I had some settings that I needed to change for my PVR-150, and when I go to download the Hauppauge Tweak Tool at http://www.cask-of-amontillado.com/pvr_tweak.html , I got a 404 Not Found error. Could someone be kind enough as to give me a link to this application. I would really appreciate it!

I'm 90% done with my HTPC build -using GBPVR and a Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE Kit (with IR Blaster). Everything looking good so far, EPG working nicely, had a h*ll of a job getting the USB IR receiver to install, eventually forced it through Hardware wizard-New USB device after installing a Microsoft patch. The blaster transmitter flashed during installation so I know (assume) it's okay.
Every attempt to run the blaster config. s/ware throws up the message "IR Blaster hardware not found" -any suggestions? I've downloaded and run the middleware/IR Blaster s/ware -no joy.
The remote is good otherwise, power button puts PC to sleep/wakes up the PC from standby, DVD control buttons operate with the Cyberlink Power DVD software perfectly. I can live without the Blaster functionality but it nags at me...as I'm just taking a feed from the Sky Digital set-top box I can progam the shows in the Sky EPG and use that to force the channel change on the Sky box?
One other issue, I want to re-program the remote WinTV power button (small red button) to start the GBPVR software from windows (XP SP2). The PC boots straight into the GBPVR program, but I drop out to use windows from time to time. I've found the command line in the irremote.ini file that starts the Wintv program, but attempts to change it to start the pvrx2.exe app just through up an "application not found" message when button is pushed? I've tried including/excluding full directory in command line.
Sorry for so many questions but it's all a learning curve right now...
Hey.. I love the way the screenshot looks for browsing movies in Slick. Is there some easy way to grab this XML data from somewhere? Or would I have to write it all out myself for each movie as it comes in. Is there some sort of XSLT out there that can already translate and create the required files?
I have just bought a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-S Plus TV card for my computer. I'm using it to access Freesat channels, but the supplied WinTV software does not allow access to the Freesat EPG.
I'm looking for some software that will allow me to use the Freesat EPG to see program listings for the Freesat channels, and schedule recordings based on the listings. I came across GB-PVR, but I can't find any instructions on how to set it up, other than snippets of information in various forum posts.
Can anyone tell me step by step how to configure GB-PVR to use the Freesat EPG, once I've installed GB-PVR and scanned for channels?
Against my better judgement I allowed the HD Homerun software to run an update the other day and ever since I did that it's been dropping the signal within GBPVR. I have been able to get it back the last time by restarting the recording service or doing a reboot but now I can't get it back. I can view the channels within the HD Homerun config utility but when I try to open live tv within GBPVR it says there's no signal. Not quite sure where to go from here. I tried doing a remap of the digital channels and the config didn't find anything but the ID for the tuners within the capture source tab is correct. I've attached my logs just in case that helps.
Curious to know if anyone has this cracked now. I had no problems getting full Hardware Acceleration on HD .mkv files, but once I got a satellite card neither MPC-HC or Cyberlink PDVD8 could accelerate the H264 .ts files (in an mpeg container) used by BBC HD, ITV HD, and Luxe TV HD - at least not with acceptable results. Would get bad interlacing and strange stuttery play.
So I settled on CoreaVC - because it works - though it does have it's own quirks, notably not seeking through .ts files so well. Play usually freezes after a ff or rw skip, and you have to press RW - FF a few times to start play again.
I could not even use the hardware deinterlacing with CoreAVC, because it would stop deinterlacing working properly. Downside of this was typical 60-70% CPU viewing the HD channels, thus noisy fans. This was also the reason I chose not to use MPC-HC or Cyberlink decoders without HA - because the deinterlacing was not right.
The reason for me looking at this issue again is, firstly, because I saw a post by user 'Adspence' saying that a newer version of CoreAVC fixed some issue - so I installed CoreAVC 1.85 and, sure enough, hardware deinterlacing now works perfectly - if NV12 is selected as the output colourspace (the NV12 option is new) - This alone has dropped CPU to 45%.
Secondly, for the the first time, I managed to get perfect playback (with no interlacing or stutter) of GBPVR HD recordings, with HA, in the MPC-HC stand-alone player. To achieve this was just trial and error, but the the following settings (image attached) - and only these settings - plays perfect HD with only 10% CPU. Any deviation from these settings - for example using 3D surfaces or YUV mixing - and play of the files becomes unacceptable.
Using the MPC-HC stand-alone decoders, or Cyberlink PDVD8, in GBPVR results in no HA. Looking at the filters used during playback, the only difference I can see is that MPC-HC is using the Halli media splitter, and PVRX2 uses the MPEG-2 Demultiplexer. No idea is this has any bearing though...
I need help to use my Asus PE6200 anlalog tv card in gbpvr which works well with the arcsoft media center software, this media center software comes with the card. The card uses a vixs chip with mpeg hardware. Adding a new card definition with the method of using grapedit can't be used as it does not show any names.
I have no idea what to do now, I checked forems etc. as I also receive errors about some crossbar ?
GBPVR has been working GREAT for us! But as with everything in life there was a couple things we thought would be nice if we could change them.
Customizing a remote control is well covered but there was some tweaking available beyond reassigning keys that we've discovered ("we", as in my son and I).
The problem with reassigning keys is that those reassignments affect all the modules in GBPVR, so if you reassign the up/down buttons for example it may be difficult to navigate the menus.
We have the Hauppauge 1062 MCE remotes and they aren't backlit so when sitting in the dark watching TV sometimes it's a bit hard to find the proper keys - especially the skip forward and back keys. We use those a lot as we played with the commercial skip and found it more bother to setup and refine than it was to just set the skip forward to 30 seconds and the skip backwards to 10 seconds - now it's a breeze to skip the commercials and you're sure you're not missing anything.
Anyway, the things we do most often are turn the volume up/down, skip forward/backward, pause, and mute.
The 1062, like most MCE remotes, has a left/right/up/down/OK keypad on it so we thought it would be nice if we could make that key pad do our most commonly used functions as those keys are big and easy to find in the dark. The volume was already there on the left/right keys. Looking at it we decided to try and assign the skip forward to the up key, skip backward to the down key, and pause to the OK button. Mute we decided to leave alone as it's big and just two keys straight down from the pad.
We got to poking around and found you could do some tweaking on the remote commands by modifying the xml file for the specific modules that are in the KeyMappings folder.
We backed up our VideoPlayer.xml file, then opened it up with Notepad and made the following changes, then saved the file and started up GBPVR and WahLah! The remote was doing exactly what we wanted it to do!
(I put the changes in red bold italics, but of course when you open the file in Notepad you wont be able to, nor want to, do that - just enter the extra lines and save and exit as normal)
Just thought we'd pass it along as we're finding it very useful!

Anybody have suggestions on how to get GB-PVR to successfully use cable HRC freqeuncies in analog mode with an HVR-1250 card???
This card works fine with QAM now. I had trouble getting QAM to use the alternate cable HRC frequencies required by Comcast cable north of Boston, but thanks to whurlston's QAM.ini writer I could fix that.
I know that this card does NOT have hardware MPEG for the analog section, but a number of people have reported success in GBPVR ranging from live TV only to full functionality using the Soft MCE application from the Hauppauge driver disc. Nothing I have done gives me analog cable reception in Live TV or via the TV Guide. I highly suspect that somehow I am still not getting HRC tuning engaged in GB-PVR but I might be doing something else wrong.
I tried the following to get things working:
1. Added the below code to the .\DENZ\GBPVR\direct.ini file just before the first existing device (Hauppauge PVR150) in the file.

2. Did the forum recommended registry patch to make analog tuning use HRC frequencies:
For reference, this registry patch did NOT fix QAM tuning. I had to modify QAM.ini via whurlston's utility to get that to work. Hence, I suspect that just importing this registry entry is NOT enough by itself to get HRC tuning to work.
3. In GB-PVR Config on the Capture Tab I added the following:

My results so far:
1. In Live TV if I channel change from QAM to an analog channel I get a still image of the last QAM image and no sound. Moving the mouse does not bring up the menu like normal and right click does not exit TV like normal. I have to hit PageUp to get back to a QAM channel to work.
2. If I select an analog channel to watch now from the TV Guide I get a blank/black window and not sound. As soon as I move the mouse it goes back to the TV Guide.
3. If I select an analog channel in TV Guide and do Quick Rec I do get the appropriate diretory created but no file. Doing the same thing on a QAM channel gives a directory and a .TS file as expected.
When I select Cable HRC in WinTV I get all the channels fine. In the GB-PVR Tuning assistance selecting Hauppauge "HVR-1250 (Analog)", US, Cable finds the channels fine and clearly shows the tuned value is the alternate HRC freuqencies.
I ran GB-PVR's MuxChecker and it reported
"NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE."
Can this really be true? I get full functionality with QAM on recording and so if a third party MPEG multiplexor is required I would assume there is one. Any ideas??
Anybody got any suggestions on how to get GB-PVR to successfully use cable HRC frequencies in analog mode??? If that is not my problem anybody got an idea what I am doing wrong???
