I'm trying to get GBPVR going with a Pinnacle HD Pro for ATSC and a Pinnacle HD Mini Stick for QAM.

The sticks work in the Pinnacle TV Center Pro software
They are recognized by GBPVR as "present in the system"

When I get to the step for mapping the digital channels to the EPG I get a message box beginning with "GBPVR was unable to start the BDA Device you have configured.... ". Config then crashes

I'm a including a zip file with
bda.ini
filtercheck.log
config.exe.log and
config.exe-native.log

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to search within the UI for existing recordings, based on show (episode) name and/ or episode description?

For episodic shows that I would like to keep around for a while, it would be fun to have an extra feature in the record dialog.

When some of these repeat, I'd like to rerecord episodes that already exist, and remove the older entry. That would let me get rid of some items that might have comskip/ quality/ hardware / whatever differences.

Is there a clever way to do that already?

I am having trouble getting the MVP to play ts files.
GB-PVR 1.3.7 and MVP dongle.mvpmc-20080930.bin

I get no Audio but file plays OK in Mplayer.
Sometimes the MVP will lock up after a minute or so.

I have looked at several threads but cannot get the ts files to play with audio.
Have tried <MVPTranscodeTS>false<MVPTranscodeTS>

Does anyone have any pointers?

I am not sure if GBPVR is meant to be like this, but it would defeat the object if it is so.

Scheduled recording does not select the channel to record. I have seen that there is no flashing of the IR blaster led's when recording begins. This is the same for quick and manual recording. So it seems GBPVR is not sending channel change to HIP.

However channel changing works fine in other respects, ie viewing manually or selecting from EPG. I am using an MCE which is configured okay.

Any suggestions why this is happening?

I have trouble recording. Sometimes it works but more often it do not work at all. I have no problems watching TV or switching channels though.

I have submitted the logs for one scenario.
I start watching one channel without problem.
Then I start recording the same show by pressing the record button.
Now the screen gets black and I have to close the Live TV and go back to the menu.

Any ideas?

OK, I was monkeying around last night, upgrading to PVRX2 1.3.7, and I did something that has removed the choice of Music Library2 in the config app. I've tried to re-unzip the files from the download, but I must be missing something.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I just started over with a clean load of XP and GBPVR. I am trying to use the Multi-Record feature but I am not having much luck. I think I am missing something real simple, btu wanted to check with some of the experts.

I have the following

Hauppauge 1600 setup as QAM
Athlon 65 3500+
1gb memory
plenty of disk space

I am able to watch live tv and recorded shows. I have not completed a recording yet so I do not know if I am having the issue with 0kb files yet.

When I try to schedule more than 1 show at a time, I get the message that there is a conflict. I can post logs if necessary, but I think this is a configuration problem more than anything. I do have the multi-record checked and TS-Mux selected. is there anything else I should do to get this working.

I have an old laptop that can't run GBPVR, but I still wanted to be able to view my videos and recordings on it. I created a simple 'Video Plugin' type windows program that can be used as a Windows UI for accessing the movies. It simply navigates the directory structure and displays video entries and associated metadata and thumbnails (if they exist).



WizMovieLauncher Prerequisites:

• Install of VLC (to play the movies)
  
• .NET 2.0 runtime.
  

• Location is the physical drive mapping or UNC of a target directory
  
• Description is the text displayed in the list box for that entry
  

I've downloaded 1.3.7 and installed it and it is working well.

I've noticed a few things and there appears to be some patches in the thread labeled "v1.3.7 survival guide" that might apply.

Can the patches be applied independently or should I apply all the patches.
Also, I've noticed some other threads have patches that can be applied also.

I guess I'm asking how and what patches should I apply to a clean install of V1.3.7?
