I am trying to upgrade, and I keep getting errors entering config it promts the attached image, it lets me into config but i cant "ok" any changes, it pops up another error in attached text file. I noticed while in config my plugins dont appear anymore. I installed the vcredist_x86.exe (zip) attached to the 1.4.7 announcement page, still no luck.

is there a way to display the Subtitle in video library metadata display?
i mean we get Genre but not Subtitle?
i would think subtitle way more important/useful than genre...
i tried @subtitle @sub_title @stitle etc but nada...

Sub, just tested the new version and it doesn´t appears to send sat positions to MDAPI filter by default.

Is thera a place that I can edit to manually "show" the parameter to GBPVR? Just like the first idea you had on the topic http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=57?

NMTInstall's support file is now updated, and you can do an upgrade using a recent NMTInstall. However note that a new vcredist_x86.zip file is required and you must delete this file from your mvpmc folder so that it is re-downloaded, I never expected this file would change.

The key changes for the PCH are obviously that this includes all the previously released patches but there are a couple of others.

1) If you want to enable an Exit option on the main menu the option is set with <MVPShowExitOnNMT>true</MVPShowExitOnNMT> It is also available on the System menu.

2) Audio Playing. All non-mp3 file will now be converted to pcm on the fly.
Some formats might require a newer version of ffmpeg to work properly.

I've put the gbpvr.db3 back in and run config, it comes up and tells me to reboot and run config again, but the captures sources seem to be empty.

I just need a card with video/audio input (composite), no need for tuner.
What's out there that is good enough and not expensive.
Only need to put a satellite source in it, so i can watch/record it on my PC in other room.

My Hauppauge PVR500 (2 tuners) gives me some noise picture when watching from external source (satellite via composite).

Any suggestion?

And of course it must work with GB-PVR and Win 7.

I recently updated to the ATI TV Wonder™ HD 650 COMBO USB for PC due to issues with my Hauppauge 1600 card. I am now able to tune all expected channels, but I get some jerkiness, more noticeable on HD channels. I have seen this described as "micro jerkiness" in other posts, which accurately describes my problem.

I have tried codecs from Cyberlink, ATI, Nvidia, and several others (Intervideo, maybe?). Tried with both VMR9, EVR, and Overlay with no success, though some combos are better than others.

I have also turned off via bios all unused devices (serial, parallel, integrated ethernet) and unplugged all other USB devices.

Specs:
Dual core pentium 3ghz (or close)
Nvidia 5600 256gb agp card
500gb SATA
2gigs ram.

VERY IMPORTANT. This version of GB-PVR uses a newer Microsoft runtime that previous versions of GB-PVR, so you absolutely need to install the new http://www.gbpvr.com/vcredist_x86.zip. New users and users upgrading from earlier releases with need to install this.

If you're upgrading from a previous release, I recommend you backup your gbpvr.db3 and config.xml files just in case anything goes wrong. Post any problem reports in the Support forum.


For new users, I'd recommend reviewing the guides here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post346467. These will help you through the process of getting GB-PVR up and running.

If upgrading from an earlier version, its recommended you backup your existing gbpvr.db3 and config.xml files, and store them away in a safe place in case of any problems during the upgarde. These files would be needed if you want to go back to the previous version. For those upgrading, I'd also recommend stopping all GB-PVR software (tray app, recording service etc) prior to starting the upgrade.

There is not a lot of visual differences in this new version of the application, but there is a lot behind the scene stuff that'll be useful to a lot of people (for example, CI support, Windows 7 compatibility, scanning improvements etc).

- setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\devnz\TSMuxBlockEncrypted=1 (DWORD) will cause the TS Mux to discard encrypted packets rather than writing them to the file being recorded.

I've and Whuston have created three setup guides for GBPVR. These documents are for new users to GBPVR.

These are notes on installing/using Weather2 V1.0.0.0:

1. Installer does not stop recording service, please do so manually before installing.

2. Local radar and Local satellite maps are actually State maps. Next revision will correct this.

3. If you had the original Weather plugin installed, it would be wise to uninstall it and make sure the GBPVR/media/WeatherIcons folder is empty before installing. Weather2 uses a different icon map, and the different icon filenames may give you the wrong icon!

4. MVPs are not working at the moment.
