Is there something special you need to do within your code to get plugins working on MVP?

The Weather2 plugin doesn't seem to work on them. I don't have one to test, and I don't know why it wouldn't work on it.

i just noticed that ParallelProcessing.bat doesn't work properly with multi-record for ATSC. only one recording & channel is passed to ParallelProcessing.bat in its parameters %1, %2. i tried looking at the next %x parameters but they are empty. is this by design/limitation or am i doing something wrong? :confused:

Scenario: After adding either weather plugins (which both worked no problem) my Live TV settings disappeared.

I am using the SoftWareRecorder plugin to enable my unsupported TV card.

The set up is in a folder called legacy under plugin folder as instructed.

Adding another plugin adds another plugin folder to the sub under plugins (which it is supposed to do with .msi installer.)

Observation... when I delete the other addin folder... leaving only my legacy folder under plugins... my Live TV returns? WTH!

I do not know if this would happen if I added other plugins I have only tried to add the two weather plugins same result with either.

Is there anyway I can retain my live TV and add other plugins?

I got tired of not being able to watch Netflix movies using my remote control (on Windows XP), so I developed a program that allows you to watch them and search by actor, director, or keyword. The program info and keyboard shortcuts are listed below:

You will need the following remote codes to work with this:

Arrows (up, down, left)

Page up, down (for scrolling through movie list)

Num Pad – The forms accept SMS texting (e.g Num2 x 1 = “a”, num2 x
2 =”b”) This is so you can jump to a specific
movie/actor/director, or type in a search word/phrase. 0 =
Space key. Left arrow = backspace.

Space – Toggles play during movie watch (native to Netflix). This button also will start movie play while in the main screen (see enter button below).

F7 – Full screen during movie play (this took a TON of programming, but I got it to work).

F10 - Use this while watching a movie to bring up an information screen. (Must exit full screen mode first Alt-F4). F10 again will close the info screen and return you to full screen mode.

Shift-Tab - Used to skip backward episodes while watching multi-episode shows in movie watcher screen. Cannot be in full screen viewer when using this. Also used on other screens to navigate backward through tab fields.

Tab - Used to skip foward episodes while watching multi-episode shows in the movie watcher screen. Cannot be in full screen viewer when using this. Also used on other screens to navigate forward through fields.

Enter – Hit enter on any movie in the list and it will open in a viewer and should automatically go to full screen. Also, every form should respond to this to move around the screen (if not let me know)

Escape - will close any screen and take you back to the main menu. This key will also return you to the starting menu after a search is performed, this is the genre chosen on the options screen (ctrl-O).

Ctrl-[Left Arrow] - Use to rewind a movie, native to Netflix. Cannot be in full screen mode to do this.

Ctrl-[Right Arrow] - Use to fast forward a movie, native to Netflix. Cannot be in full screen mode to do this.

Ctrl-O – takes you to the options menu, this is where you can choose a
different genre to display on the main screen.

Ctrl-S – Search screen, you can search by actor, director, or word/phrase.

Actor and Director (sort by first name), à Actor/Director and a specific
genre, or all genres (if only 1 genre is found it automatically loads to the
movie screen.) You can also, narrow the search by typing in a key word
like “Arnold”.



Word/Phrase – This will search the movie names and the synopsis
paragraph for your word/phrase.

Ctrl-R – Red Remote Button deletes movie from My Queue
Ctrl-G – Green Button adds a movie to your “My Queue”

A separate program has been included which will manage the database, you can call the file "Netflix TX Database Build.exe" from your update EPG.bat file and it will update the database at night.

Installation:

Copy all files to any directory. The program will need about 60 minutes to run the initial database load, but subsequent loads (default every 30 days) take about 6 minutes. It loads yout Queue each time you log into the program (~20 sec).

Just keep in mind that by doing this, the thumbnails will be downloaded as needed instead of all at once.

VERY IMPORTANT: You must log into Netflix and click remember me. A cookie must be present for this program to access your Queue and everything (needs to be in IE). I haven’t figured out how to auto login yet, still working on it.

I am a new user to GBPVR. I have used it to watch HD on my computer and I liked it so much I picked up a Hauppauge HVR 2250 to watch live tv. I have it hooked up to my Comcast Cable directly.I downloaded an EPG that seems to contain the entire list of Comcast channels if I were to have a cable box hooked up. When I hit the "Map Digital CHannels to EPG" it finds over 100 channels, a lot of them unknowns.

Do I have to go through the entire list of found channels and try to map them against the EPG? Is there any way I can just do a "blind scan" and save all of those channels, and delete the garbage ones as necessary? I can live without an EPG. Going through the entire list and trying to match the channels up seems like an impossible task. I have read the Wiki and FAQ but am still coming up short. I tried using Tuning Assistant, but it too finds a ton of channels, and I have to click Ok after every channel found. When I use the WinTV app that came with the card, it scans all the channels, and lets me flip through them without an issue. That is what I would like to be able to do with GBPVR...

It is posible to import channel list to GVPVR ? par example a dreambox or the other ,dvbviewer format ?
Is GBPVR using cccam ??

I've been trying to get IR Server working for several weeks. I've managed to get IR Server Suite to learn the remote for my STB in Translator, but when I try to change channels from GBPVR, nothing happens. I believe that I've followed these instructions, but clearly I've missed something.

After a remote is learned, how does Translator know which button is supposed to represent that command. There are number commands on there, but don't I want them to retain their current functions as well?

I'm having an issue running my EPG update.bat in W7. In scheduled tasks, it shows that it has successfully run. While working on the computer, I've even seen the DOS box come up & have seen the update run automatically. However, when all is done, the output xml is not updated at all. If I manually start the update.bat form within my windows folder, it will run and output the xml file as it should.

Very interesting problem if anyone has any thoughts.

I have been working on this issue for a bit today, it appears that when you create the GBPVR\media\MenuArt\Music Library or GBPVR\media\MenuArt\Video Library

and add an image they never load when you access the Music Library or Video Library.

If I create the GBPVR\media\MenuArt\Default and add the same images PVRX2 immediately starts displaying the images everywhere.

I even set the <MenuArtUpdateSeconds> to 1 second and retried just the Video Library and Music Library folders, however, after waiting more than the default 25 seconds or the changed 1 second I still do not see the image change to the one that is loaded in the directory.

Nothing in the PVRX2 or PVRX2-native logs about loading/not loading the images.

Am I misunderstanding how this should work?
I expected that when I am in the Plugin it should be switching at the rate defined in config.xml. Is that not the correct expectation?

I do find that if I hover, use arrow keys to make the plugin be highlighted, and wait I do see the images from that folder get swapped at the expected rate, however, this works irregularly.

Shouldn't the background be changing while I am in the plugin? Also, shouldn't the timer reset when you enter the Plugin so that it immediately selects a background from that Plugin's directory?

Not a big issue , just not sure that this is working as expected.
