Hi,

I am trying to add Jersey UK to the weather plugin. I can add places like Watford, London etc quite easily and all work OK. However, when adding Jersey using accid UKXX0251 or St Helier(the capital) UKXX0431 I just get the downloaading screen. The same happens with its neighbouring island of Guernsey.

The weather forecasts for both Islands are available on MSNBC.

Anybody else had a simliar problem.?

All suggestions appreciated.

Tonight I missed a recording of Heroes due to running out of disk space. I only had a few things recorded, so took a closer look at the Temp folder, and it was full of temporary files from watching live tv. In 'Misc' tab I have Live preview mode set, but do occasionally pause it in order to get instant replay ability. Is this non-automatic deletion a known issue?

I was able to install GBPVR without a problem. When I check the box that says to only recognize capture devices on the machine, GBPVR will not recognize my Skystar 2 card.

I'm using the beta drivers located here :

I've read through the quickstart guide but I'm not sure what to do in order to get the software to recognize my card. BTW, the card IS recognized by the technisat drivers and software application that installed with the drivers.

I'll like to call it "Define DVB-S Source" to match the other naming. Once the page is created, how can I get a wiki account to update the page? I'll use the attached iages as a start. I'll probably need to update these images eventually.

I'd also like to make a few definition updates to the MDAPI section on the Misc2 page.

Lastly, I'd like to use this thread to help me fill in some definitions.

Hello all! New GB-PVR user here.

A friend just loaned (and will hopefully sell) me a PVR-150. It works great with GB-PVR so I just need some help tweaking my auto-conversion profile for my Creative Zen.

My main purpose for using GB-PVR is to record the shows the rest of my family doesn't watch with me and have GB-PVR auto-convert them so I can just copy them to my Zen and watch them.

I've edited the config.xml based upon some Zen ffmpeg settings I found on another forum. I've added a Zen 4:3 option:

I've reviewed the source MPEG recorded and it is perfect start to finish, no a/v synch issues. The auto-convert works great with the above settings and the video and audio quality are great, but after the first couple minutes the audio starts lagging behind the video by about 1/2 to 3/4 a second.

Any ideas? If I can get the a/v synch issue resolved things will be perfect!

It has quickly become apparent that I need to invest in at least one TB HD to hold my HD recordings.

I have the choice of hanging the drive off of my NAS unit as a USB2 drive that will be available via the network or mount the drive locally in the GBPVR server.

I have been recording locally, running VideReDo on the file and then archiving to the NAS.

I was wondering exactly how GBPVR is communicating to the PCH.....I started thinking (scary I know) and I think I may putting extra traffic over the network with the recordings on the NAS.....I am thinking the GBPVR has to read the file from the NAS and then stream it via HTTP to the PCH....thus I have the file coming from the NAS to the server and then an HTTP stream of the file from the server to the PCH.

Is my assumption correct on what is occuring?

I am looking for some input since most often I would be accessing my recordings via the PCH with the GBPVR front-end and want to put the drive in the most efficient location for that model.

Hi I have two Hauppauge 150s installed in my computer. I am having difficulting with channel clairity on one card in particular and I am not sure what could be the cause of this fuzziness. My first guess is that these channels need to be fine-tuned, because the reception is fine on the other card. If fine-tuning is the solution, I am not sure where to adjust it - through GB PVR or through the Win2000 interface.

Can anyone suggest any other solutions to my problem?
If I need to fine tune the channels, how do I do it, taking into account there are two cards?

Is there a thread somwhere here that explains how to use comskip/comclean after a recording and then convert it to .avi-XviD? Can't find it...:confused:

I am somewhat new to pCH but learning fast. Finally got YAMJ working the way I want, although still having issues with Tv series, so i thought I would try GBPVR out to organize my recorded tv.

However, i have not been able to get this to work. There seems to be multiple sets of instructions some of which may be outdated and some are not.

I have just received my PCH 1 week ago and did a network firmware update so I assume I should have the latest PCh firmware.

I first tried the instructions from first post of the sticky tutorial. however, i could never get past the the telnet part of the instructions. I have created a share called mvpmc on MCE machine called vostromce. on telnet.html i changed EditMe to mvpmc. Should I have changed it to vostromce:mvpmc ?
The error message I get is that it hangs at this message:
mounting 192.168.1.20 i

I then tried the ez setup and followed those instructions and when i selected GBPVR on the index.html page, the screen turned black, PCH rebooted and it went back to PCH main screen.

Can someone direct to me which instructions i should use?
