Hi,
Just went to check the week's recordings and all are conflicted as the HDHR is unavailable. I ran the HDHR software and it came up with a firmware upgrade which I applied and I could now watch TV successfully. But I have no idea how to get NPVR to now see the device. I have rebooted the PC, hit rescan for devices and nothing seems to work.
Any ideas gratefully received.
Thanks,
Stanno
I have 3 playlists with the same channel names. How do I determine which one is which? If when selecting a channel, the playlist was shown, I would know which playlist I am recording from

My TV tuner card has suddenly developed a strange problem.
The card is a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD Model 1628
NextPVR Version is 6.0.0.220904
OS is Windows 10 Pro x64 21H2 Build 19044.1949
PC components are Gigabyte Aorus Elite B450 Mainboard with AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 Ghz, 64 GB RAM, AMD Radeon Pro WX3200 Display Adapter.
NextPVR seems to have forgotten all the channels scanned and saved into the database, I've attempted several rescans, all to no avail,
I've uninstalled and re-installed the driver several times, (a rather complicated procedure, which involves uninstalling and re-installing
a rather large software suite, (when all I want is the latest driver for my device), and I'm at a total loss what to do next.
I'm pretty sure that there's a problem either with the Hauppauge Tuner Card, or the driver is incorrect. I've been having a lot of difficulty finding
the latest correct driver.
I'm attaching my latest log files, and I would appreciate it if someone could have a look at them and maybe offer some suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards to all,
Christopher Souter

I'm using NextPVR as a backend, with Emby and the EMby plugin for NextPVR.
I'm on Version: 5.2.7.220410 of NextPVR, on Windows 10, as I'm not sure that the Emby plugin has support for version 6.x.
I have "series recording" enabled for a couple of daily news broadcasts, and I just noticed that this stopped recording a couple of days ago. This happened just when the "Episode" for the news program(s) passed 1000.
I noticed that NextPVR seems to "truncate" the episode number to three digits so that episode 1001 becomes episode 100. Since Emby gets EPG data from the NextPVR plugin, it gets the wrong episode numbers and thinks it has already recorded the upcoming episodes. Or rather, it will schedule for recording every 10th episode above 1000 as E1001 becomes E100 in Nextpver and remains at that until E1010 becomes E101, then it stays at that until E1021 becomes E102, and so on.
Please see the attached screenshot of EPisode S01 E1006 of a news broadcast, and notice how this is truncated to S01E100. Here is the entry in my XMLTV source for this exact episode:
Code:
<programme start="20221007020000" stop="20221007030000" channel="CNA">
<title lang="en">Asia Tonight</title>
<sub-title>Episode S1 E1006</sub-title>
<desc lang="en">CNA correspondents bring you the top stories of the day with 'live' reports and interviews to keep you up-to-date on the day's events.</desc>

<episode-num system="onscreen">S1 E1006</episode-num>
</programme>
I was able to work around this issue by deleting all guide data from NextPVR itself and adding the same XMLTV guide to Emby, so that Emby gets its EPG directly rather than through the NextPVR plugin. This seems to work, and the episode numbers are now correct also when E is above 1000. This of course means that I have no EPG in NextPVR, but I can live with that as I mainly watch TV through the various Emby clients.
Is this a known issue, and is there a solution to this?
Granted, a series with episodes above 1000 might be rare, but I actually have more than one such case in my XMLTV source (grabbed with WenGrab+ from the broadcaster's online guide). There is nothing in the XMLTV
And, maybe this is a long shot, but does anyone happen to know if the NextPVR plugin in Emby will work with Nextpver Version 6.x?
(I was thinking this might have been fixed in a version later than what I'm currently on)
New user here. I setup a docker container running version 6.0.0.220904. I have a HDHomeRun Prime at 172.0.0.50 and when I try to scan for devices, I get this in the console output
Code:

}

When I check the results from discover.json, It is indeed missing a ipString field
Is this an issue with the firmware I'm running? I believe it's the latest firmware available for my device. Is there a workaround I could use to give it a try?
I would like to use ParallelProcessing.bat to ssh into another machine on my local network and run a script, but the script I want it to run would be based off the channel it is recording and the device it is recording off. Can anyone tell me how I could do this if it is even possible?
Everything was fine on v5, after upgrading to v6 NextPVRServer.exe prevents the computer for going to sleep. NextPVR isn't recording at the time or doing an EPG update, but it still keeps the computer awake. A reboot fixes it for a short time. Tuners are not primed, I toggled it to make sure it's off. powercfg output is below and logs are attached. Anything obvious I should check? Thanks.
I use NextPVR on a windows laptop with dual Hauppauge tuner. When I stream a channel it plays fine over my network both in a browser and via Kodi. But if I record the same channel, when I try to play back directly or download first, the quality is bad. The picture and sound breakup badly as if I have a poor aerial signal. So why is streaming ok but recordings terrible?

Hi,
Very new to all things linux but having fun mucking around with Mint. Since installing nextpvr ver 6 and getting a Hauppauge dual tuner working I have the same problem as the EPG only finds the first, in my case all the ABC channels, then exits skipping - "EPG Update complete. [2803 inserted, 0 updated, 13463 skipped]". It then, well not every time, requires a server restart if it notifies "No tuner was available for the requested channel."
After coming here and finding this fix I grabbed and replaced the mentioned file but it didn't make any difference.
Using 2 tuners seems very hit and miss with I think only once was I able to get both tuners recording at the same time.
Any help appreciated. Attaching logs as they seem to be always required.
