version 1.2.9 - when I select a tv show to "watch" from the guide it takes about 30 seconds to pull up the channel. Similarly, if I select "Live TV" it takes about the same amount of time to pull up a channel.
This is a recent change, as it did not hesitate so long before. Channel changing is also slower than normal, but more like 10 - 15 seconds between channels.
I also have watch hdtv.exe on my computer, it changes channels faster and pulls up channels quickly - this leads me to believe my issue is in GBPVR and not with the tuner.
An alternative to the Standard Screensaver which can display album art, music information, pictures of your choice, or just the time if you so choose plus heaps more. There are seventy two (yes thatâs right 72) different views to choose from (24 âsmall textâ, 24 ânormal textâ & 24 âlarge textâ views) ranging from just displaying the âDay, Date, Timeâ while not playing any music through to displaying all sorts of music information while playing music. You can also have a picture slide show either random or in order displaying pictures from folders/directories of your choice either random or in order (while playing or not playing music). And itâs fun⦠Not to mention the incredible WAF (wife approval factor) that seems to go with it.

To be honest there are so many things we just can't remember them all......for those of you that "have tried/use" the first Beta version it is worth having a look/upgrading to this version, for those of you that haven't tried it we would highly recommend you give it a try even if only (like us) you would prefer to have the "Day - Date - Time" for your standard screen saver. (it's easy to un-install if you don't like it)

Not sure iam explaing myself correctly.
I have 3 HAUPPAUGE capture cards. two 1600 and one older 150. I have standard analog cable and want to connect antenna to one of the 1600 cards as they have digital tuners. So i will have one 1600 and the 150 connected to analog cable TV and one 1600 to an antenna so i can get digital TV on that card. I will then need a seperate EPG to get channel info for the 1600 connected to antenna.
So what happens when i go into GBPVR and go to the TV guide.
Does it just add the digital stations to the TV guide?
Does it indicate which are the digital channels?
When i set it to record one of the digital channels will GBPVR know which 1600 card to use? I of course will setup one of the 1600 to antenna in the setup in GBPVR.
Then lets say i just want to whatch a digital channel in LIVE TV mode. Will GBPVR know which capture card to use?
Whole reason for this is i want to finnaly upgrade to a new LCD TV which is the HD wide fornat kind so since i dont want to pay cable company for digital (alot more $$) i figure i can get HD TV for free over an antenna. Still want analog cable for cable channels i like to whatch. Freind says over tha air HDTV comes in crystal clear for him.
It seems that when "Config/Playback/PVRX2.exe Video Renderer/Video Renderer" is set to "VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive" that PVRX2 does not obey the config.xml tag <RestartAfterPowerup>false</RestartAfterPowerup>. It restarts anyway causing the error described in the above thread.
I'm surprised that I seem to be the only one with this problem.
When I stop a movie, or when it ends, I can't return to the menu. Instead, the screen is black with the words "Transition:Stopped" (or something like that) in the center of the screen. I have to connect a keyboard and press escape to restore operation.
Also, are the pause or skip keys on the remote supposed to work while watching a movie? Mine don't.
I love the plugin, but I can't show it to the wife until I solve this.
Up till now i've actually been using Mediaportal, but I'm wondering whether to give GBPvr another go (I looked at it once before but before I got my sat cards).
Looking in some threads comparing the two I saw references to not being able to record two things at the same time - is this correct? Even if I have two tuner cards?
What am I likely to miss from Mediaportal that isn't in GBPVR? The reason I ask is I'm having issues at the moment with MP's TV Server service. It seems to be hanging and missing recordings on a bit of a regular basis, and the powers that be (wife) are getting frustrated. I'm sure it's fixable but wondering whether a switch of software is worth a go...
I have been running GBPVR for some time now on an old PC as a free-view recorder and have been very happy with it. So now I am considering building it into an MSI Media Live box. Has anyone had any experience with this system and have any useful comments.

I managed to setup 6 analogue tuners in my pc (2 x 2200, 1 x 500). however i have a strange problem, that it allows me to record 5 shows simultaneously. the 6th show will show me as a conflict. I was sure I did not repeat the same program for recording.
I have a total of 8 analogue channels set up:
RTM1 3 True
Ch5 Singapore 5 True
Ch8 Singapore 8 True
Suria 12 True
Channel U 23 True
Vasantham 24 True
okto 25 True
CNA 30 True
In manual recording mode, I found that using the FORWARD arrow key to search the channel on the keyboard, it returned only 7 channels. Last channel CNA is missing.
But when i used the BACKWARD arrow key, all 8 channels showed up.
I wonder if the last recording which reported a conflict has in anyway to do with the missing channel above?
