  Music/Video/Picture Filter
Posted by: gnutech - 2009-04-08, 01:33 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Once you've accumulated a ton of media, it begins to become difficult to arrow through each title. Would it be possible or does GB-PVR already have a function to page through the media lists? Perhaps adding a title filter option, similar to the tv search, that allows you to view all titles that start with a specific letter?

Just a thought.

Kind Regards,

Gary

GB-PVR on HP Mediasmart Server - service not running
Posted by: ossodiseppia - 2009-04-07, 09:31 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

I've spent the last few hours digging around for the answer and have come up dry. For some reason, the only way I can get the MVP (Hauppauge) to boot up and display the menu is to manually run PVRX2.exe (START>>RUN>>"C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\PVRX2.exe" -mvpmode). As long as I have the RDP open and that PVRX2 running, the MPV works.

What do I need to do to get this thing running without having to RDP to my server?

Thanks in advance

Live TV from Client - network 1MBps or 3.7MBps - why?
Posted by: fpdave - 2009-04-07, 09:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Sometimes when I use LiveTV it plays fine with no stutter and my network monitor on Vista (Reliability and Performance Monitor) indicates about 1MBytes per second are being received by the Vista client.

Sometimes, however, the LiveTV stutters terribly and is virtually unviewable, and the network use is about 3.7MBytes per second.

Why this difference. This is with no config changes between readings. It seems to be random whether it uses 3.7 or 1 MB, why?

My network between teh client and the server is a power cable network with a claimed thruput of 200Mbits/sec and should be able to make 7MBytes/sec. I'd really like to use this over wireless, but clearly wont be able to do that whilst this problem remains.

Anyway, the main problem is why its so inconsistent in its network utilisation.

VStream PVR2 USB2820 (KWorld) USB Tuner Support.
Posted by: pkp413 - 2009-04-07, 08:01 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Hello,

I am trying to set up this tuner with the latest version of gbpvr on XP SP3. The tuner works fine with bundled software (TVR).

When I configure gbpvr, it detects the hardware. I was able to configure EPG and bring up the UI, TV guide works fine, but when I press Live TV or select "Watch" from the TV guide I get no video. Do I need to install an encoder to view Live TV? I am using the integrated graphics in the setup (no graphics card).

Thanks in advance.

  CS4 Skin & Plugin
Posted by: roy - 2009-04-07, 06:28 PM - Forum: Community Skin - Replies (8)

Downloaded and installed the new Community-SD 4.0.0 release with no problems. Skin looks great! Excellent work gentlemen. Big Grin I'll get to playing with it now, and look forward to Hairy's forthcoming themes that I'm sure are in development. Wink

One minor item (bug) I see in the Skin Plugin - when selecting folder icons, there is a [Transparent] option that does not work (it's an empty folder).

Congratulations! It's a Skin!

WizMetaDataGrabber do not save to XML
Posted by: 7ore - 2009-04-07, 05:32 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (4)

This problem has been on and off.
But I think I have caught it now.
If I open the Grabber UI and the setting is to save to separate metadata.xml
this won't happen.
All is loaded and it is possible to see the data in the edit box. But no xml-file is saved.
Same if I run the commandline. The "/sf" do not work, no xml-files is added.
"/sb" work fine though.

  Xmltv dst (?)
Posted by: fhmanas - 2009-04-07, 04:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Is there a setting that would adjust the time in TV Guide.

For more explanation, here is what is happening.

1. I am using TVxb to scrub XML schedules.

2. The schedule of the program in the website being scrub is ie.

That's So Raven : Sister Act
12:30 AM - 01:00 AM My Alerts

3. The XML generated produces the following line to be read by GBPVR.

<programme start="20090408163000 UTC" stop="20090408170000 UTC" channel="disney.ph">
<title lang="en">That&apos;s So Raven</title>
<sub-title lang="en">Sister Act</sub-title>
</programme>

4. GBPVR TV Guide shows the program at

That's So Raven : Sister Act
11:30 PM - 12:30 AM

I don't understand why GBPVR adjusts the sched to 1 hour earlier. Am in the timezone as the website being scrubbed.

Please help.

  Moviewiz Command Line Problem
Posted by: JP23 - 2009-04-07, 01:56 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (3)

Hi,

When I press "Sync Archived" in moviewizmanager, missing entries are found ok, and I can then remove them with "Del Hidden"
however, the following command in a batch file:

Code:
c:\"Program Files"\Devnz\Gbpvr\Plugins\Moviewiz\Moviewizmanager -SyncArchived -HideMissing -RemoveHidden

doesn't seem to do anything, entries for missing files are still in the database afterwards.

Is there something obvious that I'm doing wrong?
