Lately I have had some recording failures when recording some movies. The same movie is being shown at multiple times so what settings can I select when setting up my recording so if the recording fails then it will try to record the movie the next time it plays?
Record once does not seem to do it.
It is not a series so record all episodes does not seem to make sense.
I'm a total newbie but I just installed Ver 6.0.0.220904 and the Device Scan is not finding my tuner.
Specifics:
Linux Version: Mint 19.3 Cinnamon
Tuner: Silicon Dust HDHR3-US (2012) at FW version 20150406 (I don't think there's a newer one)
The HDHR3-US has dual tuners and it makes OTA channels available via ethernet to any PC on my LAN. I know the tuner works because I can ping it, see it in the Silicon Dust desktop app on Linux and watch live TV on it using VLC Media Player. The thing I can't do is get the above noted version of NextPVR to find it when doing a device scan.
I've searhed the Linux forum here but haven't found anything similar to my issue. I've seen folks talking about what's shown in dmesg but since the tuner isn't attached to the Linux PC physically, I'm not sure it would show up there. Of course, dmesg generates a huge output and maybe I just don't know what to look for.
So I'm attempting to upgrade from 4 to 6. Fortunately I cloned the hard drive before upgrading to 6, so it's not like I'm going to be losing anything.
So far NPVR 6 is a piece of crap. Cute interface, sure, but very unintuitive, having to constantly go back and forth between my old and new hard drives. And even there as I mimic settings between both I still can't get 6 to work properly.
I cannot locate any posts that help me to export and import all the recordings and their schedules from the previous version onto the new one. What needs to be done to make those upcoming/saved recordings/conflicts/what's new entries appear?
I'm also using a Hauppauge Colossus HD video recorder card with an IR blaster. The IR blaster works no problem on 4, but 6? Nope. I was able to download all the channels through Schedules Direct but I can't get NPVR to activate the blaster to change the channels.
This app has historically been pretty annoying. I miss the days of the old Snapstream BeyondTV.
Wondering if someone can help with this problem. I'm using Matt Huismann's IPTV playlists to play and record Australian TV and they all work well except for the 10 network channels: 10, 10 Peach and 10 Bold, though 10 Shake works fine. The problem streams hang and will not load with the logs showing errors like: "System.ArgumentException: Specified key is not a valid size for this algorithm. (Parameter 'rgbKey') ..."
Occassionally they will load, though, but usually only play ads, or part ads, before failing. It looks like 10 is blocking access to NextPVR. The lists play without issue in Kodi and other players I've tried like Tvirl and Tivimate on Android TV, and MyIPTV Player on Windows.
Perhaps someone can suggest settings changes, or even another playlist to get them working?
I believe you should install i965-va-driver-shaders in the docker container instead of i965-va-driver. It is a non-free Debian package but is fully MIT licensed. The issue with its Debian freeness is that it ships blobs without sources (any of the shaders) that are thus removed in the Debian free i965-va-driver.
Jellyfin ended up rebuilding the intel-vaapi-driver and shipping it in their docker image in https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-ffmpeg/pull/33, but I do not see the point as i965-va-driver-shaders is the intel-vaapi-driver code (the Debian free version is the same but with blobs stripped)

Sorry to be unclear, but I am not sure what is wrong.
I use zap2it to get the TV program OTA listings, with zap2xml. The little batch program has worked fine for a year or so, and then I also do the desktop NPVR app and tell it to update listings also. Works great, although I haven't recorded for months due to a motherboard issue from a 10 year old machine.
But a day or so ago, suddenly, NPVR TV Guide shows "(no show details)" for all. I didn't grab the exact time when the info stopped. But now all TV Guide info on NPVR is just no show details.
I'm clueless. When I run the batch file to get the program data from zap2it, it seems to run normally, getting the data from Zap2it. And so does NPVR's desktop app when I say Update. I logged in to "my account" at zap2it and it seemed to be OK.
But the TV Guide view then shows " no show details."
I've no idea what has suddenly changed . . .

Recently all my recordings from my ATSC tuners didn't record. Live tv was working but I tried to rescan for channels and nothing happens. I've deleted all the channels and tried to rescan and still nothing happens. I've done nothing at all NPVR for the last year or so but update when updates are out.

I'm trying to troubleshoot and eliminate possibilities.
I use an IPTV service using an m3u8 playlist. The setup is right and it "works" fine. However, the IPTV streams drops randomly. It could be 2, 5, 29 minutes into a program and it cuts off. Then as I try to select the channel again it says there is a failure. Skin doesn't matter but I am using the Embuary skin for Kodi 19. Next PVR runs on a mini PC and I use raspberry Pi's to connect to the server. Anything relevant would be helpful.
