Hi, first of all, I'm new to GB-PVR and new to these forums, so I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong forum or anything like that. Also please forgive my lack of familiarity with the software. I'm trying to get GB-PVR to work with the Hauppauge HD PVR. Here's what I've done so far:
-- Opened up the GBPVR Config program
-- Went to the "Capture Sources" tab
-- Clicked on "Add"
-- In the Create Capture Source window, selected "Analog High-Def Recording Plugin"
-- Added a channel (232) just for testing
-- Opened up PVRX2 and went to "TV Guide"
-- Attempted to watch channel 232, but PVRX2 just gives me a black screen.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other configuration I need to do? :confused: By the way, the Hauppauge HD PVR hardware seems to be working fine; when I used it with the software that came with it, it was able to record. Let me know if there's any other information I can give that would help.
I am trying to play my DVD iso files but the screen just stays black after selecting a movie. I see that the iso file is not actually mounted. Here is what I have:
For GBPVR under DVD tab:

Under Daemon tools I have:

Autostart tray icon: checked
Automount: unchecked (I also tried it checked)

I tried both using a movie that is on a local HD as well as one on my Windows Home Server.
Ok here is my problem. I have been using GB-PVR for awhile now and thought I was pretty good at setting everything up. Last night I put my new machine together ans installed GBPVR10307 along with all the required files. When I try to start PVRX2 I get the error message "Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video renderer". I can watch TV in Overlay mode but all the VMR9 modes give me that message. I can also watch in EVR but it is very slow and jerky. Inclosed are my logs.

Hi, I don't know much about video capture cards. I have a Dell Angel USB Tuner and I am trying to find a program (besides Windows Media Center) that I can use with it. If there is anyone who can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
I had GBPVR working with PH using Simese and it was working well. Turned the PH on last night and when trying to connect I get the message "mount mounting \\192.168.1.1' which is my router address. Everything else seems to be working fine with the exception of connecting to GBPVR.
I asked if a guilty party was involved but I don't think anyone did anything.
EDIT: when I keep trying the same thing over and over (the definition of insanity) I get 'mkdir: cannont create director" (they can't spell either)
I run my PVR desktop in the large 120 DPI font size. I have 2 capture cards, and with this font size setting the Recording Status window is too small to hold the panel (the status of the second capture card is printed off the bottom of the window, and so invisible). The window is not resizable so there is no way to see the second status line.
OK. Having issue with recordings not transcoding. I went in to look at the settings in the config.xml and tried them manually from the command line. It wasn't working with the default settings. I've played around and found some ffmpeg settings I like and added them to the config.xml, however, it's still not doing the trancoding. Logs attached....

I tried installing graphedit per instructions in the Wiki, but couldn't figure out how to start the program. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi all,
I am trying to run the GBPVR with my AverMedia A16D Hybrid Tuner (The analog part). I added a section to the direct.ini file. The Tuning Assistant can find the channels, but I see no picture nor sound in the Live TV.
I use the Hauppauge remote sensor hooked to the hvr3000, but here seems to be a bunch on commands on my samsung that use similar codes.
Anything I can do about this?? the main painful one if the volume up seems to put the pvr into timeshift, or tries to shift back (ctrl-right) or something like that.
