At some point I inadvertently created a server IP that doesn't actually exist. But each time I launch the app it still asks me to pick a server. I'm guessing if there's just one it is automatically selected. I've searched around, but can't seem to find any way to remove a server. Is there any way to do this?
Been trying out NextPVR v5 and I must say I am liking what I see so far. I do like the simplicity compared to TVH.
I have been trying out various installations; Docker, Ubuntu (in a LXD Container) and Windows Server.
I see this has been asked in the past (2015) but couldn't find an answer for version 5.
Does nextpvr support accurate recording? I think this is called EIT; from my testing I don't think it does. Tvheadend will start recording right before the program starts even with a padding of 5 minutes but this doesn't seem to be the case with NextPVR.
I tried it with HDHR mode and local hdhomerun DVB-T device (windows). Not sure how OTA guide is populated in HDHR mode.
I updated to the January update, which has two layout changes. Menu now splits Recordings, Scheduled Recordings, What's New. Used to just hit the arrow key and go through each, now it takes more strokes.
Second change is to a graphic display of recorded shows. The pictures aren't needed, and take up a lot of real estate.
Usually, I don't have subtitles enabled in uidroid Server settings but today I thought I would try it. I kept getting "ERROR_CODE_FAILED_RUNTIME_CHECK" toast messages pop up then the stream would stop. After a while I tried turning off subtitles in uidroid settings then I didn't get any more errors.
I guess I will just leave subtitles off because currently I can't get subtitles working on any channel I can receive. I just get the "No matching subtitle found" toast message.
EDIT: I have some channels that subtitles are working.
When I first open NPVR full screen (default), the fonts are fuzzy (font1.jpg) - left image). If I toggle show windowed, then full screen, the fonts are crisp (font2.jpg)
This is a recently built Windows 10 64 Pro system.
- main menu now defaults to breaking old Recordings screen into separate items for Whats New, Recordings and Scheduler. (can be reverted in config.xml for those that don't like them separate)
Where is the setting for this? It wasn't obvious to me in the config.xml.
I jump (right/left click on remote) between the what's new, scheduled recordings and all recordings screen and the new approach has made it more cumbersome. Not sure why both can't coexist, but I'd rather use the old style.
Thanks.
There seems to be a new issue with zoom using NextPVR.exe or Nlite (client.zip) where the display does not completely fill to the top of the TV screen on one of my SD channels. NextPVR.exe OSD says the zoom mode is "Remove Letterbox" which is the closest I can get to full screen video. I tried Nlite connecting to my Linux server and NextPVR.exe on my Windows 10 server locally, and the zoom behavior is the same.
With the uidroid client, I can get zoom to fill the entire TV screen correctly.
I have a SD account and have entered the login information in Settings -> Guide. The SD source looks like it was added to EPG Sources. However, when I update the EPG, I am only getting about one day's worth of information. I can log into SD, so I don't think that's the issue. Am I missing something in downloading the EPG info?
Is there any way to enable "Unauthenticated Access" for just the localhost or local subnet BUT still force login/pin for outside the network or localhost?
Happy New Year to you and all supporters of NextPVR.
I have just upgraded to Version: 5.2.4.220103, thanks for this post-festive treat, on my RPi4. All seems well so far however the release notes state

Straight after the upgrade and NO changes to config.xml, this doesn't seem to be happening in the Web App - should it ?, see screenshot attached.
