I am using the wired MVP and am having difficulty playing ripped DVD's on my hard disc. When I go to my server and play the DVD's locally it works fine in GBPVR. When I go to the MVP, select the DVD and try to play it nothing happens. The title just sits there
The DVD does not have any copy protection (old home movies transferred to DVD), Daemon tools lite is installed and configured as per the wiki.
First of all let me just say that as always i appreciate all the work that goes on here and this software rocks. A few months ago i got an HVR 2250 i have it setup and i can play and record but there are some things that puzzle me. I have it set up as 2 tuners one analog and the other QAM. In the edit recording source page (EPG Etc.) there is a list of channels there with check marks beside them. I assumed that you would uncheck the ones on the analog page if you had them mapped in QAM. This however does not seem to work for me. It seems that i get sound on these channels but no video. I did get both when mapping the channels. if i check the boxes in both the analog and QAM i can view the channels but they seem to be in analog as they are a bit fuzzy. I have the QAM setup as the number 1 device. Another thing that seems to be occuring is that when i record these channels they are recording in QAM (although i am not certain. the only way i know to check is by the quality). If someone could tell me whether or not i have this setup correctly first and if so why would this be happening. Thanks in advance
After much work, it appears that the issue is that I am not mapping any channels. I have a Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick.
In the Config - Digital Source Config I have the following 4 options (the first and last appear to be the same)
pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (type 2)
pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate stick
pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate stick (QAM)
pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (type 2)
I have country set as all region and region/transmitter on all channel
I imported an xmltv using the yapi2xml and it populated the channels window with a list of channels with the 'enabled' checkboxes UNCHECKED. I have run the update EPG and that looks good.
Reading earlier posts, I have run the re-register.bat (still with the config window open if that matters.)
I've searched the forums for any mention of something similar but it seems that I'm the first to have this problem.
A couple of times recently I have got home to find my server awake and still recording a show that started several hours/days before hand and should have only lasted on hour or so.
Basically, it started the recording on time but failed to stop at the allotted time and carried on recording until the disk space ran out. Recordings on the other tuner seem unaffected.
I'm at work at the moment so I'll post my logs later on, just thought I'd see if anyone had an idea?
Just hooked up my HD-PVR yesterday, on my Vista x64 HTPC (specs in sig). I got it so that I could stream video from my PS3 and maybe record later on.
Right from the start things didn't look promising.
Connecting my PS3 to the composite input produced a video stream in Arcsoft Capture Module for about 2 minutes, then it went blank. Turning off the HD-PVR and powering it up again brought back video for about the same time period.
Component input did not produce any video, the resolution entry displays the same resolution from the composite input - 720x576. The device options also don't change when component is selected...
I thought maybe GBPVR could give me better results but no luck.
I think it could be because I don't understand how to set it up for streaming video from the PS3. How do TV channels factor in when the connected device is not a reciever?
The Hauppauge HD-PVR is detected by GBPVR in the config, but selecting a channel yields no result.
Doesn't the Arcsoft software come with an H.264 codec? 32 bit codecs work in Vista x64 as long as the app accessing them is 32 bit.
First, I have been a longtime user and love GBPVR/PVRX2.
Second, I noticed something recently (since v1.2.13) and am curious if other have the same experience. After playing *.mp3 files from the music library, I have no audio during follow-on video playback (video playback is fine).
A closing of PVRX2 from the Task manager and subsequent relaunching cures the issue so it isn't a big deal.
I will post logs in the near future. But I was just curious if other users had the same experience.
I am unsure if it affects live tv playback or not. (I don't watch live tv to often:p)
First of all thanks very much for this plug-in, I'm very keen to get it working on my machine but unfortunately am not getting any audio.
Running GB-PVR on Vista with 3 tuners (1 dvb-s and a nova-t-500 dual tuner) connected to my receiver by SPDIF.
Installed the plug-in, downloaded lame.ax from the recommended source and registered it with no apparent problems. The lame.ax encoder shows up in FilterManager.
Started the service and then the plug-in via GB-PVR blue skin, the scan took place and 1 minute later 25 channels appear to have been found. If I select a channel it appears in the 'now playing' field but there is no audio. I've tried different audio renderers and encoders but still get no sound from DVB-T Radio.
Had a read of other threads about no audio but didn't find anything obvious.
The logs and graph are attached in the hope that someone might be able to take a look and spot something amiss!
