I've searched the boards, but I haven't seen this one:
In the record & search menus (& submenus), I need to move the mouse slightly in order for the mouse clicks to respond.
I use a trackball, so the pointer doesn't move at all unintentionally, as with a mouse. I can 2X click on an item till I'm blue in the face, but the item won't select until I move the pointer a bit.
NEWSFLASH: I've just discovered, however, that if I 3X click an item, it will select.
This phenomenon doesn't happen in the TV Guide area. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?? Should I just train myself to 3X click???
I randomly have an issue where a show records on the wrong channel. (Example: "The Office" is supposed to record and it records a show on FOX instead.) The time and duration is correct and it only happens once in a while. It's like the HDHR is stuck on the wrong channel or GBPVR isn't sending a change channel command. When it happens, I reboot the server and the HDHR. This resolves the issue.
Does anyone else with a HDHR experience this issue?
I've just installed MVPMCX2 as per the dummies guide. Everything seemed to go well, but I've had these problems:
1) I have set the directories for my media and can browse to them from my PC and laptops, but when I load GB-PVR on my PHC A-110, no files are shown.
2) As per the instructions, I checked to see if I could see the mayhem theme, but all I got was a blue theme with a horizontal menu. My MAC address is correct
3) When I change the theme in the config, it doesnt change the theme remains the same when I open GB-PVR
4) Musicscanner.exe is not in my C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\ directory.
Thats me for now, thanks in advance for your help.
Hi,
I'm having a strange issue again. Randomly, recordings will just stop happening - it says its recording, and creates a new folder, however no files are created. Also, I'm noticing the files saved whilst updating the EPG aren't being deleted.
I'm using the latest version, with no plugins installed other than the Cyberlink mux which has been working perfectly before. I've reregistered the mux filters a few minutes ago to see if it stops happening, although I don't know that its relevant. System uses two Nova-T cards.
Any of the ML2/ML3 users would have noticed the slowdown/lack of releases over the last year.
I'm sorry to say that this will probably continue for the foreseeable future. My wife and I are expecting our first child, and some of the drive has gone out of developing.
So while I'll still be pretty active on the forums, and try to fix any ML2/ML3 problems, I'm not sure if there will be another release.
However, if some of the other developers would like access to the source, maybe working with a joint Google Code project then perhaps we can keep this beast alive. PM me if you'd be interested. I doubt I would be taking a very active role in the ongoing development though.
Cheers and thanks to all the guys that have done testing/development/bug reports over the last couple of years. Specifically actcms, pz1, tkgafs and smelcher, And thanks for all the skin devs for help, and for making ML2 look so pretty!!
I've bought a new DVB-T USB device which seems not supported by default in GBPVR. The name for the DVB-T device is the Zolid Hybrid TV Stick but the real name is a Trident TVBox (according to Linux). With the following addition in the BDA.ini I managed to get it working (scanning and viewing):
Code:
[Zolid Hybrid TV Stick]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="Trident Analog plus Digital Video Device"
FILTER_CAPTURE="Trident Analog plus Digital Video Device"
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
It would be nice to have the current time displayed in all menu windows somewhere so that you can glance at it without having to be in just the right place.
I purchased a Popcorn Hour A-110 last week and was a bit disappointed with the interface and lack of basic functionality. I've had a look at GB-PVR and it looks great, and if I can get it to work, it will be exactly what I am looking for.
My question is this:
My media collection is stored on the HDD that is in my A-110. If I view media through GB-PVR, will it play directly from the HDD or will it stream via my PC where GB-PVE is installed? If the latter, then will there be a significant delay when watching divx movies and the like?
My current setup is as follows:
500gb HDD installed in the A-110
A-110 wired to my Netgear wireless router
PC connected wirelessly to router
PC maps drive m:\ to share on A-110 HDD
Hi
I have a humax PVR and I would like to watch things that I have previously recorded on my tv upstairs. So I am looking for some kind of wireless Tv link, but it must be compatible with the humax PVR and will I need a new remote control or can I just take the original one upstairs. The main reason I want this is to watch pre recorded programs, as I already have free view upstairs. Can anyone recommend what I am looking for.
I also have concerns it may interfer with my BT hub is this true or not?
