I live in area which does not have DST (no day light savings). Unfortunately my EPG is a mixture of DST and non DST times. How does GB interpret timezones in the XMLTV to generate the EPG. Does it intepret the GMT value only and/or does it also recognise the time zone data +xxxx adjustment data +xx?
I get an error when running this plugin which pops up on the screen saying that there are "No download streams available" when I hit the download button. I have the most recent GBPVR on winXP with the netflix 1.0.2.4 plugin. Netflix works fine through IE. Any ideas? Here is the section from the log file:
Rather than having cancel all recordings and then re-create them on the new channels, is there a way to remap the channels the recordings are running on. I have already fixed the channel mappings in the capture source tab (only way I found was to delete the sources and then re-create them, which REALLY SUCKED).
I am very close to getting GBPVR to work and am excited to use it as a PVR. But I'm having problems with HDTV. When I try to watch live tv or a recorded show (via gbpvr or windows media player), all I get is a blank screen. I can hear the audio, but no video. I have tried using the nVidia purevideo codec and a a sonic cineplayer codec and they give me the same results. What I did find is, if I turn off hardware acceleration, everything works, but my CPU usage is 100% and there's stuttering. Can anyone help me to get hardware acceleration to work? Or, can someone tell me how I can get the VLC codecs to work? Because if I play the recorded video with VLC, I only use 80% cpu - which will be good enough for me. Or, if anyone can suggest an mpeg2 codec that uses the least amount of processor power, that would work too.
My computer has an ATI 650 capture card with an nVidia 6800GS video card. It's old school, but I'm hoping to breath new life into this old machine. Could it be that the ATI and nVidia are fighting with eachother? :p
I've picked up my old StartGBPVR, as updated by daphatty and others (thanks guys for updating it for PVRX2) and given it a few tweaks.
Briefly, this app keeps PVRX2 in the foreground so Windows pop-ups and other apps and messages don't stop dedicated media PCs from being used as intended.
What's new:
1. You can now configure the delay before PVRX2 gets the focus - check out the tray icon
2. The app will now not switch focus to PVRX2 while the mouse is being used so you can work on the PC without having to kill or pause the script.
3. Fixed one minor bug
4. I've bumped the version number to 1.6
I'll get around to updating the wiki sometime soon - the original entry explains in more detail the purpose of the app. Note that StartPVRX2 is compatible with the latest version of PVRX2 (1.2.13 at the time of writing).
I'm try to use Windows Media Encoder to convert a record show from .mpg to .wmv. If I'm understanding correctly GB-PVR only passes file name and channel number.
If I want to automate the conversion of the show by putting the command line for WME into the PostProcessing.bat so that it's the same filename as the source, just with a .wmv, can I just use %1 in both places in the command?
I would like to upgrade my drivers to the current version which are unified drivers that include a built in BDA driver per DVICO. When I tried this GBPVR could not find the card but works fine on older drivers that have a seperate BDA driver. Any way to get GBPVR to work with the new style drivers? I'd like to purchase a Dual PCI Express Fusion 7 card to replace my Fusion 5 card but I think I need to get the unified BDA style drivers working first.
