Does anyone have a good working HIP Configuration File for the Hauppauge MCE Remote? This is the PVR150 model 1062. I believe it is a 44 button remote if I counted correctly
I have bought a PCTV HD Stick 801e SE....I bought it from the USA but i live in Romania. In the USA everything was fine,i could receive clearely alot of programmes. In Romania if i receive smth i can see the images clearely ,but there is that awful noise ...i don't have sound, just noise. Both on antenna and Tv cable the images are good , but the noise is awful,it cancels the sound....What shall i do in order to hear the TV shows....
Running 64 bit Vista with GB-PVR-1.2.13. First time installing the software, and i have tried all combinations of Audio Renderer and Audio Decoder that came with the application in the Config. Vista Media Center plays sound correctly so i assume i have the necessary decoders? Although this may not be a good assumption since i am trying to view Clear QAM channels in GB-PVR and I was viewing analog channels in Vista Media Center? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
just wondering if anyone was using the Logitech Harmony One remote with gbpvr? i had the old xbox logitech remote (it had a,b,x,y on the colour buttons) and i didn't like the feel of those buttons (very clicky, and not pushy (errr soft like the MCE remotes)).
the harmony one doesn't have any colour buttons, is this annoying with gbpvr? or does it easily have enough buttons to work with all the functions of gbpvr? (like blue for the osd, red/green/yelllow for some plugins etc)
Are most PC's capable of digital passthrough or only certain motherboards? I have an intel 845 board with the standard earphone 3.5mm jack. I have seen miniplug -> optical adapter cables. If I connect my PC to my receiver with one of these cables will I be able to pass digital from the PC to my receiver? Aside from buying a cable and attempting this, is there a way to know if my mb is spdif capable?
Assuming the mb is not capable, what is least expensive way to gain this capability? My receiver (htib actuall) only supports optical connection.
Also, is all passthrough the same? I.E. do better sound cards or cables pass through a better signal or is it all the same? I thought digital was all the same in pass through, but dependent on the receiver to do its thing. Is that correct?

So it seems that during the storms last week a surge affected my PVR, but this wasn't noticed until 10.15pm
I missed the last episode of outrageous fortune, and have tried to watch on the tv3 website, but it doesn't seem to want to play - I get only the promo video.
Does anyone still have a recording of this episode?

EDIT: fixed. the tv3 streams don't work with IE7 or FF3, using IE6 and it worked fine.
I am having some issues with channel scanning on a Technotrend s2-3200. (see other posts on here) Once I have a channel list I seem to be able to tune to it perfectly well. I am very keen to get this app going, so I dont suppose anyone can supply me with a cache file for a complete channel scan of Astra 2a,2b,2d Eurobird on 28.2.
I'm reloading my machine from Vista Ultimate to XP Pro in a few minutes to try and fix a flicker problem on the tvguide screen and so I can give Nvidea PureVideo a try.
My XP Pro disc is SP2, should I leave it there or upgrade to SP3?
Would Vista Business properly support GBPVR since it doesn't include the MCE features? Are other required media components missing (EVR, decoders, etc)?
Also, would Vista (either Business or Home Premium) run GBPVR OK on a dedicated PVR box with 2G memory? In Home Premium, I wouldn't use the Aero interface, if that makes a difference.
Any thoughts or experience with slimming it down with vlite?
I did some searching on the web, and it appears that the KWORLD ATSC-110 does support QAM. I am trying to use it with Comcast's digital HD channels, but I can't get it to find any of the channels. I can find channels OTA, but not over cable. Any help? Are there any logs I should post?
