I'm having trouble with jumpy playback AND live TV. It'll be smooth for a few minutes, and then it will start to drop frames and get pretty jumpy.
I played back one of the recordings using VLC and it played perfectly smooth... so it makes me think that maybe it's a settings problem within GBPVR, or a driver issue maybe?
I recently installed a Gigabyte 8600 GT (passive cooling) because I thought it would fix my (somewhat) jumpy playback using the onboard GeForce 6150 video. But honestly, it's worse now with the dedicated card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I'm running the latest GBPVR and the latest NVIDIA drivers.
Is there a way to change the font (or try different fonts) in MovieWiz? The letters in my plasma 50 inch can be better.
The cover art (folder.jpg) picture on 50 inch plasma is washed out (My folder.jpg is very good quality). Any suggestions how I can make my cover art pop up? Resolutions? etc..
I get as far as downloading content but when I try to play before fully loaded a netflix popup comes up and asks for my netflix username and password. The mouse does not work but Tab does so I type in username and then password. But there is no way to enter the info, "Enter" doesn't work and the Tab to send the info is grayed out.
I just reinstalled PVR and set everything up and it's working...now...
When I go into the config to get rid of some of the plugins such as "system",
"pictures" ..etc so they don't show up on the menu .. I then save the config open up PVR again and they are still there. I open up the config again and there they are all checked again?
How does one fix that?
Also..
When I'm recording it doesn't show on the ICON as recording and when I open the status box is says "Sleeping"...but when I go back into PVR it says it's recording...
How does one fix that?
I wonder if I can get some help to get the Live TV at GBPVR PC client working with my server.
The problem I have is that I cannot play any live TV on my client PC from either the Live TV menu and TV Guide menu. All I got is a blank window when playing live TV.
I have looked at the wiki documentation about the MUX and the MPEG-2 decoder configurations. I tried all available MPEG-2 decoders from my client PC and they all gave me a blank window when playing the live TV.
I believe the server is configured properly as when I started watching live TV from client PC, I can see the buffer TS file was created with increasing file size, and I can use third party media player to play those TS files.
However, the client PC doesn't seem to want to play those files and the most common error I got from the "PVRX2.exe-native.log" is "ERROR DirectShowHelperVMR9::playFile() - Waited ten seconds, and file size is still zero!!!". I am definitely sure the file isn't in zero size and I can watch them from other media players.
I have tried changing the client mode from "steaming" to "file access" which will require proper share folders setup for TV buffering and recording, still the same result with the error from PVRX2.exe complaing cannot access the TS files.
I am zipping all logs in case you need to look into it. Thanks!

today i have download your great version. but i can`t use my hauppauge hvr-1100 with it.
because i only can use the analoge tuner from this card because i have only television cable. but hvr-1100 is only installed as digital source.
i had tested hvr-1500 driver in analoge mode but he don`t find the right way to scan my channels. pls install analoge hvr-1100 hauppauge an send a email to me when is installed. i use at this time wintv but cant power off windows xp with wintv software. and not to forget radio and video and other plugins of media center software
for a few days i had use mediaportal but it don`t work with my (normal pci grafik card ati radeon 7000 64mb) I must ust this for tv out because my pc don`t have a agp slot and pci express long version slot. and it had only 2 normal pci and 1 pci express small. So great your system is very compertipl i hope live tv don`t need to much ressources
For the last few days all recordings on one of my machines have failed to record. Directly entered recordings and all scheduled recordings have recorded only a few megabytes of information and then stopped. This is on a computer that has been working perfectly for a long time.
I am using version 1.2.9 with 2 Hauppauge PVR 150MCE capture cards. I don't know much about which log should show me what but I found this when I checked GBPVRRecordingService logs:
