I was wondering if one of the plugin developers might be interested in making a volume control plugin that basically duplicates the function of the Windows volume control put from within GBPVR.
The reason I ask is because I have set up my home theater with an Xbox feeding into my PCs line in, and the line out (GBPVR + Xbox) feeds into an amp. This allows me to use the GBPVR music collection when playing the console, but very often I need to exit GBPVR and adjust the line in / wave volumes to get a good mix.
If the volume control was within GBPVR it'd be much more slick. I'm thinking it'd basically have sliders and mute buttons.
Sofar I am very impressed with GBPVR, even the wife likes it. However we are unable to pause live tv.
When I press pause on the remote nothing happens (I am assuming that the button is not mapped properly) so i pause using the mouse. However as soon as I do this iam either bounced backt othe EPG screen or the main menu. I have specified a directory for live tv ands recrodings.
I have had this problem for a long time now and tried several ways to cure them, i.e trying a bunch of different decoders, both for video, audio and audio renderer but I am stuck! I've discussed this with Sub and he claims the problem is due to the combination of decoders and audio renderer. But I have tried everything I can think of and I am out of options...
The problem occurs ONLY with Live TV on AC3 (Dolby Digital) channels. When timeshifting or viewing recorded shows the problem goes away.
With the AC3 track channel I get bad sync with approximately up to 500 ms. But not always! Sometimes the sync is perfect. Sometimes the sync is better, sometimes worse. In timeshift mode however perfect all the time...
Soundcard is a Realtek ALC883 with latest drivers with S/PDIF out to a receiver that decodes PCM and AC3 tracks. MP2 sound on the other channels is decoded to PCM by ffdshow or similar before going to the receiver. The tuner is a Twinhan DVB-T PCI decoder.
Channels with MP2 sound does not have sync problems.
I would really like to cure this problem as it is driving me nuts. Any insight anyone?
My current setup is PowerDVD 8 video decoder, ffdshow audio decoder and Realtek HD Audio audio renderer.
Last version of SeacrhWiz that I had(few months ago), if I remember correctly allowed user to click on the the show once the search is complete. Then it would bring up a screen with shitload of info (actors, synopsis, ratings, etc.).
However the version I have now doesn't do that. If i click on the show in the middle part of the screen nothing happens is that something that has been removed or do I have an issue?

I am trying to resolve some video playback issues, and have downloaded a copy of graphedit. I'm hoping to be able to use this to determine where my problem lies.
In graphedit, if I select one of my Gbpvr recordings to render, I can create a graph that uses, for example, the ATI Mpeg decoder. When I play the recording in graphedit, everything is fantastic - no stutter, great picture, etc. However, if I specify the same ATI Mpeg decoder as the video decoder in config.exe, when I play the file in Gbpvr I get skipped frames etc. So there must be something else getting in the way.
Can someone tell me if there is a way to have graphedit display a graph for a recording that is currently running in Gbpvr? There is an option in graphedit to "Connect to a running graph in another application, but when I select this the list box is empty.
I feel like I'm getting very close to resolving the stutter that has plagued my system from day one, but just need a little guidance in how to get Gbpvr to use the same graph that I create in graphedit.
I have before used GBPVR until my PC with XP stopped functioning - and I did not get MVP function on VIsta - Have been using Microsoft - but I like GBPVR and the MVP so I thought of buying a cheap used computer with XP.
I only use SD and normally analogue and Hauppauge 150.
A number of times recently, I "have been told" by the WAF that the PCH/NMT has gone back to it's own menu at the end of playing a recording. With no remote button pushing.
It's no great problem getting back to gbpvr, but I thought I'd enquire. I've updated to the current PCH firmware, but I haven't a clue if that started it off.
Any thoughts welcome.

Is there any way to do this? I have "Exit on ESC" enabled and you can simply switch channels with pgup & pgdown, so the OSD is now completely unnecessary for me and just in the way. Setting the transparency to a certain value maybe?
