It will be nice to have channel profiles match properly with their EPG equivalent.
I'm currently using Comcast so the first 80 channels from the EPG match correctly however for the QAM part you will have to do this manually and any other channel that is transmitted in its digital version.
Being searching for a definition or purpose of these files on the wiki and the forum.
Could you please help updating the description or usage of these files for me and for the new people coming to use GBPVR.

Before I started using GBPVR, I had a Panasonic DVD Recorder which had a feature that I could play back a recording at 1.3 x Normal Speed. It would do pitch correction so voices sounded normal; just talking faster.
I assume that this is probably exclusively a function of the CODEC but it would be very nice to have this ability again.
I use MediaMVP and Popcornhour A100 exclusively for playback of files so this might present a problem even if an appropriate codec could be found.
Is there anything that could be done to add this fast playback with pitch correction to GBPVR?
Thought I'd post this in case anyone else has similar problems.
I was getting intermittent jerkiness / "micro-stuttering" of Freeview (H.264/HE-AAC) video and audio from a Hauppauge HVR-900 DVB-T USB stick, on both Live-TV and recordings. Since playback of downloaded Freeview TS samples was completely smooth with minimal CPU, I was pretty sure that it wasn't a codec or hardware acceleration problem.
After a lot (and I mean a lot!) of tweaking, I eventually put this down to signal quality causing dropped frames, as I have a number of splitters between my antenna and the tuner, no line-of-sight to the transmitter, and the symptoms were worse with HD channels.
I was about to give up on Freeview completely when I discovered I was also getting some similar symptoms (but not so bad) from the analog tuner, so I decided to investigate a bit further.
Turns out it really *does* matter which USB port the tuner is plugged into, what other USB devices are on the same internal hub and possibly what other PCI devices are on the same IRQ.
Of my eight USB motherboard ports (on 4 internal hubs), only one gives perfect playback and only then if the second port off that hub is unused or has something very low bandwidth and usage like a mouse plugged in (not the IR receiver!)
Of the other seven ports, quality ranges from slight intermittent hiccupping to completely unwatchable with picture freezes, breakup, pixellation and the dreaded green bars, depending on which port and which other devices are plugged in.
Also got the best results with PCI latency set to 32 in BIOS. Possibly something to do with USB polling, USB / USB-PCI bridge bandwidth, PCI BUS or virtual IRQ contention? Anyway, by trial and error unplugging USB devices and swapping them around, it finally seems to work perfectly on all analog and Freeview SD and HD channels.
I've had this problem for the past few revisions of gbpvr. I thought I read somewhere it was resolved in 1.3.11 but I just upgraded and still seem to have it. When viewing a recording if I press the info button then playback stops and I'm sent back to the main screen.
I have attached logs. I tried it today at 18:41 .

Hi, sorry if this is a boring read for some but I have been reading the forums/wiki for a few weeks now and have some questions.
What I would like to do is turn my dell Pentium D 3.0 ghz dual core with 3 GB of ram into a media server running gbpvr. I have installed a hvr-1600 and another atsc capture card I removed from a new Gateway computer into the machine as I would like dual tuner capability. I dont have that working as yet but dont forsee any problems.
My problems come in here: I want to capture OTA ATSC from local stations (have antenna in attic) and then push them from Gbpvr server to several tv's in the house over cat5. I have 1 HDTV and 2 SD tv's. Can I do this ????
I would like to watch HD on the HD set but am confused about the process. I was initially thinking of getting a MediaMVP but later found out it wont do HD. So I started looking at the PCH A-110. But by the looks of it that thing costs $280 (give or take). Is that right? If so, I dont think I am going that route.. Are there any other alternatives for HD in a set top box?
So to get to the crux of it, can I record the OTA ATSC and send it to multiple tv's?? If I get a MediaMVP for my SD set can I then watch the same show, Live with pause capability on the HD set and then go in and finish watching it on the SD set???
I have tried searching the forums but there seems to be a steep learning curve with this technology due to the extensive use of acronyms..
I spend more time googling the words found in this forum than actually reading and understanding the posts here...
Has anyone had, where you record a show to the hard disk, and there is like a Narration with the recording. I taped Flashpoint, and it says, "Couple sitting at table, woman satiring at man intensly." It's like a script for the actors. Is there a way to turn this off?
I'm running 1.3.11 in a client - server setup. The server is XP Pro SP3 and the client is Vista Ultimate x64. Network is wired from server to AP and wireless G from AP to client.
Everything has been working great until yesterday. Suddenly, if I go to TV Guide on the client and schedule a quick record, PVR freezes after the quick record screen drops to the background at maybe 5% transparency. While the client is frozen, I can go to the server and see that the recording was successfully scheduled. Eventually the client un-freezes but when it refreshes the TV Guide screen, the recording is not highlighted. If I then back out to the main menu and then go back to TV Guide, the recording is highlighted.
The server works 100% including scheduling quick recordings. This seems to be a client or network issue.
The only thing that has changed is that yesterday I installed TiVo desktop 2.7 on the client and server. However, I have uninstalled it on both machines, re-booted them and even unplugged the TiVo wireless USB adapter (just in case) and the problem remains.
There are no other issues with either PC and the TiVo desktop worked great.
