  <MVPUseIncrementalUpdates>
Posted by: ACTCMS - 2009-03-08, 02:38 AM - Forum: Developers - No Replies

In the config app on the MVP & NMT tab, the 'Use incremental screen updates' check box is bound to the <MVPUseIncrementalUpdates> setting in config.xml.

Can I assume that this setting applies to any/all MVP's and NMT's attached to a server but can be overridden for a specific MVP/NMT MAC Address by specifying <MVPSendIncrementalUpdates> in an <MVPSpecificSettings> <MAC-hhhhhhhhhhhh> node?

Map Digital Channel fails (version 1.3.11)
Posted by: ekalavya - 2009-03-08, 02:31 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hello,
I am a newbie and please bear with me. I have been desperately trying to convert my 5 year old computer to htpc ( ADS Tech Instand HDTV pci, SONY VAIO pcv-rz14g ...2.5 GHz processor, 1.0 Gig RAM, 120 Gig hard drive, Windows XP with service pack 3) and after trying bunch of other software, currently trying to get gbpvr to work for its simplicity and its seemingly being fast to load.

Here is the problem...I have EPG working (OTA) and see TV GUIDE etc., but when I go to configure the source, and try the "Map Digital Channel", it coes back with error. I am stuck....please help me.

Using latest GBPVR...1.3.11

This is the error I get from Microsoft .NET Framework....."Unhandled exception has occured in your application....Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I am also attaching the log files.

Thank you so much in advance.

  MovieWiz 1.0.24.0 Series Lookup
Posted by: gehing - 2009-03-08, 12:46 AM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (8)

Hello,
I have some trouble with series lookup in the new version. It works the first time, but the second time it doesn't look in thetvdb.com, instead it goes to IMDB.
The first was the episode "The Butterfly Effect" from Heroes. My title field was:
Heroes | The Butterfly Effect

The log shows:

VERBOSE [1] MovieWizConfigForm: tsbLookupDetail_Click()- Lookup detail requesetd.
VERBOSE [1] TheTvDbScraper: SearchForShow("Heroes", "The Butterfly Effect")- BEGIN

The second was the episode "One of Us, One of Them" from Heroes. My title field was:

VERBOSE [1] MovieWizConfigForm: tsbLookupDetail_Click()- Lookup detail requesetd.
VERBOSE [1] AWizScraper: filterShowName()- Title: 3037 One of Us One of Them

This time, it didn't take the title, it took the filename instead.

How can this be fixed? I cannot close/open the MovieWiz Manager after each lookup, that take too much time.

Regards,
Gert

  SearchWiz wish list
Posted by: backforward - 2009-03-08, 12:35 AM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (2)

Thanks JavaWiz for a great add-on Smile I have been playing with it and config files and have couple of notes.

Recording status is already marked in "program times list" and that's great but it would be quite helpful if you could mark also the items in the "program list". I tried copying eyeCatcher to ProgramListSelected nodes but it was happily ignored Smile I guess you retrieve recording status only for selected show.

It seems @rating contains combined star-rating and categories. Same with @channel that contains combined channel, start and stop dates. Any chance to get all of them split?

Could you use locale settings for date/time display that goes into @channel variable, at the moment it seems to be hardcoded to US locale.

Cheers

  No LiveTV with Nvidia DualTV
Posted by: Ringlord - 2009-03-07, 11:33 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am stumped.

When I go to select live TV it returns immediately to tme menu. I have been searching for a soluction and cannot find out how I can fix this. Does any have suggestions that would fix my problem. I am working with NVidia DualTV. I have gone through and fixed the Direct.ini file to make sure that my filters are named correctly. A copy of the filter check is attached.

I believe the problem has something to do with an error I am getting in my pvrx2 log. I have attached a copy of the logs. The error I am receiving is:

  Install problems
Posted by: richardcoop2 - 2009-03-07, 11:23 PM - Forum: XSuite (Xrecord, XSearch, XGuide, CDK Scheduler) - Replies (8)

I must be missing something stupid but I can't install the XSuite plugins. I am using the latest version of gb-pvr 1.3.11 and the beta v50 of Xsuite. Clicked on xrecord-setup.exe and enabled the plugins in the plugins tab of config. The plugins show up in the main PVRX2 menu but when I select them nothing happens. I found the dlls in the plugin directory. This all is in XP Media Edition.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Can I Pre-Process the xml Files?
Posted by: LewE - 2009-03-07, 09:00 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (38)

Today, I posted a "Wishlist" item to have the ability to define (possibly in CONFIG) the ability to add/subtract some time to/from the times in the program guide. I want to do this because the technicians that maintain the cable service for my complex (by an exclusive contract) are incompetent and occasionally point the satellite receivers to the wrong feed so show listings end up being three hours off because they point at an East Coast feed rather than a West Coast feed like they are supposed to.

It occurred to me that if I were to go into the xml file before Ultra runs, I could have a program I write for myself do the manipulation of the start and end times of the programs in the xml files.

Is there a way I can schedule my own program to run before Ultra does each day?

Do you see any problems I would introduce by doing this?

  USB-Uirt > Pace DS230 bit flakey
Posted by: psycik - 2009-03-07, 08:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Been having trouble with the USB-Uirt to DS230.

I've had to turn on 3 digit since it seemed to ignore the first digit. It seems to work ok after a while, but the first couple of times it gets it horribly wrong.

Anyone got this combination of stuff....I'm guessing not as the usb-uirt is pretty obscure over here.

Option to Set Our Own Hours Offset for Individual Channels
Posted by: LewE - 2009-03-07, 05:14 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I realize that this request is unique and 99.999% of the users would have no need for it.

My local cable provider is incompetent. I am not just talking about the normal grumbling about cable tv service. These people are world class incompetent.

They provide cable television service to our complex (through an exclusive contract) by a bunch of Dish Network receivers at a head end on our site and then pass the signal on to us. It is not unusual for them to set a receiver to the wrong satellite feed for a channel, e.g. point to the East Coast U.S. feed when they are supposed to pick up the West Coast feed. This ends up making the listings off by three hours and useless for scheduling recordings. During these times I have to use manual recording but besides the inconvenience, this method also loses all the program description.

The solution is not to wait until Schedule Direct has its own ability to fix lineups because these interruptions are temporary but could last weeks until the jokers who maintain the system fix their mistakes.

If I could set a unique offset in CONFIG for each individual channel then I could compensate for the problem until it goes away.

  Migrating Files with MovieWiz
Posted by: pwrmac7100 - 2009-03-07, 05:05 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (3)

I recently added a NAS to my network in hopes of creating a gigantic movie vault. I have close to 500 movies that used to exist on the GB-PVR local hard drive...they are now on the NAS. Is there a "quick" way to change the file location to point at the new location of the movies? From what I can tell, the only solution is to re-import all the titles (which would take forever).

I'm assuming the db3 file is dBaseIII? I tried to open the database with various program, using ODBC, but I cannot. Can you recommend a db program that will allow me to edit the db3 filemyself?
