I'm liking I-xmltv but have noticed that whenever there is a channel without any guide info, I simply get 'Zap2it' in the guide area. If I click on the program to find out more about it, I just get 'no messages from Zap2it today'. Some of these are national programs such as Insider (nope, don't watch it ) but I wonder why that is. Others seem to be very late at night are look to be infomercials.
This is not a complaint but a curiousity question and one wondering if I didn't set it up correctly.

I just got a 1600, and got it working so far. Multi record is very nice all my locals are on the same channel :o. What comskip is everybody using for QAM? comskip79_121 and comskip79_144 are worse than analog with bad snow seems to be early on cuts.

i have 2 computers running gbpvr, i have one thats working using the hdd of the pch as the recording directory.the other one is showing user name troubles in the logs and wont record to the drive ive both computers recording service running as admin.setting service to run as admin was the trick to get the one working but the other still wont work. both are xp computers the one that wont work happens to be mce2005 dont kow if it matters. simple sharing is on on both. i also notice on the one that wont work when i try to browse the pch hdd im always prompted for the user name pass and on the one that works i dont have to enter it. any help appreciated.

Installation instructions seem long and a little complex - esp the sevice relatd stuff. Ever considered anusing an installer?

I've tweaked the layout of the 3 default plugins (Vid, Music, Pic). I've tried to make them more uniform and appear wider on a 4:3 screen. But given my uncertainty with XML's, I'd appreciate opinions both aesthetically and technically please.

I'm setting up ZProcess to read an aspects file to help decide some cropping...

I have many shows that are 4x3 but the program is letterboxed. I want to crop the 4x3 letterbox to 16:9.

After activating the output_aspect=1 I get aspects files.

How can I determine the main aspect ratio for the main program, not commercials.

Maybe comskip does not already detect letterbox inside a 4x3...

I like the
Hauppauge HD PVR High Definition Personal Video Recorder 1212
but it doesnt look like it can really do SD.
Giving away this computer and making a new one and dont really have room for a tuner card, but still want to run a PVR.
So if anyone has any stories feel free to share.

And to clarify, im curious if the 1212 can do SD,because id rather just get that, and swap my SD cable box extra for a HD extra, at no charge.

I can watch clear QAM channels with WinTV. I was able to "map digital channel to EPG channels" in the setup. Analog channels are fine but there is no video nor audio when I tried to watch clear QAM channels. I'm attaching the log here. Can anyone help? I have purevideo codec installed. I tried all codecs in playback tab in the setup but none of them worked.

My GB-PVR 1.3.7 was working fine, now I can not see any stations. When I go to config and try to do a scan I get the "unable to start BDA device"

I am using hdhomerun and with the homerun config I get many stations and can see them with VLC

Something got screwed up and I can not find the problem.

I just installed an HVR-850 today and I am having difficulty getting it configured.

After reading several posts, I added the following to the bda.ini

I tried digital mapping after selecting each of these and got the no device found message. I ran filter check and it said it found an HVR-950. I tried to set it as an HVR-950 and run digital mapping also with no success.
