Playback on PCH is fine, but if I attempt to play them back on the PC, PVRX2 crashes. I can play the files back fine in VLC, TotalTheater, WMP & WMP Classic.
PVRX2 has no trouble playing back other recording types (MPG2 & H.264 transport streams). I tried "re-register filters", but it didn't help.
I see this in PVRX2.exe.log:

I decided to change my dir names so that I can clear the movies from the database and add some.
My problem - I can import xml of movies not recorded by pvrx2 but cannot import any from the current temp recording dir.
So I deleted my db3 file hoping to start fresh and still same error.
error - : "no recordings were imported. the recordings either already existed, or the video files are no longer in their original locations."
Where is the file pvrx2 is checking against?
I added a one to the directory and started pvrx2 which removed all the entries and I removed the one from the dir and tried to import a fresh xml file.
I deleted the recordings log and still same... hmm
as noted I can import my d:\movies fine but my d:\temp gets that error and its filled with movies
EDIT - d:\ movies was never imported to pvrx2 before so that is why it worked.
I have been playing around with the mayhem skin and like the recordings menu with the big posters and I was wondering if there is a way to make pvrx2 trigger your WizMetadataGrabber to scan the new file after a new recording?
I have some major worries one is that pvrx2 auto converts every file I record to avi and deletes the original so I am worried that adding a processing.bat file will stop auto conversions?
Also I am hoping to trigger the metagrabber after each conversion.
I have tried making a bat file to see if I can get something and I get snagged I guess at the /:f:%1
I don't think it is possible with my setup

I am trying to get pictures ind metadata of new recordings into the pvr asap and I thought maybe run an hourly task but I think the grabber will regrab every old file heh

I can only get sound when trying to get TV Central tuning in digitally. Why is that? I can get the channel on my old VHF TV. Why would Freeview broadcast the sound but no picture? Looks like I will have to get the signal via the analogue signal.
Can onyone please give me the analogue channel number for TV Central broadcast from Te Aroha?:confused:

MEDIAMVP cannot find the GBPVR Server. If I connect a laptop ROUTER 2 I can connect to the internet (it goes through Router 1). You think its a firewall issue and router 1 is blocking Router 2? Or can the router1/router2 be configured differently.
I wanted to start a thread to ask SUB to review this and consider trying making improvements of the DVD playback. The most complicated thing is that it allows you to select a codec and that's when problem starts.
For now I haven't been able to succesfully play DVD 100%. Sometimes it plays ok, other time it plays only audio.
As an example I reformat my XP box and currently using Gabest and PVD9 codec. I will proceed to put the logs soon, but one thing is that in comparison I used Media player Home cinema and that apps is opensource and plays the DVD without a problem when GBPVR has any trouble playing one.
I would like to be able to view all available movies from the TV guide in a list then be able to choose if I want to record them or not. It would be even nicer if I could input only the channels I would like to see movies from and ignore all the others since many channels I have no interest in what is on them anyway. Just a thought instead of going through the guide for every day for each individual channel. Maybe a plugin already does this but Im not sure.

It doesn't have all the features of the current models like the EGreat or the A110 most importantly no DTS downmix, the price is pretty good if your prime need is GBPVR content.
I'v been botherd for a while with this problem and found that filenames with "_" (underscore) not followed by a number seems to crash vidimport/gbpvr, the filename:
"D:\GBPC\The Cosmos_ A Beginners Guide\The Cosmos_ A Beginners Guide_20090719_17301800.avi"
makes it crash and no file is imported. Can someone come up with a fix for it quickly please?

I have one .TS recording here and i cannot make it working under GB-PVR 1.3.11 (no plugins installed).
I didnt think it is codec problem, becouse i can play orher TS (h.264) without an problem (using my SAF pack).
