I have a subfolder (named "Extra") in GBpvr where I put odd stuff that I seldom use. But I can not open this folder in CS4 (or in CS3).
GBpvr fades a bit and stays like that. If I press "stop" it goes back to normal view and I can select any other list item.
As I wrote the above, I got an idea and copied another task image, named it "Extra.png" and now it works.
It seems like CS need to have a task image to work well....
Using the skip button in TV Guide jumps two days instead of one day. I am using a Microsoft MCE Remote 2005 (version 2). I am still using GPVR 1.2.9. Is there a way to fix this?
I now have my PS3 streaming shows from the PC to my big screen, but the interfaces for viewing the files (UPNP and some other things I have cobbled together) have a low WAF. All of the other TV's in the house have MVP's attached and that is the interface everyone is used to.
Since the MVP is just a Linux box (right?) and you can load Linux on a PS3, is there a way to have the dongle run the GBPVR interface on a PS3?
Iwas trying to install gbpvr on an XP computer (to use as pc client)
I get error "installation ended prematurely because of an error" when trying to install.
It looks like full installtion is done - a lot of files are in the created gbpvr directory - but in the end installtion roll backs and error message comes up.
What can be the reason?
I think there may have been an old installation where the folder was deleted instead of uninstall - can this be the proble - and if so what can I remove in registry or else here?
I have just come back to GBPVR after running MediaCenter for a 1,5 year.
Before I always used Xrecord since I like the way one can add info about the recording after it has been made in the .dat file
No when I start a recording from XGuide - no dat file is created - have I forgot something that need to be set?
(I found the to press ctrl S and choos Export all to create .dat on all recordings that still have data in GBPVR database - but is there a setting to always create the .dat file when recording starts?
another question - what was the difference between movies and videos?
Is there a way to clone the client install so that it can be copied on mulitple machines? This includes the directory configurations, skins and plugins.
I'm at my wits end. I am running 1.3.11 in an AMD Athlon 2400+ with a hauppauge PV-150 capture card and an ATI Radeon X1300 video card. I am using Vista business SP1. When I run in timeshift mode for about 10 mins everything works fine. But after that if I pause the video never comes back sometimes, other times only the audio comes back. In all cases I have to exit to the main menu and come back to live tv. The problem happens in all codecs I have tried (intervideo, MPV filter, ATI)
I am attaching my logs. Thee is an error at the end saying
Wonder if these could be better "clients" for GBPVR than maybe even the PCH, i.e. closer in size to an extender like the PCH and also the flexibility of a PC with enough power to run 1080p content.
Issues I see for my own needs with this particular ION PC is lack of SPDIF, component video outputs as were demo'ed in Nvidia's reference box since my receiver and TV do not have HDMI, plus the single core Atom versus the dual core from the reference design.
Firstly id like to apologize for my ignorance.
Current setup:
WHS SP2
GBPVR 1.3.11
VerMedia AVerTV Combo PCIe ATSC/NTSC/QAM
HDHR should be here tomorrow.
So far this is what ive done. Ive connected my cable (no STB, but direct) to my analog source, I go into config and setup my capture source with Analog Recording Plugin, i go to schedules direct website and add my listing, then go back to config and setup my EPG, click update EPG and it picks up channels, but I cant watch all of 'em (scrambled). I cant see history, BET, etc. Is this specific to my area (90065)? Now the 2nd part. I tired setting up a QAM source the same way and when I update EPG I see all these listings, I enable them all then try clicking on the guide, but nothing happens, I click on Live TV and nothing happens. At least with the analog source I can watch some channels, but with QAM I get nothing. Now from what I understand the listings that are getting picked up are just what its referencing on the schedules direct site, correct? Im a total gbpvr newguy. I tried going into my bda.ini and reming out TUNING_SPECIAL=2, but not dice. I feel like im missing a piece of the puzzle. Anyway, thank you in advance. Peace
