I have a new install on Win10 as server using Kodi client.
First, a minor issue: NextPVR Service doesn't automatically start at boot. I changed Startup Type from "Automatic (Delayed Start)" to "Automatic", and that seems to start it up at boot.
Recording is intermittent. Most of the time, it doesn't work. It worked fine right after the boot when I changed Startup Type to Automatic, but it didn't work after subsequent cold boots.
When recording was working, I was making several test recordings of 5-10 minutes long. Some of them could play right away, but a couple of them (both of the same channel) would sit at a blank screen with spinning wheel for about 30-40 seconds before it would start playing. Before I realized it can take that long to cue up, I was going back and trying to get back to live TV or stop the playback and nothing would respond unless I exited Kodi entirely. Also once the recording did start playback, it would play fine, but if I hit skip ahead for the first time, it would take 30-40 seconds stuck until it would recover. All subsequent uses of skip ahead worked, however. It was always just the first time that would be stuck.
Is there a way to add some left and right padding to the program title in the guide? If the text fills the box several separate programs appear as one. For example in the screenshot channel 12 has 4 programs but the text all joins together.
I have a few clear QAM SD channels that I receive from my cable ISP provider with an HDHR Connect. A few channels show up with a boarder around the picture (not full screen). All clients including the web client show up the same way.
Is there a way for NextPVR to make these channels full screen? I can adjust my TV to zoom mode which makes the picture full screen for now.
I am planning to update my development machine to Win 11 when it arrives for my PC and at the same time upgrade to Visual Studio 2022 and upgrade to a bigger NVMe drive. At that time I will focus on debug builds for Nexus only. If there are any significant outstanding issues that anyone would like me to look at let me know soon.
As I recall, the Windows GUI for NextPVR has the ability to sort the recurring recording list by things like name, priority, and maybe date created. It would be nice if the NextPVR5 web GUI had the same options. Right now it's kind of hard to find a recurring recording in the list because they appear to be random (although I think they are actually by creation date with the newest at the top).
And as a bonus related request, it would be nice to be able to change the priority from the web GUI as well. I can do that from the Windows GUI (or by manually updating the SQLite DB), and with only three tuners I do need to prioritize things so that stuff that only airs once gets prioritized ahead of stuff I know repeats again later in the week.
Hi, I've been running nextpvr for some time now, and just recently started getting these recording errors in the web interface. Please help. This has been several days, and i keep getting a [Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.] I'm using nextpvr with kodi on a fire TV, and I'm running everything on a old dell xps machine with a i7 3770 cpu. I'm using a combination of usb tuners, and pci-e tuners. I'll post a screenshot of my tuners. I'm able to tune live tv on the channels that failed to record. Not sure why they failed, but they did. I'll post a screenshot of the shows that failed too as well the logs. Any help would be appreciated as to why this is suddenly happening.
In the What's New list, my filter for local recordings isn't working. When I select it, I also see recordings that aren't in that directory. It works from the Ready Recordings list.
