Since the latest version 1..3.11, I get a hang each time I push Ok in config.I have to manually kill the config process and restart recording service. Changes seems to be stored from config though.
Whenever I start an MKV file I get the bottom taskbar to pop up and pvrx2 looses focus. Since I control gbpvr from a remote this means I have to fetch the keyboard and click in the gbpvr window to regain focus and get the remote to work.
Why is this happening and can it be avoided? I suspect it is the tray icon for vobsub that triggers loss of focus. Can gbpvr be set to be always on top?
im trying to get the codes for system standby off my sony remote - problem is, it appears to send two sets of code, the first one turns off my reciever, the 2nd turns off the tv - now, the reason i want this is for discrete coding so if the pc turns off, so does the receiver + tv (i have home made daisy chained blasters, total of 6 running off the one mce reciever, so not a problem to put one on tv + one on reciever)...
found intelliremote has a HID tester that shows the MCE strings, which show two distinct different codes coming through when i press the standby buttons
frustrating, anyone have any ideas? im fresh out + not a programmer....
My PCH died. I get ~.5 second of the power light when I plug it in, then nothing. Started RMA.
I found my old MVP and tried to get it going. It loads the dongle, then stops at Contacting Servers. I've changed the router and updated GBPVR several times since I ran with MVP. I made sure the Hauppauge software isn't running. Is there something in config.xml or the config app I need to change to get it working?
Logs attached.
I've looked through the forums and the wiki, maybe i'm just missing it but.
Whenever I run a client on any of my pc's they get the data off of the server but when I go to play either live or recorded, it just blinks to a black screen then blinks back to the listing..............never plays the data
I just ran into an odd problem where my recording drive went from having 40GB of free space to having 5MB of free space. I tracked down the problem to 40GB worth of log files in the MVP_Cache folder. I don't know if all of these are being generated from ZProcess yet, but I did find a log file for ZProcess in there. If these are all coming from ZProcess then can I please make a request that a future release delete all log files in this folder when it starts transcoding?
Edit:
After thinking about this a little more, it would probably make more sense if you could just add a config setting as to the debug/logging level that is output. If this already exists please let me know so I can throttle it down.
Currently what happens is I insert the DVD, it reads for a bit and as soon as I click on the GBPVR DVD button, it ejects the DVD and a message pops up saying there is no DVD inserted.
If I load the same DivX (AVI) file into the Video Archive (on the HD) then GBPVR plays it as expected.
I am not sure whether this has to do with the differences in Codecs relative to the Config "Playback" section as opposed to the Config "DVD" section.
In the DVD config section, there appears to be no selection for a DivX codec even though one is installed. Does it just use this decoder anyway even though it doesn't show up?
If it does use this codec automatically, why does GBPVR eject the DivX DVD rather than playing it?
I am also a little confused by the Navigator selection as opposed to the Video Render selection. The Navigator seems to have references to Video Decoders just as does the Video Render selection. Does the Navigator selection indicate a codec that does both Navigation and Video decoding? Is this the difference between the two selections?
1. Sort - it seems to sort by date ascending or descneding only. Any chance of adding a filename sort?
2. View - I'd like very much to see an exteneded view of the show name, I have 75 episodes of one series, and had to rename them to a very short name to see the difference between them. Attached a pic of the renamed version, but with a long filename they appear all as identical names... so I have to enter each one to see what it is called.
I have some divx files which I tried to play on the MVP but they didn't work.
So I thought OK, I think the PCH can play those natively (via GBPVR). It didn't, it just jumped back to the menu.
On the PC (via GBPVR) was fine.
On the PCH I can also play those without GBPVR
I could however play them by simply renaming the files to .avi.
I have Kepi's XVID installed which I assume GBPVR uses to transcode Divx too? Do I need to install anything else? Or somehow run those files through an external converter?
I am trying to get Clear QAM channels using my VIXS Pure tv Tuner card. I got the analog tuner setting done and it is working fine. But my comcast provides clear QAM as my HDTV get those channels I kown. But i am trying to set my HTPC to rund and record those channels as well. I setup a second capture for digital recording and when i see the setting ai see three sources list when i select " show only the devices detected on this system). But i have no idea what next i need to do. I had to get the EPG data for my analog tuner and it was hard to digg through the forum and find a way to do that... but i did that already.
What i need to do to set the QAM channels working? I got a splitter at the end of my ccomcast cable and then I give one input to the anlog tuner and one input to the ATSC tuner which supports the clear QAM as i searched through some website.
I have attached the screen shots of my seetings so far... Please if some one can guide me how to set the QAM channels working that will be really great. Thanks
