Whoops, I took the bite and upgraded from 0.99.5 to 1.2.13. But now I look and find VideoArchive is no longer around. Is it gone forever? Any alternatives?

two hvr-1600's, using the digital QAM tuners on both
In the past both tuners worked fine, but now the second one doesn't work. So, if I'm only recording one show, I'm fine, but if I record two, it tries, but the second recording is empty. Also, live TV doesn't work, since it defaults to the 2nd tuner.
I had this happen once before, and rebooting seemed to fix it, but that didn't work this time.
I don't think it's a hardware problem, but I can't be sure. If I go to config, then try to map channels on the second tuner, it shows programming, so it seems to be working and getting a signal. If there's a better way to diagnose the hardware, let me know.
I attached logs, this is restarting the gbpvr service, then starting pvrx2, going to guide, and trying to watch a show live. Nothing happens (just a blank screen), so I exit live TV, then exit pvrx2.
Any guidance? I can try creating a log where I record two shows simultaneously, if that helps.
I've just reinstalled gbpvr and for some reason it recorded as dvr-ms files insted of normal avi or mpg, I've fiddled with some settings and now I've recorded TV, it says it's there, but there's NO file, there's a folder and some small (k) files, but no video, please help!!!
I think it would be great if GBPVR were able to record shows to various folders. In other words, I would like to be able to specify two or more folders to record to in the config program and then when I go to select the show to record from the EPG , I can select the folder to record to from a drop down or use a check box/radio button. I record grown up shows to a "recorded TV" folder and then watch them from an xbox. Problem is that the shows we record for the kids are in the same directory. I dont want them to see something they do not need to see. If I could specify a different location to record the show to using the EPG, then I would not have to go copy them to the other directory every day. I love GBPVR though. It has made our lives easy and allowed me to more closely control what my kids watch. Thanks for all your work. What do you thing about this suggestion?
I've been using GBPVR to record shows and watch later and it works great! Pausing, fast forwarding, rewinding, all work great on recorded shows, which is what I'm watching 90% of the time so I consider the hardware I bought so I could run GBPVR very much worth the investment.
I've had less success time shifting live TV. It works, but if I do it enough or over a long enough period of time it eventually crashes. Also, just changing the channel too often will eventually crash PVRX2 on my system. Moving to/from analog to HD is particularly prone to crashing. I also have to pause live TV before I can rewind it, no matter how long I've been tuned to the station. This is different than cable company DVR's I've seen that are always recording whatever is playing live so that you can do a instant replay or rewind if you want. (is this a feature thats in GBPVR that I've just not turned on?) For these reasons I still use the TV's built in tuner to channel surf.
So, to sum up my pointless post; I love the recording features, but the 'watching live tv' features don't work so well for me. Anyone else having better luck? A better question would be, anyone got it working so well that you watch TV exclusively through GBPVR?
how would you expect the nvidia codec to perform relative to mpv codec?
anyone know generally how the codecs you pay for compare to the free codecs?

When I schedule a recording on 'BBC One NI' it creates a 2k video file and crashes my mvp when I try to open it.
I recently moved my gb-pvr setup to a Windows Server 2003 based machine. I never had problems with BBC channels before using the same freeview card/aerial but I did also have problems getting the dvb epg update to pick up details for a few of the BBC channels after the move to 2003.
I guess it is something to do with the frequency the BBC channels are coming out on but I am no expert on these matters.
For some reason when I use zap2xml to download my tv listings and icons, my icons are all corrupt. When I went to the site to check out a couple of the images they appeared in my web browser just fine. I've tried to spider the images but have no access to the folder that the images are kept in. Any ideas out there?
Other than this slight annoyance, Its really a decent program.
I've been using GBPVR for six months with Freeview in NZ on an AverTV card with no issues. Recently my video card on my computer died and I have now replaced it with a 9800 GTX+ (from a 8800 GTS 320). Now whenever I try to view a channel I get the audio perfectly, but no video. It's a completely black screen (but it does show the overlay with the program information).
I have tried reinstalling GB PVR, and Power DVD 7.3, but neither have fixed it. Also, the TV works fine in the AverTV program, however that has tearing issues with the video (and always has). Updated graphics card drivers were installed with the new video card.
