I recently made a fresh install of GBPVR 1.3.7. I installed the new config.exe to correct the BBC channels not being found. I have a number of channels empty in the epg(ITV1 ITV2 ITV3 ITV4 C4 C4+1 E4 MORE4).

I have refreshed the epg several times and unset 'completely reload epg'.

Any further ideas? (logs enc.) Thanks in advance.

I have got a HVR 1800 MCE Kit and a pvr 150 card.
The kit comes with the "beanbag" receiver and option to run 2 ir blasters.

I have 2 Sat. receivers that I want to change channels on. Problem is, only the #2 port blaster works. #1 seems dead. I have tried Girder,Hip, and every combo of the replacement drivers for the MCE remote.

Pouring over 100's of posts, and many forums, looks like I'm not the only one stuck with this problem?

When I got the pvr150 card way back, it too was a "MCE Kit" back then I tried to use the #1 blaster port and it didn't work. I just used #2 with no problem, since I only had one sat. box.


So, could this be a hardware issue? Both my old "Kit" and my new "Kit" don't seem to be blasting on port #1.

I am running XP pro. latest PVRx2.

I have installed the latest version on a new Vista machine and am having problems on replay. Initially I had no sound and in desperation installed Pinnacle TV Center Pro in the hope that it would add all necessary codecs.

My files now play perfectly through the Pinnacle program but on GBPVR the sound is in slow motion. Live TV plays fine as do Netradio and MP3s. Does anybody have a suggestion?

I just moved my TV tuner to a computer running Vista. Now when I watch live TV, I'm only getting four buttons on screen: +, -, ||, X.

For every channel, I can't rewind the live video unless I press the "||" (pause) button first, then I get the extra buttons for timeshifting such as rewind and fast forward. But when I switch the channel, only the four buttons show up again. Isn't there a way to always enable the timeshifting buttons for each channel by default?

I am new to this HTPC software and am comming over from the snapstream crowd.. (This is much better )

I have installed everything (Did a fresh install of Vista, etc. Capture card works, blaster works in the config utility but not in GBPVR... One interesting item I noticed is the blaster flashes look "stronger" than when GBPVR does the call out. The flashes seem more like "flickers" (Or incoherent giberish). If you have any ideas please let me know.

BTW, I am using Haublast.exe and have set it up in the capture devices.

Hey all, another new guy to GBPVR. I'm using a Hauppauge 1600 card with OTA hooked up to the ATSC connector and output from a satellite box to the QAM/Analog connector. I'm using mc2xml for the EPG and haven't had any problem downloading info from Titantv. Where I am having problems is in the Guide.

I have the set-top box captured as an analog device where I've added only one channel named "Dish". I have added the OTA to the digital recording plugin, updated the EPG, and mapped digital channels to EPG. I can see the channels, about 50, in the preview window so I know it's seeing the channels, I enable the channels I want, I then press Update EPG again and exit the program.

When I start the Guide, the only channel that shows is the analog one. I tried to Update the EPG from the Guide as well, but still only get the analog channel. What might I be doing wrong?

I was able to modify pvruser's Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950 analog settings to get analog working for the 950Q.

Make sure you have the Hauppauge MCE soft encoder installed and add the following to the direct.ini file in the GBPVR folder.

I've been pretty happy with my regular old analog tunning GBPVR machine. it works with no problems to speak of. but I have been reading a lot about QAM, ATSC, and digital stuff. I have a HVR-1600 and always wondered what goes to it's digital side? and what do these terms mean.

my service is basic cable, and comes in @480. I know my provider offers digital, but nothing that says HD. is digital/qam/atsc automatically HD or can it be 480 as well?
also do the antennas marked for digital over the air hdtv ready, do they tune 720 right over the air? (I'm surrounded by local tv towers) and is this antenna only for my digital tuner?

Sorry if these questions are basic, I've been reading through the forums a lot, and just can't get a grasp on what you guys are talking about. Especially qam, that seems the most complicated...
