I recently bought a Diablotek (NVidia) 6800GS 256MB AGP card for my AGP motherboard. I am testing the card and I find that when I try using VMR9 playback of live tv in GBPVR, I get tearing and ruffles in the video image. I just want to determine if there is a problem with my new video card. Can anyone tell me where I can find a VMR9 test file that I can download to try playing back with either GBPVR or Windows Media Player in XP to see if the video card is working properly.

I took a stab at reworking the plugins menu on the wiki. I took best guess efforts on placing plugins in certain categories. If anyone (plugin authors esp.) feels there are errors in this approach, or would like new or different groupings, please make suitable changes or make suggestions.

I just have antenna and use it to pick up Canadian shows on analog and DTV US channels.

I have a PVR-500 which works fine. Both tuners are set up with the same two channels (for testing) and I can record two shows at the same time just fine.

Then I added a HVR-2250 and no matter how I configure this card...if it is configured at all in GBPVR, I can no longer record two analog channels simultaneously. I have tried setting it up as: two digital tuners; two digital & two analog; and also just as two analog tuners. The PVR-500 is also always there as two analog tuners.

I have also tried configure just the HVR-2250 itself an can't get it to record two shows at the same time in either digital or analog.

I only set up a couple analog channels. Both PVR-500 tuners are setup with only 2 channels (the same). Also when I configured the HVR-2250 I set it up with 2 ASTC channels (both tuners the same) and the same two analog channels as the PVR-500.

I don't have any EPG set up. They are all currently set to none.

Thoughts?

Basically I can't seem to correctly configure the HVR-2250 on its own and adding the HVR-2250 seems to break the setup of the PVR-500. I'm using 1.3.7

Just done this:
Cloned my D drive (recordings) to an eSATA disk using Acronis TrueImage,
Swap the disks - cloned new disk becomes the internal D drive;
Run PVRX2 - no recordings!

All the recordings are present and correct on the new hard disk which is an exact copy and the same drive letter as the old one, it just has 500GB more space.

So PVRX2 has lost contact with the recordings folder. Why?

I can swap the old disk back in (hassle - lots of screws etc), dump the recordings, swap them over again, import the recordings,. That's a pain - is there something I can do to get them back?

I'm having video quality issues (viewing on LCD monitor) when recording TV shows. These are very big files, but the quality is not what I would like. Part of it is signal, and I can work on that. The other - major - part is what appears to be due to interlacing. Looks very similar to what Handbrake shows in their guide with the horizontal lines during motion.

The question is, then, if it is interlacing--how is this being introduced and how to fix it? Or, if it could be something else, then what? I will appreciate any and all input.

I have not figured out how to display the subtitles, I guess they are called closed captioning on television shows, when playing back recorded TV or during live TV watching when using GBPVR on my PCH A110.

1) Anyone know how to do this?

Note: I am recording/viewing analog cable TV using an HVR2250. Shows are stored as mpeg2 files by default.

2) Anyone know how to get the EPG listings to show up while watching live TV on the PCH. I can do it using GBPVR on my PC but haven't figured out how to turn it on using GBPVR on PCH?

Anyone having problems using mouse controls on the latest version of GBPVR? The little submenu pops-up, but I can click on any of the buttons. It does nothing. Anyone have any ideas? I couldn't find anything in the forums...Thanks!

In part III of the guide you say:

"An optional advanced configuration is to edit gbpvr.cgi to the one line you will use, and if desired type it into the Source screen so that is stored in flash for easiest access. For example I hit Source Source 3 to get to GB-PVR anytime from the NMT menu."

Which lines are you referring to?

Also, when you say type it into the source screen what are you saying we should type? I did not quite understand this part, sorry for my noobness.

Hi there

When playing a xvid on pc, vobsub works fine i PVRX2.
But when using the same movie in MVP there is no subs.
I have not tried subs on MVP before.
Srt viewer is enabled and set to true in config.
The yellow button on remote does nothing.
The IPersistStream error is fixed.
Am i missing something ?

Made an update after two years just for that, so i am a bit rusty, but i couldnt find any in the search.

I just spent a day tearing my hair out trying to get my receiver to get 5ch audio from the cable and PVR HDMI inputs. I played w/ ffdshow & ac3 for 1/2 a day, thinking I was losing my mojo.

Turns out Panasonic's, and many other manufacturers from what I gather, optical out from the TV is 2ch only. The support person I spoke to didn't understand why, either.

I ended up putting the optical from the PVR into the receiver, and a digital coax from the STB into the receiver. Bam. 5.1 audio.

Just a head's up.
