Posted by: gh_speedyg - 2009-08-22, 04:53 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (4)

Having problems with my guide so I thaught I'd finally try this prog and see if it would help me out. Already stuck. How do I load my guide from SD?

  All recordings gone missing
Posted by: lostrecs - 2009-08-22, 04:05 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I accidentally moved the directory (using windows explorer) containing the recordings. I have moved it back but gbpvr still doesn't "see" them. How can I get them back in gbpvr. Thanks.

Channel not in the right place
Posted by: gh_speedyg - 2009-08-22, 01:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

So Rogers recently changed there channel lineup so I have had to re-do my SD account. I Deleted my recording profile and started from scratch (to make everything easier). But when I reload everything into GBPVR at least 1 channel is in the wrong place. Channel 303 HBO2 is not showing up in the 300's. It is however showing up at the bottom of my guide (right near the end). I have checked in my setup and it is labeled 303 and comes right between 302 and 304 on my channel list, but not in the guide. help?

EDIT: Just double checked, there are 6 channels added to the bottom of the guide and not in there correct order.

  Frame rate & Video lag
Posted by: antsnest - 2009-08-22, 12:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Having sorted out the main problems last night (Thanks) I'm just left with 2 lesser problems I'd like to get to the bottom of. I've actually had these for some time but I assumed they were because my Windows installation needed redoing.

Now with a new XP installation from scratch I'm still getting what appears to be a very slow frame rate. It normally starts OK for maybe half a mninute then appears to drop to 10 or 15 fps (at least that's how I interpret the jumpy picture), it's watchabl;e but annoying.

I'm also getting lag on picture, the picture can end up 5 - 10 seconds behind the sound, switching chanells resets it.

I can live with both but it does occasionally get on the nerves :-)

Thanks

Tim

Mac Mini as a client (running XP)
Posted by: tonyimp - 2009-08-22, 07:33 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (3)

So my local Microcenter had a deal on the previous generation Mac Mini (Intel Core 2 Duo, but no on board hdmi).
Still - for 350 bucks, I got a $100 OS, and a great little MVP at worst.

Anyway - my primary goal is to use this thing to run GBPVR in my spartan living room. My TV is only 720P, so I don't need to push 1080 for another few years. By then we will be driving to work in flying electric cars.

Anyway - I am giving it a shot. Any advice out there? I will update this with results.

Tony

  Phantom Conflicts
Posted by: meccano - 2009-08-22, 05:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

We have 3 shows in recurring that do not overlap however they
are reported as phantom conflicts. The shows record fine but how can
the phantom conflict messages be removed?

  Overrunning Programs
Posted by: hansol123 - 2009-08-22, 05:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I set GBPVR to record the Tudors on BBC1 for my wife last night as for some strange reason she wanted to keep it.

Sods law it started 13 minutes late because of the athletics but our Sky box detected the change of time and recorded the programme.

Is there any way that GBPVR can detect time changes for programs set using the Radio Times and XMLTV.

I presume the BBC sends out a signal that is detected by the Sky HD box or perhaps the EPG is updated.

Thanks for your help.

  Channel Logos for NZ
Posted by: Jaggy - 2009-08-22, 02:45 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (4)

I was mucking around today making some channel logos for the TV guide for the SBS channels that we are getting at the moment off satellite & thought maybe some other NZ users may find them useful so I zipped up all my current channel logos & have attached them to this message. Make sure they have the same name as your channel name ie. if you have a channel called "Maori TV" rename the logo "Maori Television.jpg" to "Maori TV.jpg".

Change retention settings for recurring recordings
Posted by: oracle32 - 2009-08-22, 12:43 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

IT would be nice if there was a way to change the retention settings of recurring recordings without having to delete/re-make the record event. I find that when i go away i have the need to save more shows so i don't miss something.

The ability to be able to do this through the web interface would be the best.

  Serial/USB Port command on event
Posted by: oracle32 - 2009-08-22, 12:40 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I have several devices (TV, Reciever, LCD display) that have serial connectivity and can accept commands from a PC. I was wondering if it would be possible to have GBPVR send commands out of the serial port on program events (i.e. volume up/down, recording start/stop, channel change, transcoding start).
