  No Metadata on audio stream.
Posted by: Paul92 - 2022-08-23, 06:41 AM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (2)

Hi all

I have a NextPVR server running.

One of the many channels I have, is an audio stream which I am hosting.

The stream has Now Playing info, which outputs the currently playing track. This work fine when I connect to the stream via VLC, and direct via Kodi.

However when I connect to the stream via the NextPVR interface I don't see that.

I understand as NextPVR is designed for TV, obviously NextPVR is transcoding the stream, and therefore stripping that info

Is there any way to get this working?

I may need to figure out how to pipe this information from the IceCast audio server, direct to the NextPVR stream for it to work, unless someone has any other ideas.

Thanks

Why Should You Buy Shark NV360?

According to professionals, every household should buy a good vacuum cleaner. Not only does it save your time and energy, but it also brings you an ideal space for living.

However, there are many types of vacuum cleaners in the market these days; many of them are too expensive or low quality.

Fortunately, there are still a few stunning vacuum cleaners sold under 200$ or less; one of them is Shark navigator NV360.

The article below will give you its essential features to answer why you should buy the kind of shark navigator lift-away dlx vacuum cleaner.

  • Filtration

The first reason why many users are impressed with Shark NV360 is its rinsable filters, two pre-motor, and one post-motor filters.

Below the dust canister that can be removed, you can see the two pre-motor filters, including a felt filter and a foam filter. Both of the filters can be washed in cold or lukewarm water. After rinsing the filters, you should squeeze out the excess water and leave them to dry for at least 24 hours. Then, you put them back into the vacuum.

It is suggested you clean the pre-motor filters every three months or less.

Concerning the post-motor filter, a HEPA filter lies behind the grill, on the lower front of the vacuum cleaner. To remove loose debris in the filter, users can gently tap it over a dustbin before rinsing it in lukewarm or cold water. Remember to wash the dirty side down and until the water begins to run clean and clear. Similar to pre-motor filters, the post-motor filter needs time to dry before working again. However, it does not have to be cleaned quite often, about every two years or more.

More importantly, the blue shark vacuum is well-equipped with Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology, making it the best choice for someone having asthma or allergies.
  • Lift-Away Feature

Another great feature of Shark NV360 is the lift-away technology, enabling you to detach the dust canister or motor assembly from the vacuum without difficulty.

Therefore, the cleaner is quite versatile and helpful for vacuuming stairs, cleaning behind any furniture or overhead areas.

It is relatively simple to use the Lift-Away Feature. For example, by pressing the handle or wand release button, you can release the handle or wand respectively.

Besides, many customers love the excellent swivel steering, making it easy to turn and maneuver.

  • Brushroll On/Off

When using the hose, wand, tools, or lift-away features, it is crucial to make sure you have the brush roll OFF. Although the brush roll is helpful in some cases, such as cleaning bare floors or any pet hair on carpets, you would not want to use it in one space for a long time, making your floor damaged.

Fortunately, Shark NV360 has an ON/OFF power switch with three settings. Setting "I" is to turn the brush roll OFF, setting "II" is to turn it ON, and setting "0" is for turning the vacuum power OFF.

Final Words

In conclusion, above are some great features explaining why you should use Shark navigator lift away deluxe NV360. Besides, it also has other functions with additional tools and a lightweight. Hopefully, you find this article helpful for your choosing the suitable vacuum cleaner to do your housework.

Cant play more then a single stream concurrently
Posted by: xtinct101 - 2022-08-23, 03:16 AM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (16)

Hi,

I have nextpvr setup through docker on ubuntu.
Everything seems to be working fine when I play a single stream. As soon as I start another stream on another device the first stream stops(all from the same household) as soon as the second stream starts.
In "Devices" I have max-connections at 16.
Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

Thanks!

Raspberry pi and VLC streamer help
Posted by: buntay20 - 2022-08-23, 12:32 AM - Forum: Linux - Replies (1)

Hey all,

so, my current setup has a raspberry pi getting gif's from my local weather station....radar, 7 day forcast, warnings...etc, etc. how this is done is irrelevant.
I then create a html slideshow that is being fed out the HDMI port into a ASTC modulator, then that is fed into my USB tuner device.
There is a lot of overhead here and I know there has to be a way to simplify this.

I know that VLC can stream the desktop out so this would be optimal if I can create a stream the nextpvr IPTV device  or extra can work with.
My question is what settings should I be using to do this??

I have been playing around with this for a couple of days and cant seem to get it to work

Has anybody done anything like this?
settings for VLC and nextpvr would be greatly appreciated Smile

Thanks,
Buntay20

  decoders
Posted by: lemming - 2022-08-22, 10:35 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (2)

Hey

I see on the wiki that LAV is recommended as the decoders. Used to be SAF many years ago, but see has not been updated for quite a while.
Just installed the new version of NPVR on my parents HTC, and they complaining about getting stuck skipping forward and sound issues. Sounds like decoder niggles to me.. I have LAV installed, is SAF still worth a go ? Used to work fine back when I ran a HTPC..

Also, I assume the decoders not required when using the new web interface ?

  Scheduled batch Transcode?
Posted by: buntay20 - 2022-08-22, 01:10 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

Just a thought that I and or others would find handy would be a scheduled batch transcode option.

It has been observed that on the fly transcoding during recordings seriously degrades efficiency while watching other channels.
But what if there was an option to set up transcoding during off peak hours? Say nightly at 3am, weekly at 3am, or monthly at 3am...etc.

Yes there are stand alone scripts and softwares that could do this but transcoding is already a part of nextpvr.

What does everybody think?

Channels not working second time around
Posted by: buntay20 - 2022-08-21, 03:09 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

Greetings all,

I need help with 2 issues.

First of all not sure if this is a nextpvr problem or a windows problem but a few days ago my setup sulfured catastrophic failure (the PC died) so I set up a whole new computer with a fresh win10 install and everything reconfigured but now I cannot get some channels working again.
Here is the thing, I have the same python script I used in the previous setup to get a stream address which is working just fine but now the stream fails to play. First I thought it may be a version issue but it wont play in VLC either. when I check the logs in VLC it says something about security certificates. I have done some googling and have done everything I can find but nothing helps. Anybody have any ideas or has seen this before?

Second issue,
While setting up the new system I found a couple of IPTV channels I really like and require no extra scripts to play. the problem is on nextpvr they will play for about 20-30 seconds then die, but on VLC I watched for 3 hours straight. Is there any reason why nextpvr cant keep these channels alive when VLC can?

Any help with either of these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Buntay20

cannot log in or download listings with zap2xml

The zap2it website https://tvlistings.zap2it.com/ has been down since at least yesterday 8 20 2022. Anyone know of what is going on with the site? Do you know of any alternatives to download listings? I found a related site that loads https://tvlistings.gracenote.com/grid-affiliates.html?aid=gapzap But, zap2xml is not configured to download from that URL.

Saw a few mentions on the forums of this being one of the few missing v5 features. I'm aware it probably has a limited number of folks using this as a feature, but is there still any plans on implimenting this natively into v5 without the need to do SAT->IP? It would be really nice to see and I don't feel it should fully just be ruled out from v5.

TVheadend -> IPTV -> NextPVR is a nightmare since TVheadend doesn't seem to play ball with their m3u streams (usually, I get it to work once in VLC then never again. Just endlessly loads).

Then again, if this feature is being ditched completely, is their a solid guide for SAT->IP anywhere?

Cheers.
