How about creating a way to input the name or partial name of a show or movie and search the guide for it? I use the search guide function all the time but get tripped up on shows starting with small words like "The". Also I only remember part of the title sometimes.
And since I'm wishing; how about the functionality above but with the added feature of being able to keep the titles in a list and having the software search using that list each day. Kind of like the "Scout" function on Directv satellite receivers.
A new problem I am getting with 1.2.13. I only recently upgraded to 1.2.13 - just used the upgrade and the GBPVRTSMON patch from the survival guide: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=90
But now I am getting random crashes when trying to view DVB-S channels:

I am having problems playing DVD's ripped to directories. I can play them off of disc either using the Microsoft MPEG 2 decoder, or with ffdshow as the decoder by switching under the DVD tab. The output from GraphEdit shows no visible problems with either way when I test with either decoder. Under the DVD tab I use the built in DVD Navigator, and then either system default for the decoder, which then assumes the Microsoft MPEG 2, or switch it manually to ffdshow and run the OSD option so that I know ffdshow is in fact the one i'm using. Will all of this said, when I create a directory under my video library such as: e:\videos\movies\DVD\Shrek\VIDEO_TS\vob1...vob2..., etc. with all the files and browse to that location under video library using GBPVR, I see shrek.dvd for instance. However, when I click on that or hit enter with my remote all I see is a black screen. Any suggestions? The only other dvd playback software I have on the machine is the customized MPC. I don't have any of the MPC codecs registered, I just have vobs' open in it outside of GBPVR. Could I try to switch to it as the DVD Navigator? I would prefer to use the built-in one, but if this is worth a shot I'm game. If so, what would I call it in the config.xml DVD navigator section? I tried a couple of names, but it never showed up when I ran the config utility. I haven't tried DVDs as an ISO yet with daemon tools, I'd like to get this going first. Thanks for your help...
In the Wiki Manual/Default Plugins, Photo Library is not listed.
Under Configuration/Plugins/Default Plugins, Photo Library is listed. But if you click the link it takes you to a Wiki login page. My guess is that somewhere there is a least a brief page on the default Photo Library plugin. Could someone fix these links?
I added an Xtra emulator. According to the wiki, I need to add a rom path on the RomPath tab, and that my Xtra Emulator name should appear on the Systems pull down box. My new xtra emulator is not appearing in the drop down. Am I doing something wrong?
My Hauppauge tuner has both Cable and Component inputs, and I'm considering using it to digitize the output from my VideoCam (not live-feed but recorded-playback). However, I don't know where to go in GB-PVR to initiate a fully manual turn-on/turn-off (as opposed to start-at/end-at) recording. :confused:
I also have a digital tuner that has component outputs, and I'm planning to use GB-PVR to capture this external tuner source also, so I was thinking that if I can wrap my head around what's necessary for one, I may have a better clue on how to do the other.
I currently have set up two capture sources, and named them Analog and Digital respectively. The Analog source has an EPG associated with it, and works wonderfully. The Digital source uses the same Analog Recording Plugin, but has no EPG source and no Channel Changer. Someday I'll figure out how to get two different EPGs from SchedulesDirect, then my digital box to GB-PVR interface will flow easier.
