This is a fresh install of NextPVR on Manjaro.  I have a Hauppauge 950Q and it is not picking it up (Kaffeine does). When I go to scan for devices in the web interface settings, this error occurs.

It would be of immense benefit to me and I'm sure others if the standard desktop version of NPVR would let you select a new channel while watching another using the keyboard (Windows 11) - in the same way that the UI client lets you. The latter doesn't work for me as it cannot transcode quickly enough and sound is very noisy.

For some time now, my NextPVR install has been exceeding 1,000,000 K of memory in Windows 10. I don't know exactly when it started, but I began noticing it a month or so ago. The only way to stop it was to restart the NextPVR Service, but then it would gradually climb back up to that value again.

Today, I did a fresh reinstall and the problem is still happening.

Any idea what's going on? I've attached my logs.

Hi, sometimes my scheduled recordings don't work.
Yesterday I planned 5 recordings, 4 of them worked.

The following error message appears:



In nrecord.log the error appears on line 35802.

Unfortunately I can't get any smarter from the logs.


My setup:
Ubuntu Server 20.04.4 LTS
NextPVR Version: 5.2.7.220410

My internet provider also provides IPTV streams as part of their service. Generally these work fine and there is no published limit to the max number of streams. (I have run multiple streams in different instances of VLC without problem).
When using NextPVR hosted in Docker on a QNAP NAS, I am limited to receiving one stream only using the IPTV device. Trying to start a parallel stream fails with a 'Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)' or other error message.

The provider is using multicast, and the m3u file has this structure

Maybe I am missing something obvious that a lot of Googling hasn't turned up.

I have an occasional problem when recording an IPTV stream with NextPVR. Periodically, I tend to have a short network drop. I'm not sure if it's my ISP or my VPN provider but for sure I'm losing connection to the outside world periodically for short periods of time. I confirmed this by logging a ping test over several days. When this happens while I'm recording an IPTV TS stream my recording gets aborted and I see the messages in the log below. Not unexpected I think but is there a setting in NextPVR that would make it automatically retry/resume the download and recording? Perhaps it does retry and if that's the case is there a configuration parameter that I could change to extend the amount of time it retries?

Is there a way to get this setting in? Do I have modify something? The only way I can do this is through a Postprocessing file but I would like NextPVR to do the dirty work instead (and this will enable me to just run comskip)

Has something changed with either NPVR or SD in respect of the EPG days?  I have both entries in config.xml set to 21 days but I am only getting 12 days.  The relevant entries in the log appear to be:

What is the best pvr capture device that works with next pvr? I am currently using a colossus 2. Wondering if there's something better that's usb that will record 4k?

When starting the program, it asks for a password. I type admin/admin. It doesn't open. What should I do to open it? I installed the deb package program.
