Intelliremote for iPhone/iPod Touch has been released on the Apple Appstore today.
Intelliremote Client for iPhone/iPod Touch is a native iPhone application that allows you to control your home theatre PC running Windows. Since the iPhone uses a network connection it does not need "line-of-sight" like traditional infrared remotes and you can use it anywhere in or out of your house!
The purpose of this program is simple: to allow complete control of your Home Theatre PC from your iPhone with the touch of a finger. While Apple has provided an iPhone remote for ITunes...what about the rest of us that don't use ITunes?
Do you use VLC or MediaPortal to watch videos? Do you use GBPVR, DVBViewer, MediaCenter, XBMC, or SageTV for DVR? Maybe Winamp, MediaMonkey, BSPlayer, or ITunes for music? Control them all from the comfort of your iPhone or iPod Touch!
This is weird. From TVGuide I went in to add a recurring recording but had no luck. I can Quick Record but if I select Record I can't change any options on that window. Can't change Rec type, Quality, Pre or post padding. I can click on each option and I can up and down arrow through each option but I can't change anything. No new options get presented.
The PVRX2.EXE log doesn't show errors. 2013 was the time of one record attempt.
I have searched and re-visited the (out-of-date) wiki to no avail.
I have a working gbpvr setup with two WinTV-PVR-150 MCE capture cards. Remote control is via winlirc and irex with a universal remote. I've been receiving over the air analog signals and I'm ready to make the transition to digital. I've ordered my coupons but now I'm stuck.
To control both digital stbs I figure I need a dual blaster - something like the Double Headed blaster from http://www.irblaster.info/
As I understand it the blaster sends all signals to both heads - so I'm thinking it would change both stbs at the same time - always changing them to the same channel. Am I right or am I missing something?
If I am right how do I prevent that? Buy two different branded stbs that use different codes? Buy some special stb that allows me to choose other codes? Or do I need to buy a different kind of blaster?
Any advice? If I've missed some post or wiki page please point me in the right direction.
I was not able to play my recordings from the CLIENT. After blogging in this forum and spending considerable time sub helped me solve the problem. It was the windows firewall on the SERVER.
I was able to play the recordings on the CLIENT soon after I disabled the firewall on the SERVER.
I would like to enable the firewall on the server but use an exception to manage the connections. To do this I need to know the port# that I must open. Can somebody help me figure out this port#???
If I turn ffshow post processing off my Qam quits working. With ffshow my HD stutters, when I turn it off I get a bank screen a couple short burst of sound then a pvr2 must close message. The stuttering is because there is no HW acceleration with ffshow, when it worked right my HD was perfect. Logs attached.
Hi I've seen a few posts regarding the issue where resuming playback from pause causes problems, but nothing quite fits my situation (I think).
I'm often watching recordings on my PC so using the keyboard. These are dvb-t recordings; I have an hvr2200 dual-tuner hybrid capture card.
If I pause (ctrl-Q) a recording for a few seconds, when I unpause (ctrl-Q) the audio resumes immediately but the picture remains 'frozen'. After 3-4 seconds of audio it stops. If I ctrl-Q to pause again (appears to do nothing - no surprise because it should be going back into pause) then unpause, playback resumes and there's no problem.
I can repeat this pretty much every time - first unpause it fails to resume properly but the second unpause it's ok. I.e I can pause/unpause repeatedly and every alternate unpause it fails to resume properly.
Also from what I recall, when it fails to resume correctly, if I hit ctrl-D (to rewind a little), then it plays from there and continues to play ok.
Another slighly related issue... in my config I have my fastforward step to be 30 seconds. But when I click ctrl-F it only seems to advance 15 seconds... is this somehow related to the situation??
Hi, I have a few PVRX2 issues.
1) I manually recorded a program from C4 (I think at the time either I had no epg or it was expired) and the recording is listed something like "C4_20080828210000". I'd like to rename it to the normal name, but I cannot see how. Also if I can manually rename, will gbpvr automatically group it with the other recordings of the show that I have (i.e the ones that have subsequently been recorded via the tvguide/epg)?
2) I've only had gbpvr for a short while and I made some initial recordings I want to keep. After that early stage I uninstalled/reinstalled. I still have the *.ts files (of those early recordings) but the shows don't appear in gbpvr. Can I somehow import those into gbpvr so I can see them in my recordings (and play them again of course)?
3) I have a show programmed to record for the season. I went into it to watch the latest recording and it was marked as 'Failed' rather than ready. In this case I know why it failed (I'd stopped the recording service to get Sub some logs and I forgot to restart it). But there seems no way to get the info (why it failed) thru the app; i.e if I was to see a failed recording again and I didn't know why it failed, how would I find out the reason (so I can hopefully avoid it in the future)?
It could be nice if you could dbl-click the recording and there was a button 'reason for recording failure' (maybe just spit out the relevant logging, at the very least).
4) Under recordings if I go into "what's new", recordings are listed from most recent to older, descending - very handy. But (as above) if I have a show set to record daily for the season, when I select 'Ready'(?) and see my show there and there are - say - 20 recordings, they are listed from oldest first and I have to scroll right to the bottom to see the most recent. Is there a way to reverse the order? (It'd also be more consistent with the "what's new" list...)
5) Is 'picture in picture' supported? (I have a dual-tuner card.)
I'm at my wits end here. I decided to redo my GB-PVR setup having the presence of mind to clone my old hard drive first.
I did all the normal setup I've always done, installing drivers, codecs, GB-PVR from scratch, configured mc2xml to create my channel guide, and pointed GB-PVR at it. The only flag I've ever used with it is to add new show markers (-a)
It reads the xml file just fine, and all my channels appear just dandy. Except, no show details. None. Updated from both within GB-PVR and the config app multiple times, reboots, everything.
Here's where my wits leaving me start. I copied the guide xml from my cloned drive, the one with the fully working GB-PVR WITH working guide. I get the same darn thing. To me, that's a "known good" xml file leaving me to believe it's GB-PVR at fault.
Either I missed a patch or ... something ... with this reinstall of GB-PVR, but heck if I know WHAT.
Is anyone else unable to remove a recording in process if there are current conflicts, using the current release?
I've seen this a few times now. there will be a recording in process with a conflict. I've love to stop the recording that is going on, but I can't can't the thing if these is a conflict (the TV guide shows orange, or whatever).
Can GBPVR run on Windows Server 2003 and specifically on SBS2003?
Is there a how-to?
Is somebody doing this now? What problems did you have?
I have an array of hardware to use for this, my goal is to have all the services I want in a modern house running from a single machine, hence the desire to have the media centre and email etc on one PC.
