After installing CS4-SD (release), I still have the same minor cosmetic issue on the 8-channel tv guide as I posted in the beta thread. There's an extra few lines of black border below the 8th channel line. Is this something that can't be fixed for some reason?

Seem to have run into a problem with Live TV on my MVP's.
All I've added since testing the system over the last couple of days is the Utility MVP Server Checker and Community Skin 4.
Am getting no tuners available message on the MVP's but recording service isn't even green in the tray. Just ran GBPVR on the server and chose a channel and it played fine.
Logs attached, anyone can answer?

Hi all, I've been running 1.3.11 on an XP3, 1.7Ghz AMD machine with a Hauppauge 1600 card and have been pretty happy with it, especially on OTA HD channels. I use the HTPC for Live TV, recording, and DVD playback. But of course like most of us who have home built HTPCs, I'm always tweaking for just a little better picture.
I'm using ffdshow as the decoder for the OTA channels and the ATI MPEG decoder for the output from a Directv box (SD). I keep trying to match the output from gbpvr to the output straight out of the Directv box, but just can't quite get there with the ATI decoder so I thought I'd try ffdshow there as well. The picture was markedly better, but when I changed channels back to OTA, those channels lost audio/video sync and became very choppy. I tried as many of the tips for ffdshow setup that I could find in the forums, but nothing worked so I went back to the original ATI/ffdshow config and everything worked fine again. My question is, could using the same decoder for SD and HD channels cause that kind of problem?
Not sure if people caught this or not....there was a new PCH firmware release the other day....just a maintenance release.

Hi, I'm new to this software and when it's working, it's very good but when it misbehaves it drives me to dispair.
I eventually got a configuration that seemed to work and I was using LiveTV last night when the picture and sound started to stall/stammer making viewing impossible.
After a few minutes of channel changing (to see if it would clear the hesitations) the sound stopped, the screen blanked and then I got the No Signal display - check connections etc.
Knowing the connections were fine, I fired up the software bundled with my tuner and it was working fine. I reloaded LiveTV and all EPG programme descriptions were blank (no information). A retune did nothing to correct this problem.
Does this indicate a software (gbpvr?) fault or is it in my configuration?
I was wondering if there were any cable gurus out there!
I have a cheapie plexus 5m DVI cable running from my Rad 3450 to my TV, with a DVI to HDMI adaptor at the TV end.
I get a very grainy picture- rather than solid colours, I have grainy noise, that appears to move (the kind that you used to get in analogue). I also get a sparkly halo around (for example) football players and the stars in the Eurosport logo.
It's not obvious until you get close, but once I realised it was there, it has to go! I have tried ATI denoise options, etc, but all to no avail.
Cable gurus- before I rush out buy something expensive, do you think that this is worth a try? If so, what make would you go for?

PS- I have the resolution set to 1080p, so I was wondering if the loverly copy protection might be lowering picture quality for non HD content??
I am experiencing a curious problem that may in fact be a bug with GBPVR.
Say I want to record 10 series. I add the 10 and let the library fill up with a few episodes of each show. I begin to notice that series listed near the top of the list get priority over series listed near the bottom of the list when the times overlap.
Are series listed near the top of the list given higher priority over those listed near the bottom of the list?
This doesn't make a lot of sense as newer series are listed on the top as opposed to be listed on the bottom. Do I have to make a list of what I want to record series-wise then add them in reverse order to prioritize certain series over others?
If I invoke or allow windows to enter standby again, upon return go directly to a digital channel on the HVR-1600 the sound works, and if I change channel from there to an analog channel the sound works. No problems this way.
Ok, This is a weird one. If I invoke or let windows enter standby, upon return I have no sound with the analog channels of the HVR-1600. If I then switch channel to a Digital (QAM) source, sound works. If I then return back to any analog channel the sound works.
On a fresh boot, sound will be in the analog channels, but once it goes into standby, the sound does not come back unless I do what I am describing above.

I can duplicate this everytime.
I have tried ffdshow, AC3, Nvidia, Cyberlink, MPA, System Default, you name it. There is no difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions what else I can do/try?
