Any South Africans been able to get any ir blaster solution inplace to interface with the new Multichoice DSD 1110 decorder.
I have been trying the Hauppauge IR Blaster supplied with my WinTV PVR150 without any success. I have tried the default program as well as WinLIRC and few others.
I've been waiting patiently for the VISTA x64 version to be released, so I can try DVB-T radio. I installed v1.6 last night; installed the LAME 3.98.2 DirectShow Filter; set <AudioDecoderName>MONOGRAM AAC Decoder</AudioDecoderName>.
When I start the plugin it asks to scan for channels, thinks about things, but doesn't appear to find any. I have a Hauppauge Nova-T 500 dual DVB-T card. I have attached a clean set of logs and my XML file. Only thing "unusual" in my setup is I am using the TS Mux option in GB-PVR. I'm in Christchurch, New Zealand, and using VISTA Home Premium x64.
I went in to settings to se if if could change the skin from slick and GBPVR locked up. Got out with task manger. Then just error (ms) Did reboot, and recording service pops up with 8 tuners listed (like when yor install GBPVR on a machine without any tuners) Checked hardwrae manager, all cards working, 2 of them.
Tried "repair" option, but that just bounced back just at the end.
Backed up GBPVR folder.
Reboot, uninstalled GBPVR
Reboot installed GBPVR - this went ok unil config, mserror again.
Pretty much stuck now. Not sure on what to do as uninstalling and reintall has worked in the past. Also havn't seen the recording service behaving like this before.
After making changes using the Config program, PVRX2 will crash when run. I then have to terminate the process in Task Manager. I can only get it to run properly by re-installing GB-PVR.
Also, I have not been able to get Live TV running using InterVideo nonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge (Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950Q). I have used this decoder successfully with SageTV (trial version), Beyond TV (trial version) and WatchHDTV 1.961
With all the new exiting developments hopefully on the way, I decided to have another go at getting component working.
Sorry, but I'm failing dismally.
HDMI works a treat and this is what I've done:-
On PCH set the video to component 1080p 60Hz (was at HDMI 1080p 60Hz).
changed the startup script from -o hdmi to -o component.
When the PCH restarts, its own menu pops up (softer to view than HDMI) and when I navigate and start the script, the screen just goes blank, needing a reboot of the PCH.
enclosed zip file with startup script (run from HDD) and output from manually running the script.
My ISP (TPG - Australia) provides IPTV as a multicast stream in the format of h264 video and mpg audio.
I am using the External/ Graph recorder plugin as a capture source and seem to have it (the plugin) setup and working properly using VLC to enable recording of the IPTV channels. Because it is h264 video, I have set VLC to record to ts file. I can replay this recorded file in a directshow player (windows media player) so I have filters ok (splitter, decoders, etc).
In PVRX2 (timeshift mode) selecting Live TV - I get no picture (black screen) and about 10 seconds of constant audio then the audio starts to break up. Looking at the lastgraph.grf, the file gets fed to GBPVRParser and it only outputs one audio pin, nothing else (no video/ h264).
If I select a recording from Video Library it plays fine.
The only thing I can think of is GBPVRParser does not like the stream produced. It is 544 x 576 frame size, would this make a difference? Is it the way VLC writes ts streams?
I cannot transcode the stream to mpeg2 video as my pc is not powerful enough.
Using the latest version of GBPVR 1.3.11 with the latest patch for that filter. Using VLC 0.9.9 for external plugin.
Went over the supported capture cards in the wiki, but I'm not sure whether the hauppauge WinTV-USB2-Stick works with GBPVR.
I just want to make sure before buying one.
Thanks
brilliant program but I've run into a problem for which im sure there is a simple solution that I've missed!
I'm trying to get the green power button on my hauppauge remote to open pvrx2 in fse mode. I've set pvrx2 to open as such in config, and I've added this line to the default section in irremote.ini :
GRNPOWER={run(C:\Progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\PVRX2.exe)}
Whilst this does open pvrx2 it is in windowed mode and my plugin settings aren't loaded - the standard plugins and settings are there.
tried using -fse switch but same thing happens.
desktop shortcuts launch in fse with my settings fine as does opening pvrx2.exe from the gbpvr folder.
I'm running the most recent version with standard plugins only, nothing too fancy as i'm just trying to start out simple!
Any ideas why this line in irremote.ini "GRNPOWER={run(C:\Progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\PVRX2.exe)}" doesn't seem to be taking into account my config settings?
There's three places where movie thumbnails are used, twice in the plugin and once in the Manager. Each implementation allows for a thumbnail space with a different aspect ratio. Can this be made consistent?
My thumbnail aspect ratio preference is 1.60, as in the plugin small thumbnail, but as long as they are same, I will work with that.
