The situation that I am having:

When using the XML method of EPG for a Pluto TV channel, the TV series SxxExx is not added to the recorded filename. 
When changing the method to SD for that channel, the SxxExx is added.

The problem with using SD for the Pluto TV channel is that it typically does not have the latest episode data for any but the next few hours. Recordings scheduled as "Record All New" or "Record All" do not get SxxExx for the later recordings until after the next NextPVR EPG update, when the first 3 or 4 episodes then get full/correct information.

Is there a way to make the XML EPG method add the SxxExx information, or reload the SD EPG data more frequently than 1 time per day?

I'm having an issue getting Nextpvr imports loaded using NextTool to play in Kodi. Imports can play in Nextpvr Web and client. 

Will not play in Kodi, Import can be seen in Kodi.

Thanks to your prompt support (French Canal+ group missing (nextpvr.com)), I finally have my channels scan complete (from 29 to 32).
My hardware is a quad tuner Hauppauge card.
Except if I missed something, but once you have scanned the first device/tuner, you need to do the same for the 3 others, which can take a good amount of time (in particular if using all countris/all regions).
Should be great if you could have the options to simply mirror/copy the channels list to the others tuners.

At the very first scan (install from scratch), once you have scanned the first tuner, NextPVR is proposing you to mirror/copy the channels list to the other tuners.
Why not proposing the same when you do a (re)scan of an already scanned devices?

Does the "Keep Tuners Primed" setting keep the tuner captive to the NextPVR server?
I use the WinTV server to tune Channel 4HD, which for some reason is not tuned by the NextPVR server - even though the other channel on the transponder is tuned in.  However, lately, WinTV cannot access the tuner unless I uninstall NextPVR

How do NextPVR web and UI clients determine that the Original Air Date year gets appended to the title (assuming not from Schedules Direct)

Just noticed the app updated a couple days ago.  Build number is 1.8.211224 (44).  

While viewing a recording on my Galaxy Tab S7 the play/pause and stop buttons no longer appear.

Also noticed after update that the server doesn't automatically connect to last one used.  You need tap the server address twice for it to connect.  I have 2 server options so probably not a normal setup.

I've got NextPVR Server installed on both Win7 and Win10 boot partitions of one machine with a Silicon Dust HDHomeRun Flex 4K connected.

I've also got NextPVR app installed on both Win7 and Win10, as well as on [back before Roku disabled it] Roku Ultra 2020 (4800) and ATV4K (2019) and NVidia Shield Tube and Samsung S21 Ultra.

And of course I also have HDHomeRun DVR server installed on both Win7 and Win10, matched with the HDHR client apps on ATV4K and NVidia Shield Tube (but not Roku). And I also have the HDHR client app installed on my S21 Ultra.

Using HDHR I have 100% success getting to the DVR server (on both Win7 and Win10), from ALL OF THE CLIENT APPS. So I can use HDHR directly from ATV4K, Shield, and also my S21 Ultra phone.

However with NextPVR only the client apps on Roku (previously worked when it was supported), ATV4K and Shield successfully connect to the NextPVR Server (again, for either Win7 or Win10).

For the Samsung S21 Ultra app client it simply does not connect. Connecting circle spins forever and never makes any progress. Eventually there is about failure to connect.

I'm using 192.168.1.26:8866 as the server along with my custom PIN. This is exactly as it is set up on the Shield, and it works there without a problem. But not with the S21.

Thinking perhaps it might be a BitDefender Firewall problem (although there's no problem connecting to NextPVR Server from all the other clients) I've tried turning off Firewall. But it makes no difference. Still no connection success from the S21. So it doesn't seem like BitDefender is involved with the failure. Must be something unique about the Android app as it applies to the Samsung phone, since there's no problem using the Shield version of the app.


I'm open to any suggestions. I'll also provide any other details about my setup that might be helpful.

I like the search that NextPVR offers on the local website. It works quickly and allows quick recording. However, it has very limited options. I think it should be quite easy to make this search more sophisticated. For example, it would be great to be able to sort results by channels, not only by date.
