Hi,

I have installed gbpvr and configured it for the Leadtek USB2 dongle. The very flaky WinFast software which came with the dongle does play fine but freezes after about 5 mins of TV coverage, which is why I tried to set up gbpvr.

gbpvr recognized the dongle on digital capture, successfully incorporated the EPG, successfully scanned for the Freeview channels available and set them up correctly activating the dongle to do so.

However it refuses to play live TV, claiming the signal is encrypted and has no strength.

What should I do to enable gbpvr to recognize the signal and get it working?

I also just tried several installed decoders in the playback config including Cyberlink which is supported Nero Arcsoft and Mpeg2 but still no video or audio???

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Hi,

Thanks for the offer to look at the log files. I've zipped the whole folder, so there will be several trials there.

Try running reregisterfilters.bat.

Also set the audio renderer back to 'system default'.

Thanks ... I changed the audio renderer back to system default and reregistered the filters, but I still get a black screen ... I've attached the updated log files as CKlogs2.zip so the whole process is clear ...

Any other ideas?

That filter still doesnt seem to registered.

Try manually registering it:

regsvr32 "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRTSMon.ax"

Hi,

Thanks. The command line reregistration worked for "GB-PVR TS Mon" and all the channels are now giving sound but the video is still not coming through. Do you have any suggestions?

Are there any other malfunctioning routines in the log file? Should I try swapping decoders? Currently it's on Cyberlink. I'll try to look through the log file myself although inexperienced, but I've attached the latest one here for trouble shooting purposes.

This is an interesting exercise for a Mac user used to a Unix terminal who hasn't used the windows command line monitor before, let alone doing a lot of subsidiary installing using cross-application resources.

It probably means use dont have an appropriate H.264 video decoder. Do you have the Cyberlink H.264 decoder installed and selected as the H264 decoder on the playback tab of the config app?
