The server next to me just woke up at a few minutes to the hour and fell asleep again shortly after (5 minutes to standby set here).
If a pending recording is cancelled, maybe some days in advance of its date/time, does the "wake up call" list, sent to windows for getting out of standby stay in place?
Does windows remember them all itself from being given a list, of does gbpvr have to set them up each time it comes out of standby.
I use a digital camera that also does video. When I upload from my camera to the PC, all images (jpg) and video(mp4) files are in the same directory. It would be really nice if there was a combined Picture/Video view that would let me pick either to view. Is there a setting somewhere that limits the extension(s) that are filtered in these default plugins that I could set to include both JPG and M)V or MP4 files?
If not, does anyone know of a plugin that does this? (I didn't see one...)
If not, should I be putting this in the suggestions forum or will you read it here Sub and add it to your long list of enhancements?
In the config I can select a channel changer .exe. Why can't I select something else like a .bat or .vbs script? Is it possible somehow? I don't have an .exe, only a vbs to change channels.

Also I have NO Dba Plugin.

Our DVB-T service provider here broadcasts MPEG2-TS streams consisting of h264 video and mpa audio. GBPVR is able to record it OK and muxing only one channel into .ts file. Fine for recordings, but a little bit not so fine when playing it on PC client(s). Some why when playing back this .ts using PVRX2 UI on Pentium-M 1.4GHz laptop, it consumes about 98% CPU and A/V is going out of sync. But when for example remuxing this .ts into .mkv the CPU load on laptop client is about 50..70% and A/V is in sync.
So, question is, how to remux AVC transport stream into avi/mp4/mkv in real time when gbpvr is still recording the show. I guess that this could be done using parallelprocessing.bat and ffmpeg.exe or mencoder.exe, but there are two issues:
a) how to tell gbpvr that right after it has finished .ts recording from DVB-T (or from IPTV), point to remuxed container in gbpvr db?
b) what would be the right syntax for ffmpeg to remux .ts into another supported container (I haven't figured out this yet, as every try I've made I had some errors concerning some mysterious .ts timing errors)

I have server-client setup of GBPVR with three simultaneous PC clients (DVB-T/IPTV server is in garage If you setup a recording entry from one client, it would be extremely nice if some other family member couldn't cancel or erase your recordings from their clients (neither intentionally nor accidentally). GBPVR should check whereas the recording has been initiated from which client and offers only restricted access to other clients.
In my mind the logics could be this: additional tables will be inserted in GBPVR db (ie. "access" and "users") and additional columns with relation to "access" and "users" are added to recordings table. When PC client will be installed, it checks computer hostname and takes it as identificator or generates some uuid from it. When recording is going to be initiated, it adds to "access" a line with uuid which one initiated recording. User could also select from either options a'la "allow everything from everywhere", "allow cancel/delete only from this client and allow play on all", "restrict recording play access to this client only", "hide recording from other clients". When user from second client tries to cancel/delete recording, GBPVR will ask for client password/PIN for this action (checked against from "users" table), if valid one is given it allows deletion if not, it restricts deletion. If play is allowed only from specified client, from second one it will ask again password of the client which one recorded it. If "hide" is selected, GBPVR doesn't list specified recording on no other clients than the original one.
If GBPVR has such features included then wife couldn't cancel (by accident) my Top Gear recordings nor children doesn't see xxx recordings at all
Sub, what you think about these features It doesn't require much work, some db addings, couple new popup windows in recordings panel and one "access validation" procedure to create and call.
Hello! I've changed my GB-PVR setup and moved from standalone-box-system to client-server system (so, I could use about three gbpvr clients).
Yesterday I tried to listen Netradio, but... no audio is playing on clients! :-( On server side Netradio is working, on PC client (file-sharing mode) it connects to web radio, (...buffering...), and thats it (no audio). If you look on server share, the "buffer" file has been created and grows, on server side "netstat -an" shows connection to web radio, but stream doesn't go from server to client gbpvr.
So, is this the bug of current release of GBPVR or my setup is missing something? :-S

I made an interesting observation yesterday when i tested the speed of my internet connection.
I found that when PVRX2 is running the connection speed drops to approx 1 MB/s compared to 6-7 MB/S when PVRX2 is shut down. This speeed seems quite normal and is about the same throughput I get on other computers on my network. Any ideas whar can cause this or how I can further troubleshoot it..
I used a swedish testsite "bredbandskollen.se" to check the throughput.
