I have a question to those building their own HTPC. I had the server system in my signature working, continuously on, for about 11 months and then the motherboard apparently fried. It just was found off and wouldn't turn on - my usb stuff was powered on but the computer wouldn't turn on. This was a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H. I tried a new power supply and changing the memory out but nothing...so I ordered another one, this time it was a slightly different model number, GA-MA78GM-US2H.
After reinstalling everything, putting in the newer MB drivers, everything was up and running again. It turned itself off after like 1 hour. I didn't make anything of it, but I did check temps and the temps were fine (CPU was around 45-48C).
This time it ran for at least 3-4 hours. Woke up this morning, it's off again. Tried to unplug, turn on...NOTHING. The power button blinks the light off for like .1 secs but no power. USB things are powered.
Do you think I got another bad board, or is it possible CPU or P/S or Hauppauge 1800 are frying it? This MB has an integrated ATI HD3200 running off VGA to an LCD TV 720P.
I think I'll try running the spare P/S - the current one is 300W, the spare is 350W. These are of the "mini" variety due to the smaller case size.
Any comments? Has this sort of thing happen to anyone?
I will be RMAing this tonight back to Newegg if the spare P/S doesn't power it up.
All my recoding from April 28th we all 0 bytes from 8pm to 11pm
Not sure what happend ran some test and was producing 0 byte recording, i could watch live tv fine on all channels though.
I tested each tuner separately and when doing so i was able to record and watch live tv. Then i reenable channels on both tuners at the same time and it could once again do multirecording and successfully recorded 4 channels at once for a few minutes without creating 0 byte recording
I was wondering if you could look at the logs and see if you can tell me if there was a problem on the 28th i should be aware of
I just had a motherboard go bad and i replaced it with an equivalent (not exact though). When I run taskmanager pvrx2 is running at 50% and nothing is going on (no video running or anything.) I can't be sure that it wasn't doing this before or that maybe me doing ctrl alt delete and showing the taskmanager on top of pvrx2 is doing it. However, I THINK this is new. Can some offer any suggestions?
Oh, and both processors are equally doing it so I don't think it's an affinity thing.
I don't no if this is possible or not but can your run gbpvr from a web page in windows without having the security warning coming up at you all the time because you are trying to run an exe file.
thanks
Dave
I've just updated the DvbRadio-Installer.zip on the wiki to fix some issues. It's only another bugfix release so if you have a working setup, don't bother downloading it.
Code:
2009â04â20 : v1.6.3397.36754
[LIST][*]Fixed problem with capture card drivers having a âspaceâ at the end of name.
[*]Fixed problem not saving frequency information for non-UK users.
[*]Using âAll region / All channelsâ setting for capture cards should now work.[/LIST]
fresh reinstall of vista x64 (with C++ x64) and installed the media package because its a N version (business)
2x pvr 150's
everything is the same as previous, however, i switched to 64 bit. i installed the FFDSHOW 32 bit filters and this is all.
any driver updates i have installed were through windows updates. i did notice there were pvr updates that were installed, i do not have any of the winTV software installed except for the remote software, could this be where i went wrong?
i'm having unplayable results, everything else seems to work fine, i have not tried to record at all. i don't know if driver updates will help or not? at any rate, i'm attaching my logs
Very odd. I didn't think this was possible, but Live TV is working properly on my MVP, but not on the PC. It just goes blank for two seconds and returns to the Menu.
Live TV used to work on my PC, but hasn't worked for a month or so now. I don't really use Live TV on my MVP that much, but often use it on my PC.
I was wondering if there is a support for showing ATSC closed captions or SRT subtitles in Director's Cut MVPMCX2? Also, I noticed that audio from live broadcasts is sent to the receiver in PCM while it's being broadcasted in AC3 - is there a way to enable raw sound passthrough to receiver via SPDIF?
In previous version of MVPMCX2 when MPEG TS processing was done by NMT both SRТ subtitles and AC3 passthrough were enabled.
