This looks like a very promising compromise for audio normalizing on the HTPC. Knowing Dolby it might take a little while before we see it in affordable setups, unfortunately.
I've recently noticed you can get complete EPG information via the DVB EPG option in GBPVR. I guess this has something to do with the freeview initiative. I was wondering where the multiday EPG info was coming from on the new TV's, STB's.
If you transcode the files to .avi files, and delete the .mpg files, then view the recordings screen, it should update the database to point to the avi.
Should this work for .ts to .mpg? Because it doesnt on my setup, what does it look for as valid renames?
I would like to see something similar to a request from a couple of months ago regarding deleting something from the video list and having GBPVR return to the same position in the list.
I use the Video Library instead of Recordings because I always change the names of all tv shows that I record to include a number to indicate the season and episode numbers (205 to indicate season 2 episode 5 for example). I haven't explored any of the ways to import the names back into the database to show in recordings because this works fine for me.
I currently have 22 listings in Video Library. If I arrow down to the 15th directory in the list and enter, then decide that I want to select the 16th directory, the list returns to the top again. I then have to arrow down 16 times again to get to the next directory.
Sub replied to Elmo Putney that he would implement something when deleting a video to have it return to the item above or below the deleted one. I don't have a problem deleting, but it is annoying to have to start from the top each time if I am searching through directories looking for a particular show.
Since I am using the Video Library differently than what it seems it was intended for, perhaps I am the only one that has this wish.
Is there a better way to do this? Any ideas would be appreciated.
when trying to get details of a movie. I was logging into Netflix from Firefox, but apparently your plugin uses IE in some manner, because once I logged into Netflix from IE, the error msg went away. Might want to stick this in Troubleshooting thread.

Just a question that may be obvious to you but not to me.
When installing the patches, the TSreader and the native utilities, I take it the files (.ax and the .dll files) need to be placed in the system32 directory and then registered? Is there any other files that need deregistering? (those these may be replacing?)
I have replaced the config.exe file to get my channel search working but would like to apply these other patches as well.

I'm trying out this software for the first time. I was trying to use the tuning assistant to tune in the channels, but it will not connect with the Leadtek TV2000 XP tuner card I have installed. WHen I try to select it, it says it can't find the crossbar, but whatever purpose that has, I know it was installed. I even uninstalled, and reinstalled the TV tuner card software. Can someone please help? I only have a 7 day trial for schedules direct, and have wasted 2 days already. thanks.
I'm using for a very long time GB-PVR now. And I really like it.
But lately I've had allot of codec problems.
With those *****-mkv files.
I used to play them with FFDshow, but 720p files didn't want to play smoothly.
so I've bought me another codoc, CoreAVC.
Now I finally have me a nice configuration: But sub's won't load in GBPVR.

I was thinking about getting HD digital cable and was wondering if they make HDMI capture cards. I know my old digital cable i could just use an IR blaster to run the cable box and then i could pick up the results out of the box. If they made an HDMI capture card then i could pickup whatver was coming out of my cable box in HD, anyone have any ideas thoughts or leads on sucj a device?
Hi all I have a problem with my Hauppauge pvr 150 all I get is channel 7 (and its a poor picture) on all of the channels. In trying to fix this problem I went to their web sight and downloaded the newest drivers (hauppauge_cd_3.4d1) followed all of the instructions on installing them and still no other channels besides CH 7 (rescanned for the channels ) I checked the cable with a tv and it was able to get all of the channels real good.Any input would be appreciated Has the card up and died ? thx
