Anyone tried this yet? Looks like it would do the trick for "archiving" those h.264 HD shows (and it supports LATM for us in NZ). And it has a CLI which should permit automatic transcoding of recordings?
But, when watching live TV, I get no picture and system hangs after about 5 seconds.
I really have no clue what is happeningand would really appreciate some help, logs are attached.
I have no strange plug-ins, rather trying to run a vanilla system.
OK - I reinstalled WinXP SP3 fresh, all patches, .NET, VC runtimes, AC3 filter, WinTV. Fresh install of GBPVR. Appled the CD not stopping playing patch (pvrx2.exe) and the not obeying the LiveTV predelay setting (nativeutilities.dll)
Added one QAM tuner. Did a scan, (amazingly, didn't hang up once) but out of all the channels I can pick up on my Samsung TV, I only got 4 channels to map (and one of them was JewelTV!)
I have about had it with this piece of shit tuner card. I am about to lay into Hauppauge for either my money back or another card - all I have is an expensive, PCI-E analog tuner card!
I am going to do a scan with WinTV to see if I get better luck. Will report back.
The ability to select channels using CTRL and SHIFT - right now, all I can do is enable or disable all. Then I have to go in and press space and down arrow 99 times!
It's time to get serious about getting a qam tuner working as my local cable co just sent a note out that they are adding a couple channels (MyTV and Retro Television Network) and they are moving several channels from the digital premium tier to the digital basic tier (History Channel, Animal Planet, etc.) and currently anything listed on the digital basic tier is available in clear qam so I'm assuming (hoping) that will continue.
I have an HVR-1600 but I'm NOT happy with it. It's entirely too picky on signal strength. I have two cable boxes and a cable modem running off my cable with zero issues. I can even split a feed to a cable box and run a TV with a qam tuner in it and it has zero issues, but the HVR-1600 wont hookup reliably even when fed directly from the cable co input. I can hookup a BIG amplifier and it helps, but even then not all are error free. Doing some net research both here and on other forums and I've found MANY have the same issues with the HVR-1600 - it just seems to have a dud for a qam tuner in it.
The HVR-1800 seems to be better, but I haven't read much on it so I'm not overly confident with it yet.
What qam tuners are people in the US using with good success? If you've got one that you just popped in and it worked please speak up! I'm sure many of us would like to know!
Many channel reassignments coming over the next couple of days,
When rescanning a digital tuner the scan cache and existing channels are added to the channel source drop down.
How can we clear this list so it only shows what it has found on the scan and nothing else.
Could we also have the frequency the channel is on since at the moment there are duplicate channels and these show up twice with no indication of what the difference is.

I had problem to install 1.3.7. The error message is "The microsoft MPEG-2 Demultiplexer does not seem to be available on your machine. Don't ignore this error, BDA support will not work with out it". I ran MuxChecker tool and it showed that ATI MPEG Multiplexer was installed. Can anyone help me? I'm using Hauppauge 1600 and Hauppauge WinTV works. I'm attaching two screen shots here.

I've been having a long running battle with my personal website host over the availability of my website. Standard html pages are fine but for long periods of up to a day navigating to a PmWiki based page results in the error below:

I don't know enough about PmWiki, IIS, website hosting to be able to argue with them. Surely running a PmWiki isntallation with a very low number users (myself and family only), would not require a dedicated host. What does "The FastCGI pool queue is full" actually mean and it it script or server that is at fault?
