I'm using PDVD7 decoder hardware acceleration to playback my H.264 media over my 8600GT card (Forceware 169.21).

It works fine with 1080i but I get dropped frames with 720p. Same problem using PDVD and GBPVR to playback.

Since CPU is not a problem so I'm at a lost as to what else I can do to get 720p working. Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

I'm trying to do a back to back comparison of 2 digital twin tuners (Nova T 500 and Terratec 2400) to see if either is better for channel change speed, quality and effect on MVP stability. Is there an easy way to temporarily turn off one of the tuners without deleting it from the capure sources list?

I tried chnaging the order of the capture sources but config seems to forget the order, this could be another way of doing it if I can fix it.

I haven't had much luck with this..

When I start the dvd, its fine. As time progresses, the sound lags the video. By about 30 minutes, its about 1/4 second behind. I'm using SPDIF out.

I was using PDVD 6, & AC3 decoder.
I have an upgrade to Pdvd 7, so I changed it to PDVD 7, PDVD audio decoder, and PDVD audio renderer. After 30 minutes or so, the audio stops, and syncs up again. But its really bad before the "sync"

Has any one else encountered this, or have any ideas on a fix?

After 3 years with GBPVR, I am not able to make a successful upgrade to PVRX2 and I have decided to start fresh. I do not remember all what I did 3 years ago that made things work, but I had to do a lot of experimentation. This time around I am looking for advice so I do not have to spend as much effort and time.

Here is my plan

- Install XP-SP3, sound and network drivers
- Install latest Nvidia drivers (175.19)
- Install Dvico and PVR-150 drivers
- Install Purevideo, CoreAVC decoders
- Install C runtime and .net 1-3
- Install FFDshow

I am not sure if I need PowerDVD (I had ver. 5 and it worked fine), what is the best version now if I have to install it?

Am I missing anything?

Is there any way to map DVD to a key?

I went into C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\KeyMappings

and changed the settings in Dvdplayer.xml

<command name="DVD_VIDEO_PLUGIN" key="F11"/>

to ^D, and a few others, but i couldn't make the dvd player start on a button press. Even the stock button of F11 doesn't seem to do anything.

I finally decided to try to get DVB-T working on my HVR-1300 and watch the local free to air channel HD5. I didn't have any H264 decoders, but I found one here. I chose the file "fdshow_beta5_rev2033_20080705_clsid.exe"

Unfortunately, I only get audio, no video with the following errors (full logs attached)

Now that the new tv season is coming I'm planning on putting my HTPC thru it's paces but I don't want to have it running all nite after I go to bed and it completes it's last recording.

I have a MYHD MDP-130 on another machine & it has an option to turn off the computer after it completes it's recording.

Is there a way to have GBPVR shut down my HTPC after a recording?

I recently installed MovieWiz (i am running GBPVR 1.2.13 on Vista), i am successful in adding movies to the library (i can scroll through my titles and see the metadata), but when i access the plugin from GBPVR it keeps telling me nothing has been configured and i haven't added anything (i am away from my home computer, but that is the basis of the message). I think of myself as fairly competent (although questioning that now), but i can't seem to determine what i am doing incorrectly. I have followed the information in the readme, but i keep getting the same message. I can't seem to track down any info on the forum of someone having a similar struggle.

So feel free to laugh at me, but if you have a suggestion i am happy to take the abuse!

Would anyone be opposed to a "phone home" feature that would report movies that are no longer available for Watch Instantly? It would be reported to my server and not Netflix and would simply remove the reported title from the list of movies. The only thing it would send is the movie ID, no personally identifiable information would be sent.
