  Asus PHC3-100 ATSC/QAM tuner
Posted by: Hobbes - 2009-07-22, 08:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (24)

I have an Asus PHC3-100 dual tuner card that I am trying to get working with GBPVR. From reading previous posts I was able to get the Analog tuner working but have not had luck with the ATSC/QAM tuner. Using the software supplied with the card I can tune both ATSC and QAM channels but would like to use GBPVR instead. I added the following to bda.ini but scans for OTA channels do not find any. Any help will be appreciated. I also attached FilterCheck.log, config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log. I can attach any other log files that may be helpful.

thanks,

Hobbes

Added to bda.ini

Code:

  fix recordings listings
Posted by: twinfrey - 2009-07-22, 07:07 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I recently updated my computer and lost all of the recordings listings. I can't see anything there. Is there a way to restore the info?

  NMT Server Specs?
Posted by: leaded1 - 2009-07-22, 06:54 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (3)

I've been considering uprgading to a NMT and have a quick question about NMT MVPMCx2 and PCH2 mode. I run a pretty archaic setup for my recording/server needs. It drives an MVP pretty well, but I'm wondering if it will be up to the task with a NMT. Does the NMT interface for GBPVR need more processing power than the MVP?

Thanks,
Leaded

  Asus Combo-210 tuner card
Posted by: kcjeeves - 2009-07-22, 03:31 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

Anyone know if the Asus combo 210 tuner card will work with GBPVR? I searched but couldn't find anything.

Also, these Hauppauge usb stick tuners, are those software based or hardware based encoders?

Tks,

KC

  GBPVR not channel changing STB
Posted by: Gerald - 2009-07-22, 03:22 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

GBPVR does not send channel changes to HIP. I have configured GBPVR for .exe plugin and configured HIP. From HIP the IR blaster works fine, but no commands seem to come from GBPVR.

If there is an easier way to configure an MCE remote to work in GBPVR to conrol my STB I would appreciate pointers then.

Thanks in advance ...

  No TV
Posted by: recoil - 2009-07-22, 02:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I know I have another thread going, but this is a different fault.

I have scanned a few stations, in config.

I open GBPVR, go to TV Guide, I can see those stations, but when I try to watch one of them all I get is a black screen.

  Receiving Astra Satellite Channels
Posted by: NoSatellite - 2009-07-22, 08:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Can someone tell me why I am unable to capture any TV channels from my satellite dish? I am trying to scan Astra 2D channels.
If I connect the same LNB to my sky set top box or use VideoMate S350 2.5 software on my PC, I can receive all the channels.
I am using the VideoMate S350 DVB-S PCI Tuner card.
If I eventually manage to scan the satellite channels will the EPG work OK.
I already use GB-PVR for UK digital free view via an aerial and it is superb which is why I want to extend its use to satellite.

  Thumbnails in "Picture Gallery" ??
Posted by: softfoot - 2009-07-22, 08:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I love the fact that I can setup a picture gallery under GBPVR.

I am using the "web" interface from Firefox.

Is there a way I can get it to display a matrix of thumbnails when you select a directory in the tree???

When I played with PVRX2 I seem to remember that it had the concept of a "MODE" that let you do this - but I cannot find any equivalent in the web interface and there doesnt seem to be a config option and my searches of the forums haven't really helped.

TIA
Dave

  Problems after Installing Windows Updates
Posted by: srhutch - 2009-07-22, 06:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Running XP SP3 with latest version of GBPVR. I ran windows update at the weekend which was fine but after the reebot the following problems were evident.

1. ASP.NET login had been created which mean yuo can use single/auto login.
2. PC wont go to sleep
3. Buffering from PCH and client PC's doesnt seem to be working.

So I decided to restore XP to an earlier time which rolled back fine but GBPVRtray.exe wouldnt load.

Took a copy of the GBPVR directory then uninstalled GBPVR, then couldnt reinstall due to .NET problem which I am guessing is why GBPVRTray.exe wouldnt run.

Reinstalled .NET 3.5 but made no difference.

In the end I took a copy of the DB and restored a disk image that I had taken 2 weeks ago and over wrote the DB with the latest one.

The last program I recorded is there and EPG all looks OK, is there anything else I should do.

Also what's recommended with regards to Windows Updates?

Steve
