this post is more for the dutch people. I recently discoverd that floppydtv is stopping its production. In NL (ziggo area) this is a disaster. Why? Well floppydtv is about the only PC card you can put in your HTPC.
I would like to know how you out there record digital tv from Ziggo with a HTPC...
I have a Haupage 150 with blaster. I chose exe and pointed it to haupblast. In live TV and for scheduled recording it blinks but does not change the channel on My Scientific Explorer cable box. Blastconfig changes it no problem, Win TV changes it no problem, sending a manual channel via Haupblaste.exe via the command prompt works fine as well. Not sure what is up. Any thoughts.
Im almost there. Everything is working except for when I want to watch a channel that I select in the guide. If i highlight the show and press OK, the OSD guide updates to that channel but the STB stays at the same channel. Obviously this is something that I might need to set up in HIP however, Im not exactly sure which keypress and code to use.

I can watch live TV in PVRX2 from either tuner. When I record I get a 6 KB file that is typical of a failed recording and obviously it won't play. I just upgraded to 1.4.7 and the latest HDHR firmware. I tried going back to older HDHR firmware and re-scanning channels in config.exe, no luck. Logs and config.xml attached.
The scan crashed because the device could not be found (or something like that).
I ran filtercheck (see the log attached) and it had different filters than the thread so I changed BDA to this:
[AverMedia Duet A188]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=AVerMedia 716x BDA ATSC DC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=AVerMedia 716x BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
Lo and behold I could scan but there were no channels found :eek:
I loaded everything on the avermedia CD thinking there was some middleware I missed, but still no luck. I tried using the avermedia SW and it successfully scanned and showed live TV.
I installed GBPVR on a fresh install of Vista. The first thing I did was go into Config and change the directories for the video, picture and music libraries. I pointed them at mapped drives.
When I go into the program and pick "Video Library" the original directories including Bunky are still listed there. I figured that I hit a bug in the new version so I de-installed and installed the 3.11. And I STILL have the same directories even though 3.11 doesn't even mention the Bunky directory.
I tried deleting everything in the GBPVR before re-installing 3.11 and even scanned the registry looking for the rogue directory names to no avail.
I checked the config.xml file and it has the correct directories in it.
I have an MCE remote and I am running HIP. I have HIP configured with the key maps found in the wiki. I have HIP learned the STB remote key 0-9, CH+, and CH-. When I test the IR from within HIP, HIP can change the STB channels. However, when in GBPVR, when I change the channel, the channel doesnt change but the guide at the bottom does. What gives?
- I am running hipsend with the following parameters: {channel} 500 3 1
- I have the capture source set to: composite, external tuner
- I have the recording service set to allow desktop interaction
