this issue and has anyone figure out a way to stop it from happening?
In the windows server is it possible to run a command Is it possible to run a command before a recording is scheduled and pass arguments regarding the recording?
I know I could use the blaster command, but I would like to pass my script the name and length of the recording as well.
Hey All,
Im running NextPVR on a windows machine media center and its working fine. I also have kodi installed on the same machine. It used to be working fine but a while back the addon started to fail to load.
Today i cleared my roaming appdata out and tried to reinstall the addon but im still getting errors
In the kodi.log error
2022-10-20 19:58:22.200 T:10824 ERROR <general>: Win32DllLoader::Load: Failed to load "C:\Users\ldb26\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\pvr.nextpvr\pvr.nextpvr.dll" with error 126: "The specified module could not be found.
I have checked that directory and the file exists.
I am not sure if it is related but I am also running kodi on a nvidia sheild in the same household and it is also failing to load, maybe the issue might be linked to the server? I doubt it as its working fine recording shows etc.
I mainly use kodi as an interface to access the content recorded. I need to look into that some more.
Hi,
just installed the latest version of NextPVR on a windows system and I am now unable to see any details on the settings screen other than the menu on the left hand side. The other screens show full details but the not the settings screen. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or is seeing the same issue.
Today, there were 2 episodes of Good Doctor, but as you can see in the logs, the second failed to record with this error : [Failed: An error occurred while sending the request.].
I am unsure if this is related to the recent update or simply to my setup (Ubuntu VM on TrueNAS Scale), but I think that is something you would want to look at.
My Hardware: Silicon Dust HD HomeRun Dual
Software: OS is Windows 8.1 PRO
Set up NextPVR for use this TV season as 8.1 support is ending along with Windows Media Center. Everything was working fine...until this week. No changes to my software or my hardware were made. No updates area available for Silicon Dust tuner.
But now I am getting records failing with an error saying: [Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.]
I read this mean you just need to stop and restart the service. I did this and scheduled a recording and it worked fine. But then about 12 hours later I tried to view LIVE TV and the NextPVR application crashed again. Just shows a white screen. I then stopped and started the service and it was working again.
But this is not something I can tolerate, having too stop and start he service multiple times a day, and hope it will be available when a recording is set to start.
My settings page in the browser
Is displayed as black. I just updated to the latest version and hope it fixed it. I am not sure what I did wrong.
Side note, adding a post or searching on a phone now is a little broken. I had to use desktop mode to come even close to making it usable. I am on an iPhone 12 Pro.
