  GBPVR Client cannot display picture
Posted by: chrishiscox - 2009-08-13, 02:34 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Excellent software, running like a dream on the server.
Now I want to try and use the streaming to a XP laptop.

All loaded correctly, using ffdshow, and when I view live TV I get the OSD of program, then back to he menu. Have tried everything.
The logs are attached, and show the Directshow stopping for some reason.
Can anyone suggest my next step to make this work?

Thanks,
Chris

  Sweet set top PC from Lenovo!

Quote:On the front you'll find a four-in-one media card reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro), four USB 2.0 ports, plus microphone and headphone jacks.

One the back: eSATA and HDMI connections (nice!), VGA, four further USB 2.0 ports, and a variety of audio connections, including S/PDIF-out. Wi-Fi and Ethernet are standard; options include a built-in TV tuner, and various flavors of Windows Vista.

  MVP wont play H264 mp4
Posted by: Rory - 2009-08-13, 10:28 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

Hi
I can get PVRx2 and media player to play an H264 mp4 file but MVP wont play it. I would welcome any advice on how to get it to play.
I am still running v1.2.13 and dont especially want the pain of upgrading as I have the system nicely tweaked.
My only tweak of GBPVR is that I edited the config.xml thus:

Quote:<MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLinePAL>-y -i "{SOURCE_FILE}" -b 2400k -ac 2 -ab 128 -r 25 -s 704x576 -f svcd "{DEST_FILE}"</MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLinePAL>
<MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLineNTSC>-y -i "{SOURCE_FILE}" -b 2400k -ac 2 -ab 128 -r 29.97 -s 704x480 -f svcd "{DEST_FILE}"</MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLineNTSC>
I tried changing it back to the default 352 x 288 but made no difference.
I read a post about allowing ffdshow to feed PVRX2.exe, I assume that was in the ffdshow Directshow Control configuration dialog and added PVRX2 to the list.
I have tried different flavours of video renderer..(Overlay Manager and VMR9 Custom)
No Dice
Here is graphedits graph:

and I have attached the logs

I have an Avermedia M779 PCIe DVB-T tuner card.
I only can see it when I choose the digital option in config. But since I don't have digital tv no channels vissible ofcourse, I want to select the analog tv channels from my cable.

I use the same card with WMC where it is possible to see all the channels on the cable.

  Any way to get gbpvr to send the channel request twice.
Posted by: tomekz - 2009-08-13, 07:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Is there a way to have the GBPVR software sent the channel changing command twice. I am using the pvr150 with their blaster.

Example,

when a recording kicks in, it changes the channel to lets say 149......

Can I configure gbpvr to send this channel change twice..... with a small delay in between..

thanks for any info.

  Multiple Lineups Schedules Direct
Posted by: stangdaman - 2009-08-13, 02:53 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I recently moved and have just barely gotten my attenna and HTPC set back up. I did a scan today with the HD Homerun and it's picking up like 29 stations. Initially when I made the change I just added my local zip to schedules direct but it looks like I'm picking up extra stations from another zip code.

I found out it is the Raleigh/Durham stations that I'm picking up and added their zip to my schedules direct account then edited it for the stations that I'm picking up. Now I'm trying to get GBPVR to add those channels to my lineup but when I update the epg it just does my local zip. I removed the lineup code so it should be pulling all the stations from my schedules direct account and have tried removing the channels and starting over but every time it reloads it just does my local stations. Is there something I'm missing?

  WizMetadataGrabber: Request Ability to Change Show And/Or Episode delimeters
Posted by: NeoH4x0r - 2009-08-12, 10:54 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (1)

Using a '|' for show/episode delimieter would seem to work fine; however, using a '-' for as a delimieter gives several false-positives when the title and/or episode names have '-' in the them.

e.g. K-9, etc (this is the movie K9 IMDB Link).

I have two candidate recommendations:

  1. Change the '-' delimiter to one like '|' (e.g. '#' or '$')
  2. Or Add the ability for the user to define custom replacment delimeters
    (this would seem to be the best, as a user could
    custom-tailor it to his/her setup [and use the proper delimeters with
    WizRenameRecording])

  Video Library Documentation
Posted by: aapezzuto - 2009-08-12, 10:25 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I am setting up a HTPC for my twin girls, so that as soon as they are old enough they can have access to all the programming I have approved for them.

This has led me to a lot of video converting, now I am trying to organize it. I have not been able to find any documentation for how to set up files so that the video library can view them. I have managed to find a little information that I will list below, if you have more to add, please post it... if you also need this information, comment about that also!

What I rely want is a way to play a video play list(several videos in a row), how to link videos in a sub folder as if they were in the same folder, and how to make the browser start in a specific folder. Thanks!

  • placing an image file with the same name as a video file in the same folder will cause that image to be displayed when you highlight the video in the browser
  • placing an xml file with the same name as a video will read data from the xml file (Have not been able to find the syntax for the file)

  Updated BDA scan files
Posted by: MixMan - 2009-08-12, 06:30 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (1)

I have gone through all DVB-T, DVB-C and renamed files, update muxes in some files.
Added new DBV-T and DVB-C files. Updated DVB-S scan files from Joshys Fun site.
I renamed the files from numbers to plain text, so it will be easier to update the files when new muxes are added.
For DVB-S the numbers are still used, but you can see what number is used for the transponders.

Take a look a my dev wiki, you can view the current file names there.
http://www.hyperlinkx.com/pmwiki/pmwiki....hannelScan

Note, removing your current BDA files and replacing them these new, might require a new channel scan. (but I'm not sure)

If you have information about your countries DVB-T network or your DVB-C network I can make or update scan files for you.

  Newb. Please please help me !
Posted by: Zomb1 - 2009-08-12, 02:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Hello everyone. Sorry to start off asking for help, but I'm so stressed out I'm starting to shake and want to smash things up. Here is the situ.

I brought an Alienware refurb, it was really cheap. Literally peanuts, and specced well too. Before I got it I was using a borrowed version of XPMCE because I had legally paid for XP and didn't fancy paying out £100 or whatever for the media center.

So. When I got the Alienware it came with Vista home basic but I didn't want to use a borrowed copy any more and wanted to return to using a legal OS.

Now. That's not been a problem for many months because I have a TV in my room. Unfortunately it's a 27" tank.

I use a 22" LCD as my gaming monitor and my PC is very well specced for gaming. However, I do have a Belinea 15" LCD and now have that plugged in too, so dearly want to be able to drag a media center over and use my Pinnacle 72E so I can finally rid this tonweight TV.

So, being that I am completely new and this, and, have just spent over an hour trying to find out how to set things up I must be missing something or fail to understand Sad

I have searched and found out how to add the 72E to the list. I added this to the correct place and file.

[Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T Stick (72e)]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="PCTV DiBcom BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0) "
FILTER_CAPTURE=PCTV DiBcom BDA Digital Capture (Dev1 Path0)
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

And, now when I go to config I can put it in as the instructions show me. However. I cannot get to any kind of tune function because when I launch TuningAssistant.exe it does not have my added device (the Pinnacle 72E) in the list. So I can't tune my card.

And, that's where I'm stumped. I have absolutely no idea what to do to make it see the stick in the tuner and tune it in so I can watch TV.

I did get to a part that asks you to select your transmitter and I know mine is in Southampton (at least I think it is, I live in West Sussex) but I really just don't have a clue what I'm doing.

Please help Sad
