I had all the popcorns working fantastic.
But just 2 days ago GBPVR comes up on the popcorn screen for about 1 second and then shuts down. I did add some burning software to the computer which wanted to install ffdshow but I did not think that would affect it. I have attached the logs and the config file

I have a Dish500+ (119,110,118.8) with DishPro LNBs going through a DP34 to a dishpro reciver(power) and a Twinhan 1020a BDA 1.2.3.8. I believe these lnbs are "bandstacked." does the current version of GBPVR (1.3.7) support this type of configuration? I tried scanning, but it seems that in the scan it tries to scan each freq for 1 second and the moves on to the next freq; in the end finding no chnls (erroring out as well). I have dvbdream installed as well, and everything works fine in there. However in dvbdream i send raw Diseqc for the sats: 119=E0 10 38 F0. 110=E0 10 38 F4 E0 11 38 F4. 118=E0 10 38 F0 E0 11 38 F0.
I've been trying to get a Server/Client setup going because i want to setup a client in a different room to connect to this setup.
My question is if this type of configuation is supported by GBPVR?
and if so why can't i scan the tp's? did I misconfigured something?
I've tried the LNBF:
LOF1=11250, LOF2=11250, LOFSW=0
LOF1=11250, LOF2=14350, LOFSW=0
LOF1=11250, LOF2=14350, LOFSW=11700 (I think this is the correct one)
but none of these setting will work.
Ok... Hopefully someone can get this to work for me. I'm pretty talented at networking (I'm a network engineer!) but for some reason I'm getting nowhere with this.
Basic info
-100Mbit wired network, lots of clients
-Windows Server 2003 with proxy server (no GBPVR, its handing out DHCP addresses, no Active Directory or anything, shouldn't affect what I'm doing)
-Windows XP box running GB-PVR as server in living room (has been working great for 2 years, just installed latest release)
-Windows 2000 laptop client I'd like to get set up for GBPVR, Pentium III 800Mhz. (I know its slow but it can watch video fine over the network using a share directory for recordings outside of GBPVR)
-Windows Vista x64 AMD64 5600+ client I'd like to get set up for GBPVR (Nice fast computer my main one)
-Windows XP Pro Pentium 4 1.8Ghz client it'd like to get set up for GBPVR (Decent machine).
- Windows Firewall disabled on all clients (using security features on proxy server)
- Share for recordings and stream buffer shared as mapped network drive, access tested and OK for full control

Ok I tried initially to get the GB-PVR client set up on the laptop because my girlfriend seems to enjoy watching TV on the laptop in bed more than in the living room for kicks. Got a bit frustrated as I just couldn't get it working.
So I tried on my main machine (thinking it could be horsepower, DirectX or wireless network) and am getting the exact same problems.
The recording service on the client is connected, it is showing what the server is currently recording while it's recording it and shows green. (NO TV cards on anything but the GB-PVR server).
Launching PVRX2 is where problems begin.
- No list of recordings
- No program guide (actually shows a bunch of stuff like @showTitleSubtitle , @duration, and empty program guide altogether, then flips to a black screen)
- Upon waiting and waiting for the EPG (dox says it may take a while to load the EPG), eventually it returns to the main menu
- Live TV shows a black screen that ends in nothing.
I am monitoring IP traffic out of the client and notice that there is no traffic while it's waiting for live TV or the EPG (well, 250 bytes/sec but thats nothing).
All machines are listed in the same workgroup (2003 server is not running a domain). I can share the files fine and communicate with the server, I can ping it by computer name so I assume GB-PVR can communicate to it by machine name as well.

Common wisdom would assume that I have the settings correct if the Recording Status on the client is pulling the right capture card and program that it's recording, it's obviously connecting to the server; that info isn't stored anywhere on the client.
So what is the deal with when I launch the PVRX2 and nothing works? I must be missing something here, maybe you guys who have it working have learned a few tricks of the trade? Some obscure setting on the server I must have wrong, or to check?
And again, Windows Firewall is disabled across the board. I double checked. Permissions are OK as well, I just set it to Everyone full control and set it all to pass down to child objects across the whole gbpvr directory. I've been using a mapped drive to watch MPEG recordings manually for quite some time and have been deleting old shows as well, I did a test in the gbpvr dir to make sure I could create a text file, modify it and delete it so permission should be good.
Does GBPVR recognize multiple tuners when identifying scheduling conflicts. In other words with 2 tuners it would identify a conflict if 3 programs were selected for the same time slot. With 3 tuners it would identify a conflict with 4 programs selected, etc.
Or, do I select a program to record and also the tuner to use?
I have not been able to find this problem on any other threads. If I missed it I apologize for asking again.
I am using a PVR-500 card in a new (to me) computer running XP SP3. I have also used it in another computer running the same OS and have had the same problem.
When I set up my tuners in the config application, naming them tuner 1 and tuner 2, they work fine. If I check the recording status it reports acurately that the two Capture Sources are sleeping, recording, etc. Everything works fine.
When I reboot the computer, recordings fail and if I try to watch Live TV it kicks me back to the main menu. If I check Recording Status it shows that I have eight capture sources all named tuner 1. I then have to go into config, delete the two tuners, set them up again, re-schedule recordings and it works fine until I reboot and it starts all over again.
HBO Canada recently changed from channel (?) to 202. When I look at channel 202 in the Guide, I see no show details and still see the old channel name of "MMORE". Also, when I select a show that's on this channel to record, it shows up in the "Conflicts" screen, but the only options I have are "Close" & "Delete". (No "Resolve" button). How do I get HBOCAN to show up on it's new channel? I confirmed on SchedulesDirect.org that 202 is now HBOCAN and I tried emptying and updating the EPG, but still no luck getting it changed in GBPVR.
I have a batch file set up in my Scheduled Tasks that updates my EPG every day. I've had a lot of problems in the past with the download failing, so I set up the batch file to retry every 10 minutes until it successfully downloads. The problem is that some times yapi2xml.exe will give a run-time error, and the error box will stay up until someone presses "OK", which defeats the purpose of having an automated batch file.
It would be nice to track down the source of the error, but more importantly, does anyone know how I could suppress this error box so my batch file can keep running until it's successful?
