I just recently installed an ATI 3450 graphics card in my PVR in an attempt to be able to run VMR9 Custom rendered. When I watch live TV (OTA ATSC) the PureVideo applet shows up in the system tray area as expected, and I can use it to change the PureVideo settings. But if I hit pause which goes into time delay mode, or if I watch a show that was previously recorded, the PureVideo applet disappears. Am I missing something? I would think all 3 modes of operation would be the same. Coincidentally, live TV produces a pretty good picture, but time shift mode and recordings both result in a lot of tearing.
I have a few problems but probably the most pressing one is the fact that the remote stops working for what seems like a random amount of time and then starts again also some buttons don't work. Sometimes channels change 'all by themselves' we've had the exorcist in and we're not haunted so i hope someone out there can point me in the right direction.

No problem playing MKV with windows media player, but in GBPVR all audio tracks are playing at the same time. For some reason there are ~5 FFDShow audio filters running.
I understand that this isnt particularily a GBPVR question, but it only occurs in GBVPVR. Any suggestions?
Hi all, been lurking around for a coupla months, solved most of my probs so far just through reading wealth of info here and at wiki. Great software and community both. I've had more fun testing , tweaking, adding pluggins etc, than i have playing video games lol.
My issue is im getting a random lockup (hard crash) of computer while using live tv...may also have happened during a recording or two in past month as they mysteriously "failed". Using 1.2.13, only pluggins installed are torrents , web cam, and comunity skin...all are working the way they should.
System specs are amd 3700+,asrock mobo socket 939, 2 gigs ram, ati 1950 pro vid card, 160 gig ide hd, hauppage pvr150 tuner
Happens very randomly , ive watched for hours without issue, also had it happen twice in last 2 days. Never have seen it using hauppage software, but since finding your program, i hardly ever start wintv.

I was wondering, is it possible to use the same xml data to feed the program guide of two different capture sources?
What I am trying to do is this....I have my analog cable plugged into my HVR-1600 card, OTA ATSC into the digital side (but I am not concerned with that right now), and have clearQAM cable plugged into my HVR-1800 card to do the QAM stuff.
I have the xml data from zap2it that has all the analog & digital channels together in one file. I want to use that one file to fill in the data for both sources. Can this be done? I thought I had it done before, but each time I do it now, one is always empty after I do the other. Thanks!
I resurrected my HTPC after a lightning strike about 3 months ago.
I believe I was using driver v2.0.35.23348 with decent results; I needed to use some of the registry tweaks in order to eliminate audio clipping, though.
I had problems with Tuner 1 (S-video connection; audio OK but video is pure white) and let Windows Update update the driver automagically. It is now running v2.0.48.25037. Of course, the upgrade eliminated all my registry tweaks so audio is clipping again.
I moved my analog video over to Tuner 2 which appears to work OK, except for the audio clipping. According to Device Manager, Tuner 2 is running the older driver v2.0.35.23348.
I checked hauppauge.com and noticed that they package a large update file including drivers, middleware and WinTV2K app.
Has anyone tried the new stuff, and can the input audio levels be controlled as was possible with the older drivers? Any benefits going with the new drivers?
So I just got my PCH yesterday and I was about to go through the steps to make livetv work.

I have the latest gbpvr installed with my tuners working on a client computer.
I did some -pch command and that made the gbpvr interface go away. now i have waiting for pch connection or something similar. I think that was from old instruction and now I want to start over and get this done.
When I press play, my recording immediately crashes in GB-PVR. I'm using v1.2.13 and the latest version of Comskip in Vista. I also have no problems playing them back in Media Player Classic HC. I remember it was working when I installed GB-PVR for the first time, but I wonder what I could have done to break it. Thanks
I have a server that works wonderfully. I'm now setting up a client in another room. When I play a recording in either gbpvr (streaming mode) or media player it stutters and the video isn't synced up with the audio. Since it happens in both applications I presume changing from streaming to file sharing mode won't help. I presume the network isn't fast enough to keep up. I'm on a wireless 802.11g network and don't have many options there as I can't run a cable between these machines. Are there settings, perhaps buffering, within GBPVR that may resolve this?
