My current video card is a ASUS ATI 9600xt. It seems to be darker and has a cloudiness to it. Any quick suggestions besides drivers and actual card adjustments? It's not the TV as I can get a better picture with my old card but GBPVR does not support it. I'll probably pick a cheap AGP card if I can't get the pic quality I am looking for. Is Directx9 a requirement for GBPVR or can I get away with Directx 8? Thanks for any info
I have set up an HVR-2250 in the same GBPVR system with two older PCI PVR-250's and want to use all three cards. I am using the white-box HVR-2250 with no remote included. Thus I would like to continue to use the remote hardware and sensor with the PVR-250 to control GBPVR.
Since setting up the 2250, I cannot get the remote sensor to fire up on either of the PVR-250's - the IR tray application will not start thus the system is not receiving remote commands.
It appears some sort of conflict exists between the new HVR-2250 drivers and the PVR-250 infrared drivers which prevents the IR applications supporting the 250 from working. The tuners on the cards work fine, though.
I have tried hcwclear.exe to reinstall my devices in a different order (HVR-2250 first vs. PVR-250 first). No luck.
I managed to setup 6 analogue tuners in my pc (2 x 2200, 1 x 500). however i have a strange problem, that it allows me to record 5 shows simultaneously. the 6th show will show me as a conflict. I was sure I did not repeat the same program for recording.
I have a total of 8 analogue channels set up:
RTM1 3 True
Ch5 Singapore 5 True
Ch8 Singapore 8 True
Suria 12 True
Channel U 23 True
Vasantham 24 True
okto 25 True
CNA 30 True
In manual recording mode, I found that using the FORWARD arrow key to search the channel on the keyboard, it returned only 7 channels. Last channel CNA is missing.
But when i used the BACKWARD arrow key, all 8 channels showed up.
I wonder if the last recording which reported a conflict has in anyway to do with the missing channel above?

Ok, I found the root problem for the 6th card not recording - because I did not set the device # of the 3rd tuner correctly. now all 6 cards are recording
however, the problem of the missing channel remains in manual recording mode - when toggling between channels using the keyboard arrow keys, forward key still did not show the channel (CNA), while the back arrow key is able to show all channels. any ideas Gurus?

I have been running my system for a number of months and it works great. Thanks for a great product sub.
The only thing that I can't get sorted fully is the sound, I would like it, that when it's playing a 2 channel source (recorded TV and music) its gets mixed upto 5.1.
My MBoard has Realtek HD Audio.
The settings I currently use are

I assume its the decoder that would do the mixing up (as renderer doesn't seem to have any settings), but I can't find the holy grail of a mix 2 channel up switch.
Has anyone got non 5.1 sound playing out of 5.1 rear speakers?.
If so what Decoder/Renderer/MBoard do you have or is it that I have missed the setting in AC3Filter or Cyberlink?
Firstly I haven't posted logs because there's quite a lot of them but I have them rar'ed up ready if needed.
I came downstairs this morning to be confronted with lots of windows error...a bit of digging soon revealed that C:/temp was brimming with big TS files that had been generated yesterday evening.
Wife has been a bit ill yesterday so she was watching TV in bed on the MVP, I suspect this maybe crashed (due to my bad signal issues covered elsewhere) and this has caused the temp file to keep filling up.
I think at one point yesterday evening I was watching a program on live TV, recording it on another tuner and Wife was also the same program on the MVP, not that this should cause the crash in itself but my MVP setup is a bit tetchy.
Thanks for the plugin, this is the greatest plugin I have ever used.
I have developed an issue however, right now I am getting an error out and crash when I select download for anything. Could this be server related? I have made no changes at all, it was just working, and now not working.
Any ideas?

Well, it looks like it is now resolved, and I am back to watching this incessantly, thanks for the plugin!
I had to reinstall everithing, because my hard-disk died. Now when I try to map digital channels, "GBPR config" finds only few channels.
I patche windows and with other program I can find all the channels. I'm sure it's a GPVR problem.
I tried to search for othet topic but I dindn't able to find anything of usefull.
Could you advice me? is there a patch?
Alright. I've got an older AMD 3000+ (Asus A8V-E SE board). I've got 1 gig of ram, a ATI x1300 AGP card, a hauppauge WinTV 1600 card, a Creative SB x-FI card, and a promise SATA card. 3 500 Gig Hard disks running Windows Home Server and GBPVR.
I'm using on-board LAN and have all other devices disabled in the BIOS (serial port/printer port, floppy disk etc)
Now temporarily, I can run all of this just fine. Then eventually the network card will conk out and according to device manager there "aren't enough resources for this device, try disabling some other devices blah blah blah". I can disable the soundcard, disable the LAN, re-enable the lan and after a restart, the LAN works, re-enable the soundcard and everything is fine again... for a while.....
I really don't want to use on-board sound, it just does not compare. The board needs the SATA card because it only has 2 on board SATA ports. Finally, I need the x1300 ATI card because Windows Home Server won't boot without a video card (it also is my video out to my TV)
My question is, is there any way to increase the number of resouces available? Seems silly to have a board physically able to support all of this, but not be able to use it all simultaneously.
What are my options? (besides going out and buying a better system that would be able to breeze through this problem and laugh at my current system lol)
