I've been using GB-PVR for more than 4 years on & off, in January I finally built a dedicated HTPC, it's been running almost flawlessly for months. This week I read that Prime TV was now available on Freeview, great, no more analogue TV for me. However, when I tried to Map digital channels to EPG channels, I get this error...
"GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use"
I've tried a number of things, Re-register Filters, Re-register quartz.dll, Re-install GB-PVR (repair mode), Deleted Cache files form the BDA folder, removed and re-installed Hauppauge drivers, installed Windows update Vista SP2, and a few other things I can't remember, but I've run out of ideas, can anyone help please?
I wonder if someone can shed light on this, it has been bugging me for ages but have put up with it until now!
I am using XML as an EPG source but one particular programme gets listed twice with a different time on it, this is a pain as it is one I record. It shows up with a start time before it really starts and only shows as 60 minutes long. Immediately after that is the 2nd listing for the programme with the correct start time and length of 65 minutes. The data in the EPG .xml appears correct and it is not listed twice in that
Attached listing as it is in .xml and screenshots of the problem.

Looks interesting. According to the Sun's story"Cameron has been waiting to finish the flick since the 90s, but had to wait for the necessary technology to create his project".
Okay, I'm delighted to have everything working properly now. However, I have one remaining question. How do I tell GBPVR what quality profile I want to use for a particular recording? I see that the profiles themselves are set up in the configuration utility, but I can't find a place to say "Use THIS one for this recording." Can somebody help me please. (I know I'm going to feel like an idiot once this is answered, because it was staring me in the face all along, but I'll live with that. It won't be the first time.)

Hey Sub,
I mentioned this is a forum post and was encouraged to add it here as a wishlist item. I have been using Video Archive for the last few years until I just upgraded to 1.3.11 and have not been able to get it to work, and Jeff is nowhere to be found. Now that I am back to using the Recordings screen, I've discovered that VA had a couple of really nice features that I think could benefit Recordings. So, here we go....
1. Add the ability to press a letter key on the MVP remote and have it jump to that point in the recordings listing. For example, press the 'P' key and have it go straight to the first recording starting with a P. This would save have to press the PageDown countless times in order to get there, especially if you have tons of recordings as I do.
2. Add the ability to choose a sort order for the what's new list. Currently it's sorted by recording date, but being able to sort by show name would be nice to. Again, it just makes it easier to find the show your trying to watch!
3. Lastly, it would be really cool to be able to group recordings into a folder. VA did this automatically of you simply dragged and dropped the video file into a folder named "Christmas" or Cartoons for example. Then when you view the recordings listing, you would see a Christmas listing that when you clicked on it, you would see all of the videos that you had dropped into the physical folder. Just a really simple way of organizing your videos for easy location later.
Well there you have it. I think a lot of folks could really benefit from these changes. If you like the sound of them, please consider including them in the next release.
All my torrents go to one folder called (imaginitively) 'torrents'. I'd like to highlight a finished torrent in gbpvr and have a 'copy to...' option with a few user defined folders such as music, movies, tv series etc. so I can use the file in gbpvr with out having to any manual copy and pasting. Any chance?
